La "Casa do Castelo" es un apartamento situado en el segundo piso de un edificio en la zona histórica recuperada centenario S. Castillo Jorge en Lisboa. La casa está en una zona tranquila, donde se puede despertar, para descartar la alarma, con el canto de los pájaros o la campana de la iglesia de la Gracia. Con magníficas vistas sobre la ciudad, la casa castillo cuenta con dos dormitorios, sala de estar, comedor, cocina, baño y una muy agradable terraza al aire libre. El castillo, los moriscos, la iglesia de S. Vicente de Fora y el mercado de pulgas, los barrios de Gracia, Alfama y Mouraria están a una distancia de un corto paseo, así como el centro de Lisboa. Muy cerca se puede encontrar varios restaurantes, cafés o bares.

El "Castillo de Casa" es un apartamento situado en el segundo piso de un edificio centenario recuperados en la zona histórica de San Jorge castillo en Lisboa. La casa está en una zona tranquila, donde se puede despertar con el canto de los pájaros o la campana de la iglesia de la Gracia. Con una magnífica vista de la ciudad, la casa cuenta con dos dormitorios, sala, despensa, cocina, baño y una terraza muy agradable al aire libre. Our host was amazing. Very available when we had questions. Very nice quiet and safe area. The courtyard was an amazing plus, especially since the grocery store is close by. Everything else was very easy to walk to. Loved it!

We had a great time staying in Joao's apartment. The location was excellent, very close to everything, with fantastic views. Joao provided very helpful information, both before we travelled and in the documentation in the apartment. He was also very good at checking with us to ensure that everything was ok.The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. It was also great having some outside space. I would recommend this apartment to others.

We loved staying in Joao’s Alfama apartment and highly recommend it. Our only problem was no elevator. The patio was sweet and the view from the front was beautiful. Would definitely stay there again.

João was a wonderful host. Great communications. The apartment was very clean, well appointed, and great views. The location at the top of the Alfama is perfect for exploring the narrow and winding streets of the district. It also provides easy access to the rest of the city by its close proximity to Pr. Martim Moniz and Pr. Rossio.

João was extremely helpful when some problems arose with my trip. The apartment is great, and has the most beautiful view in the city. The kitchen is well-furnished with equipment. The heat in each room was appreciated on cold and rainy nights. I would recommend.

Stunning views and warm hospitality

The apartment is clean, quaint and quiet. Views of the city are fantastic! No elevator, so keep luggage light. The host was wonderfully responsive and very gracious.

Great spot

Joao, really has a sweet spot overlooking the old town and within walking distance 5min or less of authentic Portuguese cuisine and many other cultures. The old town is quite to stay and sleep and the building is historic and brings in all the culture of Portugal. Wojld stay here again.

Lovely Apartment -Amazing area

We spent a week in Lisbon and couldn't have asked for a better spot! We didn't know that in our backyard would be St. George's castle. It was a great place.

Great apartment in an excellent location

João's apartment was excellent. All you might need for a city stay and more. Much more spacious than you might expect for a city centre location... this apartment being just below the Castle! Also for a city centre location, the area is quite quiet, the road being restricted access. A comfortable and airy apartment, clean and tidy.

What a view…

The apt is clean, nicely laid out for a short stay. Kitchen, eating area and patio all make for meals at home nice and easy. The owner is helpful and easy to reach. Many restaurants close by and everything is easily walkable… lots of up & down. And there is the view :)

Lovely apt in historic Lisbon near castelo de sao jorge and metro stations martim moniz and rossio

Lovely european apartment with outdoor terrace and view of lisbon city. Located behind castelo sao jorge on top of the hill. Stairs or incline streets to access and close walking to the metro. Host was very good communicating and instructions were clear.

April 2025 stay

Great base place to explore Lisbon’s sites. Beautiful views from the apartment. Host is responsive and gave clear access instructions. Please note, as other reviewers mentioned, the location is very hilly with numerous stairs to access the property and the apartment. Suggest using the nearby elevators as much as possible!Additionally the sewer smell inside the building was not pleasant.

Perfect location in historic area

The apartment was adequate for 3 people, with 2 bedrooms. The living room area could use another good chair other than the old bean bag chair currently there. My only complaint relates to the very loud construction going on outside all day long which the owner would have no control over, though a warning would have been appreciated.

Quirky but nice

This is a very retro style, beautifully located apartment with fabulous views in a location for people with good knees who want to explore the Alfama. It would suit fit people who can carry their bags up stairs and don’t require high spec or very up to date decor and facilities. Perfect for someone like me, who is comfy in a 70s environment. The location just below Sao Jorge, with breathtaking views makes up for it. The place was clean and Owner communicative and helpful

Our stay at Joao's place was great. Beds were nice. Plenty of space for two adults and two kids. Well stocked kitchen for preparing your meals. Washer with a clothes rack on a private terrace. Location wise, the Castelo Castle area is on a steep hill and as a result you will need to climb up and down stairs to get anywhere, but at night (because of the elevation) you get a really nice breeze that cools down the apartment. Very close to a major grocery store with most of your needs (Pingo Doce - Chão do Loureiro) and a more health centric grocery store (Celeiro). Easy access to the metro (10 min walk) down the hill to Martim Moniz station which will get you on the subway Green line.Finally, you can't beat the view from the bedroom - see for yourself!

Great location

The apartment is situated in Alfama, the oldest part of Lisboa; it features a great view. To walk there from the centre is fairly quick, yet it requires a fit person (or an affordable taxi ride or public transport), The apartment is unusually spacy and well furnished. We did not use the kitchen equipment, but it looked complete and fit. It is not the fault of the patron that there is noise from a building site on the other side of the road - this will presumably go on for a longer period of time. The only thing I disliked were the Incontinence underlays in the bed. Overall an outstanding site and a caring and responsive patron.

Basicamente el apartamento esta situado en un barrio con altura, desde las ventanas de l comedor y la habitacion tienes vistas a la ciudad, incluso algun lugar turistico. La verdad es que Joao nos dio las instrucciones muy claras y fue muy sencillo llegar y hacer el check in. El apartamento era como habia descrito en el anuncio y es un aprtamneto que esta muy bien equipado. Perfecto para ir unos dias tranquilos a lIsboa. Bravo Joao
