Periodo recientemente renovado casa en el Área de Conservación, a un corto paseo hasta el mar

Extensas renovaciones ahora están completos (julio de 2015) y esta preciosa casa de época junto al mar, Heron House, está listo para reservas de vacaciones. Nuestro lugar ofrece a sus huéspedes una ubicación céntrica en el corazón de Área de Conservación de Whitstable - sólo un salto y un salto de la playa y la calle principal. Hay un montón de espacio (2 salones, cocina / comedor, 4 dormitorios dobles y 2 baños), rincones acogedores, un pequeño jardín con terraza y una sala de jardín para disfrutar.

Heron House es perfecto para los huéspedes de todas las edades, y damos la bienvenida a las mascotas. De las parejas a grupos de la familia extendida, ofrecemos un periodo cómodo, clásico hogar fuera de casa con los beneficios de la Wi-Fi, estufa de leña, extendido cocina / comedor y aparcamiento privado para un coche.

La casa en sí es independiente y ofrece un oasis de paz entre las multitudes de fin de semana bulliciosas en el paseo marítimo y de la calle principal. Los interiores están llenos de carácter victoriano, totalmente renovado tras la reciente renovación completa, pero con un toque moderno. Hay una cocina / comedor recientemente ampliado con barra americana y dos juegos de puertas francesas que dan al patio - un gran espacio para el entretenimiento con capacidad para hasta 8 personas, además de silla alta. Hay 2 dormitorios dobles y 2 con dos camas individuales que también se pueden hacer hasta una doble habitaciones, todas con camas king size. También hay 2 baños, ambos con baños de tapa corrediza y ducha. En las noches, podrá elegir entre dos acogedores salones: el Snug es de diseño abierto a la cocina y ofrece asientos para 4, una estufa de leña AGA y TV / DVD. Al lado se encuentra el salón frontal con capacidad para 5, una chimenea y grandes TV / DVD.

En el exterior hay la plaza de aparcamiento de suma importancia para 1 coche, un pequeño jardín seguro con pequeño jardín, zona de comedor patio y acceso a la sala de jardín. Hay asientos para 8 huéspedes, mesas y sombrillas, barbacoa Weber y tumbona. La sala de jardín ofrece más espacio para relajarse con un sofá cama y un gran pelotita.

Apenas estamos abriendo las puertas a los huéspedes por primera vez este verano (julio de 2015) y estamos ofreciendo tarifas de alquiler todo incluido, que cubren todos los aspectos básicos:

- Ropa de cama, toallas y toileries
- Rollos de papel, rollos de cocina, productos de limpieza y de lavandería / equipos, velas, servilletas
- Fuentes de la cocina, que incluye: té / café / azúcar, sal / pimienta, mermelada / mermelada, aceite, hierbas, etc.
- Cuna de viaje con ropa de cama, además de silla alta y puerta de la escalera
- Estancia gratuita para un máximo de 2 maduros, perros de buen comportamiento (cuencos de agua para perros incluido)
- Barbacoa, muebles de jardín y sombrilla
- Wifi
- El uso de estufa de leña, incluyendo pequeña cantidad de troncos para el fuego (incluyendo leña y partidos)

Excellent stay

Wonderful house with every essential and loads of extras. The house was spotlessly clean and so welcoming. We had a great stay and our host Julie was exceptional.

A wonderful house with lots of high-end touches which made for a perfect stay. Communication with Julie was excellent, and she provided us with lots of helpful information. Overall we had a terrific weekend break. Highly recommended !

Super accommodation in the heart of Whitstable

We have just returned from a long weekend at Heron House. The property is situated just off the High Street, close to all the wonderful independent shops and cafes/restaurants. My husband and I took our elderly mothers for a relaxing break and the accommodation was ideal with luxurious comfortable bedrooms, lovely bathrooms and a warm and welcoming bright kitchen which was well stocked for all our needs. A small but sunny garden with easy access to own car parking space making it easy to unload. The property was beautifully decorated and all communications with the owner were friendly, informative and welcoming. Can't recommend highly enough.

Heron House, Whitstable – a Kentish gem.

The house has been expertly restored and updated with high quality fittings throughout – everything works well. The plumbing and heating are excellent and the kitchen/diner has been superbly equipped. The back garden (with resident heron) has tables and seating and a garden room. There is a parking space outside the garden gate. The house is quiet; very little traffic at night. It is very useful to have a front room and a separate ‘snug’ both with TVs so that adults and kids can watch different programs. The guide to the house was admirably comprehensive – everything you could think of. The house is very well situated - a 2 minute walk to Oxford St connecting to the High St/Harbour St. Most of the shops and restaurants are to be found along this route – the traffic is heavy during the day. The walk down Nelson Rd to the beach is about 10 minutes, and passes the Windy Corner Café (excellent breakfasts, coffee and cakes). Whitstable is a very pleasant place to stay with a very impressive range of shops and many places of interest. We had good weather which was a marvellous bonus. We only stayed from Friday evening to Monday lunchtime, and we certainly plan to return. The whole town has an atmosphere and style of its own. All the eating places we tried were good.

what a gem

our overall impression was wow have we stepped into an ideal home mag! as we entered the house stylish and spotless lots of well placed arty pieces. Whistable was lovely enjoyed the harbor young grandson the boats .fish and chips outside the anchor pub facingthe sea and a good brouse at the variety of shops and then my birthday lunch at the Sportsman inn at tankerton highly recommended all worth a visit

Wonderful luxury home in a great location!

Our last day of our amazing 7 week stay in Heron House. We are so sad to leave and can't begin to say how enjoyable our visit has been to Whitstable. Heron House itself has truly been a home from home with everything provided we could possibly need in a perfect location to sample everything that Whitstable has to offer. From the moment we booked, the lovely owner Julie was extremely friendly and bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay and provided a lovely tray full of delicious cheeses and biscuits on our arrival to welcome us. Having our two large dogs with us we fully expected to be severely limited with where we could visit but Whitstable is SO dog friendly! Our dogs went everywhere with us!! We will certainly miss our many walks along the beaches to Seasalter and Tankerton, always with lunch, a slice of cake or dinner at the end to reward us for our efforts in the huge selection of dog friendly restaurants and coffee shops. Our absolute favourites for coffee and light bites were Elliots and No.15 in Whitstable and Jo Jo's in Tankerton have the most AMAZING cakes!! Dinner choices were only slightly limited because of our two furry friends but I can definitely recommend The Marine Hotel in Tankerton, The Hotel Continental and The Pearsons Arms all of which welcomed dogs with open arms. I also can't not mention the fantastic Local pub the Coach and Horses which became our usual Friday night haunt. The barman and locals were brilliant and Flo our bulldog became a little bit of a celebrity pub dog, wandering around asking for a stroke from anybody who was willing. Our nights here normally ended with a stroll down to the local Chinese The Four Seasons, or Indian, The Star of Bengal for a takeaway both of which served delicious food. I can't say enough good things about both our wonderful accommodation and Whitstable as a town. Even in the depths of winter it didn't fail to enchant us. We loved it so much we are even considering a permanent move to the area...now if that isn't an endorsement nothing is!!

Lovely 4 bedroom house near the seaside

From start to finish our stay at Heron House was lovely. The owner Julie was very friendly and helpful throughout the booking process and afterwards returning our deposit the same day. The house itself is absolutely perfect with 4 large double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an open plan kitchen and breakfast bar with large dining table that easily seated 8 people. The recent refurbishment is excellent and everything is finished to a very high standard. There is nothing that Julie hasn't thought of in equipping the house and we enjoyed a lovely Christmas in our 4 day stay at Heron House with all mod cons. We would thoroughly recommend this property and have every intention of returning. Whitstable itself is well worth a visit and we were surprised by the varied activities that are available from the beach to shops and restaurants

We are the owners of Heron House - Julie FitzGerald and Alessandro Vitelli. We are based in London for work reasons and have grown children and two dogs. When we're not renovating and maintaining property, we love to travel! This shot was taken in Prague a few years ago.

We love spending time by the sea and have another holiday home on this site that we have rented out since 2008 - reference number 97480. This is our place in Ireland, The Artists' Cottage & Studio. It's a real privilege to have holiday homes and we like to share these wonderful old houses and coastal locations with people from all over the world.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We were first drawn to the historic seaside town of Whitstable on a tour of Kent back in 2009. We visited many coastal locations but Whitstable cast its spell over us and we found ourselves spending a lot of time here, renting beach houses and enjoying the sea and the surrounding countryside.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We ended up buying in the town and this house had everything we could hope for. It's so close to the high street and beach yet is a quiet corner with a lovely little south-facing garden and parking (a rarity so close to the sea). The house is detached so it feels very private and also allows light in from all sides at different times of day. We realised it needed a lot of work as it was somewhat neglected but we were undeterred.

Two and a half years later... here we are, all done and looking lovely with original features retained and fully restored. It has the same feel we fell in love with but will extra space in the kitchen area and the added comforts of new sash windows, a wood burner, an extra bathroom and large loft conversion. We even gave the garage a makeover and it's now a light and bright chill out area.
