Great location and management is super responsive with requests for early check-in and issue with toilet upon arrival. House cools down quickly, which was nice in triple digit weather. The kitchen and appliances are very clean.However, had to give this a 3-star based on the cleanliness and maintenance of the home. When we walked in we immediately faced an odor that we couldn't place, maybe a previous smoker and the smell just can't go away. The rooms are extremely small, and the primary room has very very dirty carpet and is missing blinds on the main slider.Love the location, but will find a different property when we return to PHX.

Nice 4 bedroom with pool

Overall very clean, except it smelled like previous renters had smoked especially in the master. Phallic pool float found in pool, not removed from previous bachelorette party. Lots of forms and waivers to fill out - never had to do that with other houses. Ping pong table in garage so we couldn’t pull our car in. Pool could use a light or a light of some kind on that end. String lights were not enough light. Hard to see kids swimming at night. Too hot to go in during the day. Very comfortable living room and beautiful kitchen. Love that they provided full size bottles of shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Plenty of towels. Appreciate the alarm on the sliding door, I was apprehensive with no pool fence. Pool pump/mechanics are very loud. Nice neighborhood, neighbors close, but no bother.

Clean goof locay

Overall great experience. The house is in a good area and quiet neighborhood. The accommodations were clean, spacious and had most everything you’d need. The only complaint was the pool wasn’t heated when we arrived. After trouble shooting via text with propery managment they got a repairman out the next day and fixed it. We missed one day of swimming because it was too cold. Not the end of the world but still frustrating that it wasn’t checked out before our arrival. We still liked the house and would stay again.

Great Rental Property

This was a great home to stay at for our annual golf trip. The house is close to the airport and close to Scottsdale which made for quick and easy transportation. The house was clean upon arrival, and was exactly how it was described and pictures shown. Would definitely come back here.

Centrally located and great layout, minor challenges

We had a family friendly spring break and the house was great with adequate space in the adult and kid rooms. The kitchen layout was awesome for meals and board games. The pool size and layout was perfect! And the temps were great for spring break. One major struggle was the pool pump placement right by the central sliding door made it impossible to hear each other across the patio to the house and hard to talk around the fire pit and in pool. Would be ideal if the Pump was on one end of house instead. This wouldn’t be so bad if it was all adults but hard with kids being in and outside. Awesome central location to many hiking and dining and entertainment options. We stayed 4 nights and would have been more than 3 stars if cleanliness was better! A few downsides on cleanliness/ etc: The hot tub walls had thick grime & water smelled. The beds were hard and pillows were worn out. The couch smelled and had visible stains. The bedroom carpets were torn and stained. Kitchen was sparse on cooking supplies like sheet pans and plates.

Maintenance issues, in great location!

Before arriving, we had emailed our request for pool heating. No response or acknowledgement. Tried via text and VRBO messaging - still no response. Finally left a voicemail, and received a text and then again No follow up! We arrived to the house after dark and all lights were off. The first impression of the house was updated but run down.Although the kitchen had been nicely updated, it was not stocked well. Plenty of utensils, but very sparse on bowls, plates, glasses. The pans and knives have seen better days, and everything seemed dirty. Items didn’t come out clean from the dishwasher, even after rinsing. We struggled cooking simple meals - the kitchen didn’t have simple items such as a carrot peeler or mixing bowls for cooking.On day 2 the kitchen sink started clogging.The hot tub was cold - 74 degrees when we arrived. The pool was 71 degrees. Even after maintenance came out, the pool only reached 74 degrees, during our stay.All rugs, carpets, and cushions on the indoor couch needed serious cleaning.The outdoor cushions were soaking wet and dirty. We dried them out in the sun the next day, and covered them with towels for use. Blinds were damaged and (1) of the beds in the dual bedroom was damaged and squeaked terribly.The tub drain was clogged and the overflow cap had fallen off and looked dirty. The hot tub was not cleaned properly, fake lashes and full of lint. Unfortunately the cumulation resulted in significant loss of time to enjoy our stay!

Quaint little house in Scottsdale.

Good location. House was clean for the most part. Missing blinds in master bedroom needs to be addressed for privacy but we made due. Pool was not heated even though we were told it would be but again we dealt with it. Hot tub heater didn’t work either. Overall it was a good place to stay and would recommend once the minor issues are addressed.

Pool and Some Amenities Not as Advertised

The layout of the house and bedroom configurations was a plus for our large group and overall is a nice property. However, some of the furniture and carpets have obvious staining and need replacing and/or deep cleaning. Also, several of the amenities like an ironing board, paper towels, a sufficient number of drinking glasses, dish towels, extra blankets and blender were not provided when we arrived.Most disappointing though was the pool, which was one of the main reasons we selected the property and was advertised as being heated at no cost during the months of October to April. Despite reaching out to the host and property manager, the pool never did get heated and couldn't use it at 60 degrees in January. Also, the pool policy required you to keep the creepy crawler vacuum attached at all times - even when using it. Never seen this before. Communication with the host was hit and miss and the property management person was not very sympathetic to these oversights when we brought them to their attention. Overall, this property has potential but our experience was not as expected.

Honest heads up

I normally don’t post a negative review, but I feel others should know about a few things. The beds and pillows are firm but comfy, the place has decent amenities (we don’t cook supper there though). The location is about 10-15 minutes from Old Scottsdale and only a short distance from the 101. The bad:Pool doesn’t have heat despite the property manager telling me they’d turn it on for 75. Does not exist. The jacuzzi is a tiny 4 person tub, maybe 4 kids, but 3 adults was uncomfortable. The patio area is dirty and when we arrived the spa was disgustingly filthy. They called the pool people right away and had it drained and cleaned, however we couldn’t use it for the first 3 days of our visit because it was stuck in holiday mode and wouldn’t warm up. We had to sweep and vacuum the patio area so we weren’t tracking sand and ricks and crud into the spa each time one of us went in. The main bathroom smelled of string urine when we arrived and the rooms were tidy, but floors under beds and around night stands and under couches were filthy. The property manager promptly send someone over to clean up. After 3 days of being there someone finally showed up with a leaf blower for the patio area and they just blew everything into the pool, then scooped out everything floating. It didn’t bother us since we couldn’t use the pool because it was so cold the week we were there. We booked because of the pool and jacuzzi and were sadly disappointed in the place.

Great Scottsdale House

This house was great! Supper clean, nice bedrooms and the outdoor space was awesome. My teenagers loved the pool and the whole family enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and sitting area.

Home with "Heated Pool" did not heat the pool

I have stayed in dozens of home in Arizona and always book a place with a heated pool during the winter. I was reassured that the pool would be heated on my arrival, but it was freezing cold. I notified Vrbo/management upon my arrival and daily informing them that the pool was not swimmable due to the water being frigid. Initially, they said that freon was needed, but even after it was 'taken care of', the temperature never changed -- I was in the home for 6 nights and was unable to use the pool for a single swim. For someone like me who likes to take a swim several times a day and during the evenings, this was extremely frustrating. The management company responded, "We are sending a tech out" and "The pool should now be heated", but the issue was never resolved. I asked whom I could contact for a partial refund since the heated pool was the only reason I rented the home. There was no response. I asked a 2nd time. Still no response. I finally gave up and feel like this managment company is either so disorganized that they couldn't ensure the pool was heated properly, or that they are duping tenants with a "heated pool" in the property description but dont' have any intention of making sure the pool is swimmable during the colder months. After day # 5 (of 6 nights), I finally gave up and just stopped communicating with them. I've never left a negative review before, but this experience was SO unbelievably frustrating and I wanted to warn potential renters.

Overall, great house. Backyard was nice with the fire table. Too cold out to use the pool. Need to add coffee mugs to the kitchen. Otherwise, no complaints.

House smelled

As soon as you walk in it smells off. Not sure if smoke or what. I always bring Scentsy with me and that did nothing to help with smell. Lots of stains in house the front rug had a huge stain, towels in bathroom had stains. All in all it was missing so many little things to make you feel like it was clean. No extra paper towels just the half roll from arrival. I expected at least one extra roll. The pics show a red umbrella by the pool (it is the MAIN picture) we could not find any umbrellas for by the pool. The pool was main reason we booked. We did like the neighboorhood and location. That house needs fresh paint and something done about the smell. Most of the pool toys were broken. We were not impressed by the house at all. Thankfully we stayed busy to not have to be in the house with the smell. We were contstanting spraying a room spray to get smell out. Would not recommend based on smell and tons of stains

Great location and nice home

Great location. Good sleeping arrangements. The cigarette smell was really bad. We came home with luggage and clothes that smelled. Maybe I didn’t notice that it said it was a smoking location. I always assume non-smoking. When I asked he offered to send spray over. I believe it was in the ducts.

A lot of time and effort has been put into making this a great vacation rental. Completely updated home in a great location. Comfortable and stylish furniture. Plenty of room for large groups. Backyard is a great place to relax and enjoy the Arizona Weather. Covered patio, Sectional Couch, and fire pit as well as yard games and ping pong table for entertainment. You won't be disappointed here!
