Perfect getaway!

Much needed couples getaway after a very hectic year. We couldn’t have asked for more out of the Beachside One condo. The amenities were perfect, the pool, hot tub, outside lounge area and proximity to the beach, were enjoyed it all. We will for sure be looking to stay at this condo in the future.

Enjoyed out stay

Two grandparents with 2 teenage grandchildren stayed a week at the property. We all enjoyed our stay. Room was adequate size with a beautiful view of ocean. The golf cart was a plus with the only detriment was that the 2 back seats had accumulated water in the cushions so that when they were sat upon a stain was on your clothing.

Everything about it was great! Clean, comfortable, great location, golf cart included was a bonus! The only thing I can think of that wasn’t in the best shape was the golf cart. It had a loud rattle sometimes, but it did not bother us. Thankful we found this place and was able to book this trip with my family before school starts back. We made such sweet memories here last week!!!

You can even see the dolphins playing. Yes, the golf cart is a must have. It is nice to travel throughout the resort in a golf cart and kids really enjoy it as well. Great View, Great Location, BAD beds 😫

The location and condo were AMAZING! However the beds were insanely uncomfortable. The couch pull out was not sleep able, the mattress was so thin you were basically sleeping on the rods. All the other beds were rock hard as well. Overall it was a great place, but be prepared for painful and restless nights 😫

The owner has been made aware of issues with the beds from previous reviews and actually had the king bed replaced on May 24th with a brand new king bed, so this was in the unit for your stay. We are so sorry you didn't find it comfortable! The owner also has ordered new twin mattresses for the guest room, however they are still in transit. We hope you enjoyed your stay despite the mattress comfort issues!

Hello Thomas. The pass codes to our properties protect our owners, as well as our guests. The check in times are very clear on our contracts, websites, as well as any correspondence initially when you book... it outlines that we allow early arrivals if the property is ready and the fees are also outlined in our contracts and reservation details. You came our busiest week apart from July 4th, which we are heavily prepared for, but you are correct that door codes do not work until 4pm. You can always contact us to see if you can get in sooner... we understand people travel from long distances to get to our beautiful beaches. The lobby is not maintained by Platinum, and people going in and out in wet bathing suits might be the cause of a "wet dog" smell... we certainly could have made a call for you about this to the association that handles the lobby if we had known it was an issue for condo you stayed in is have housekeeping, inspectors and the property managers in the unit before guests arrive to insure you have a clean unit and no maintenance issues. We did not know you had an issue, because you did not make a call to us, so please let us know if you have any issues when you return so we can do everything possible to make it right and your accommodations are what you expect. We thrive for our guests to have the very best experience when they stay with Platinum and we hope you come back and stay with us again in the future. Thank you for your feedback!

Will not stay here again.

The only reason I chose this condo was because of the golf cart. We were too embarrassed to drive to thing around. it was filthy and the seats were ripped ex posing the foam that smelled due to not having it covered. The couch in the condo was filthy. The shower was very dated and in the guest bath part go the cabinet looked rotted. I wig=sh that I could post the pictures that I took.

Disappointed

Location was great as unit was on the beach; however, it was not thoroughly cleaned, the beds were uncomfortable, and the golf cart was old and not clean. Additionally, the golf cart battery would not hold a charge. We related this to the management company and a technician inspected the cart. We were told a loose wire was the problem, but the golf cart battery continued to run down quickly so we could only use it sparingly. Also, we were trapped in the elevator between floors for more than 15 minutes before help arrived.

Thank you for your feedback. We have related your dissatisfaction with the mattress to the property owner. We apologize for any housekeeping issues you experienced when you arrived. We do have staff on site seven days a week to address any problems and will gladly send a housekeeper back to ensure our guests' satisfaction - we have also notified the department manager and will be following up for future reservations. Our golf carts go through an annual inspection and unfortunately after heavy use all summer they can get "worn down" - we are checking on the battery issue. The homeowner's association is quick to respond to elevator issues and will always work as quickly as possible to assist guests if the elevator gets stuck. Again, thank you for your feedback as it gives us the opportunity to correct issues!

Beachside One 4063: OK but could easily be made GREAT.

Pros: Sandestin Resort complex is beautiful. The Beachside One building is older but well maintained. Elevators were quick and efficient with never much of a wait. Every staff member encountered was polite, professional and courteous. Room 4063 has a great view and pleasant decor. Lights and music on when we first opened the door made a nice welcoming impression. Everything was neat and tidy in appearance. Cons: - Rugs were very dirty. You can even see in the online picture of the condo the heavy soiling of the shag rug by the coffee table. - Mattresses need replacement. Two of three mattresses were very badly worn with large deep body depressions in one side of the king mattress and in one of the two twin mattresses. - Twin bed fitted sheets were heavily pilled in the foot area. - HVAC vents were very dusty in the small bedroom/bath. - Golf cart is a clunker. Conclusion: Our family will likely stay at Sandestin Resort again but unlikely in Beachside One 4063.

Ideal location for a spring break getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There are a lot of options in Destin, and we think Sandestin is the best balance of upscale while not being too stuffy. The location on the beach was perfect. If you've never been here before note that you can't really walk from building to building. Each one is individually gated. Also be aware that you'll need to rent chairs as this unit doesn't have them. The condo itself was very nice, though showing its age with some worn surfaces in the bedrooms and bathrooms. It's a beach condo though, so met our expectations. Very clean.The golf cart was great but a little hard to find. it was more of a combo grey/beige depending on how the light hit it, and we were never 100% sure we had the right cart. Would be great if they listed the permit number or parking spot in the condo so you could be sure you had the right one. We weren't sure if they'd let us drive the cart throughout the entire Sandestin resort but they're happy to let you through any gate on property while on the cart.Expect cold ocean water for March spring break in Destin, though the pool is heated!We look forward to staying here again!

Reviewer Comments: Our condo in beachside one number 4063 was absolutely amazing.Breathtaking views of the ocean, no better way to wake up in the morning than to look out you huge windows of the bedroom at the ocean waves rolling in. Watching the beautiful sunsets from the balcony in the evening just can’t be beat. The condo was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing vacation for my wife and I, the property was beautiful, pool and hot tub and entire patio aera was the best of any condo unit we have ever stayed in. We will definitely stay here again, AARON and the staff at platinum vacations went above and beyond to make this vacation amazing. I highly recommend this condo, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give it a tryThe outlet mall near by is a great choice for shoppers and so many great restaurants. I highly recommend McGuire’s Irish pub, Grimaldi’s brick oven pizza, and for a tasty treat try kilwins in destin commons shopping district.

Great Stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great experience at 4063 Beachside One! Comfortable beds, great golf cart, very clean, kitchen well stocked with equipment. Only two small issues, the garbage disposal in the kitchen sink didn’t work so even though we were careful not to put any food down it, after a while the sink became very slow to drain. Also, if you plan to cook in the kitchen, you may want to bring a cookie sheet and hot pads with you, those were the only things we wished we had and didn’t. The location of this unit is great! View is awesome! My kids enjoyed the mini golf course that was nearby. Golf cart was my husbands favorite part! It was fun to drive it to shops, restaurants and the grocery store!

Breathtaking view!!!!

First time at Sandestin. Could not have asked for a better experience. The view at this condo is amazing. The only complaint I have is the twin beds were very uncomfortable. I know that has been issue from other guests. Other than that we couldnt have picked a better condo for our vacation.
