Luxury apartment overlooking the River Loire, close to Château and restaurants.

With spectacular views over the River Loire, this spacious and comfortable apartment is set in the heart of the old quarter of Amboise and has a large private terrace looking out over the river towards the Ile d’Or. Huge living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 separate shower rooms and fully equipped kitchen make this the ideal holiday destination for visiting all the sights of the Loire Valley.

The location, nestling between the Château Royal and the river is hard to beat. Dine on the terrace and enjoy the magnificent sunsets over the Loire! It is just a few moments stroll to all the amenities that this beautiful town has to offer – excellent restaurants, museums, cafés and shops, as well as its renowned market.

Self-contained and independent, the apartment is situated on the second floor of a 16th century town house. Everything is prepared ready for your arrival - beds are made up, fluffy white towels and toiletries are provided and a starter pack of essential groceries is included.

The kitchen is fully equipped with large fridge-freezer, electric hob, eye-level oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. One bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room and the second with twin beds and shower room alongside. Modern fittings have been combined with the old existing features to provide a striking yet homely feel. There is free wi-fi throughout the property, along with television & DVD player.

The Royal Château, the Clos Lucé and Château Gaillard are all within easy walking distance, while the town offers the perfect base for visiting the Chateaux of the Loire and local vineyards. It's difficult to find a better base, as Amboise is perfectly situated in the very heart of the Loire Valley. The main jewels are all within easy striking distance - Château de Chenonceau, Chambord, Villandry and Chaumont are all nearby. Amboise is also on the Loire à Vélo cycle route which provides fantastic opportunities for traffic-free cycling in the area.

Excellent apartment, very spacious and clean in excellent location. Appreciated the guest binder with instructions for how to use tv, washer, check out process, and restaurant activity suggestions. One of the best places I have stayed in all my travels to Europe. The large balcony is great and it’s very charming to have an amazing chateau right behind the place as well as all the shops and eateries within a 5 minute walk. The only suggestion I would make is that more than one bath and hand towel be provided for each guest, especially where we stayed for 7 nights. Other than that, I highly recommend!

Excellent Location

Our stay was perfect. Quiet street across from Chateau Amboise which illuminated at night and was so spectacular to visit during the day. Beautiful view of the river on the patio and hot air balloons flying by on occasion. Very close to shops and dining. You will not be disappointed!!

The Perfect Location

The location could not have been better. A short walk to the center of Amboise, easy parking (we were lucky!), with a lovely view of the river Loire. Four of us appreciated the spacious living room and adjacent kitchen. Our five days were spent visiting castles, vineyards, shops, and walking around. One day, we took the train to Tours for a day of sightseeing and a change of pace. Setting up our rental was easy, thanks to efficient communication with the owner. We can't thank you enough for our first visit to the Loire Valley.

Beautiful apartment, great location

Communication with Steven was excellent. There was a delicious bottle of Vouvray sparkling wine waiting for us, and things got better from there. The apartment has everything you need and is just steps away from Amboise chateau, restaurants and shops. There are 2 things you might want to be aware of - and Steven points this out - no elevator, and parking can be an issue. We never had to park farther away than the post office in 6 days. We really enjoyed wine and crackers on the terrace!

Brilliant Apartment central to Amboise with wonderful views over the Loire.

The apartment was both practical and well equipped and at the same time had some interesting and quirky character pieces. It was extremely comfortable. Steven is an excellent host and when we had a small issue he fixed it immediately. Would recommend as a base for touring the Loire Valley and the local Caves, as recommended by Steven :). Parking is very easy literally across the road from the apartment and free. Very relaxing stay and would highly recommend.

FANTASTIC STAY - AMAZING APARTMENT!

Far exceeded our expectations! Everything was wonderful from kitchen, bathroom, shower, balcony, living area, to having a washing machine! Very modern, but had very French feeing. The location was PERFECT! We could sit on the balcony and enjoy views of the river & old bridge as well as easy access to the quaint old town and all its amenities. The Amboise castle was just outside the front door! The hosts Veronica & Steve were very responsive to any issues (small issue with washer which they promptly fixed) and very kind. We have been in France for 5 weeks and this is far & away our favorite stay! It is a very price worthy and a great location to see sights in the Loire. Stay 4-5 days and soak in the ambiance of the city & area!!!

Perfect in every way

The apartment was excellently appointed, the hosts were extremely helpful and the location was perfect for walking to the chateaux, restaurants and river walks. The sunset over the Loire was amazing. There is free parking opposite the apartment. One of our best VRBO stays.

Gorgeous place, both modern and old world. Right in the middle of all the action and the Amboise Chateau right behind us. Lovely city centre, charming and full of lovely restaurants. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen - we loved our stay here. Memories forever!

Fabulous location

This apartment was perfect. The location couldn’t be better, close to all the shops and restaurants and overlooking the Loire. The lay out was perfect for a family of four and the apartment was spotless. Would rent again in a heart beat.

To really appreciate the unique atmosphere of Amboise it is important to be located close to the vibrant centre of town. There is so much to see and do on foot and Côté Loire is within easy walking distance of all the main sites. No worries about driving anywhere in the evening, just take a short stroll into town and experience some great restaurants and taste the excellent Loire food & wine.
