Reviewer Comments: In a previous survey that I did I mentioned the following issues...mold in the shower/bathroom that serves the Master Bedroom, lack of spoons & no spatula; the electric can opener did not work; it would be nice if there were screens on the sliding glass doors that would have been good; the TV Internet system was very frustrating because it kept going on & off; the Benchmark Mtce Man came over 2x to help us understand how it worked and how to re-boot it; Benchmark was very responsive every time that we called and needed assistance.

The repair just kept getting pushed further out. They tried to give us no incentive to book with benchmark again. So we will never book with them again. Every communication up until that point was amazing. Very sad that when it comes to getting things done the company falls short.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at different condos at San Remo for four years now. Mostly very positive experiences over the years. This year was terrible. We received a text from the management company, Benchmark, the week before we arrived stating the HOA lost the lease to the private beach and there also would be no beach chair service (included when we booked the condo). Benchmark did nothing to accommodate us for the loss of the private beach as was stated when we signed the contract or for the cost of chairs/umbrella service we had to pay out of pocket for. We will not be using Benchmark or renting at San Remo ever again. We will not recommend anyone stay at San Remo as you now have to utilize the public beach.

San Remos is showing it's age. Not worth the high price.

Reviewer Comments: I wouldn't say we would never stay on this property again, but before I did I would make sure the unit had been sprayed for roaches just before my stay. We had several sightings of roaches while we were there and unfortunately brought some home in our luggage. I know this is not uncommon in this setting, but just an example that they need to spray more often. Also, if you choose to rent your beach chairs through Vacayzen the company that provides a rental credit, your chairs are going to be at the end of the adjoining property and right at the Spooky Lane beach access so people are literally on top of you when you could be set up right in front of San Remos with plenty of room. Overall a decent place, but definitely not superb.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at San Remo twice. The location is great! Easy access to the pool and beach. The beach is very calm and not very crowded. Double check your rental agreement. Ours indicated that 2 complimentary beach chairs and 1 umbrella service was provided. When we went on the first day to the beach and checked in with the guy he said our unit did not include the complimentary setup and that the setup would be $40 a day. I showed him in the app for our rental that it says it is included but I had to contact Benchmark about it. When I called them they could see where they had it listed as included and they were going to reach out to the property manager. Since we didn’t have chairs with us we went back to the pool. After two hours I called them back. They had no update and so I waited for them to get a hold of the manager. When they did call me back I was told that the chairs are not included with the unit and that they missed updating that on their site and that I would need to reserve them. I said no that is your mistake and you need to take care of reserving them. I had to text a screen shot of what their own app said to show what it says (which they had already read to me on the phone so that was confusing). The response was thank you we will update this with the correct information. This was unacceptable. You listed a service that you are now not going to provide. After about 6 hours, I was told that they reserved chairs for us starting the next day - so we lost a day at the beach and I still feel that no one really acknowledged how poorly it was handled. When I called the first time early in the morning and said that they are telling us we don’t have the service and you see that we are supposed to - I don’t care that you had the wrong information just call the chair company and get the chairs added right away and fix your publishing problem later. It is called customer service. I should not have had to argue for 6 hours Bench

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, this was a great trip and the condo is nice. It was very convenient to the beach and pool is right there. The condo itself is nice, basic rental type amenities. The master bed, the king, is horrible. It had a major sag in the mattress and every time you move in the bed the headboard bangs against the wall. I woke up most mornings with a sore back. The other beds aren't quite as bad, but all are in need or replacement. The one bedroom with bunkbeds is basically a large closet with a curtain across the doorway, no door. The kitchen was not bad, the cookware is horrible. Two of the three stovetop pans were warped horribly, was almost impossible to use. We cooked in the condo about half of our dinners, definitely made it challenging. I would recommend bringing your own cookware if possible. The large covered patio was great, nice chairs and plenty of space. We had a couple issues with towel racks and entry door not working, but management company addressed immediately upon calling. Overall, not a bad place, but the beds are definitely an issue.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: San Remo was great and exactly what we were looking for- easy and fun for kids. The unit needed some updating- The shower caddy was rusty in the shower, things such as sparse cutlery and the beds were extremely uncomfortable- they ultimately led us to leaving a night early. The unit however was cleaned very well- they did a great job! We will definitely visit San Remo again but will not be coming back to this unit until there are some updates.

Everything you need is a short distance away and very convenient to the condo. The unit itself is serviceable but in need of some updates. The master bed appears to be broken and is very uncomfortable. We had an issue with mold coming out of the hallway bath that needs to be cleaned. And in general the unit needs to be repaired/painted/cleaned throughout. Overall we really enjoyed our week and had great communication from Benchmark from start to finish.

Reviewer Comments: Let’s start with the good...Sam Remo is a great location and has a wonderful pool and hot tub area, with a nice private access to the beach. Also, Benchmark was very responsive when I contacted them when the all the fire alarms went off at 4:00 AM and sent maintenance over the next day. What impacted our visit the most was the condo unit. While it does need some updates and appears worn down i some areas (paint peeling from cabinets, VCR/dvd player that doesn’t work, etc), my biggest complaint are the beds. The bed in the master bedroom is the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on. The mattress is clearly worn out with a big dip in the middle, where a big piece of foam has been added to one side to mitigate the didn’t work. Also, the bed frame is incredibly loud and squeaky when you move at all during the night. I did call Benchmark about the poor quality of the mattress and they were willing to bring more foam out, but that’s all they could do. For what I paid to rent this unit, I expect more out of the bed, especially in the master bedroom. Because of this, I would never stay in 208 again.

Powder white sand and Turquoise water!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great week at San Remo. Great proximity to the beach and a short walk to some great restaurants and shops. Our favorite things were the spacious balcony, beach chair and umbrella set up daily and bike trail right outside the complex. We enjoyed being on the second floor as we were able to use the stairs frequently instead of the elevator to get to the pool, hot tub and beach. Kitchen had everything we need for light cooking. The only negative for our family was the beds. They were very uncomfortable. The master bed was very lumpy, obvious sagging, had deep body impressions and overall just needed to be changed. Unit also needs a few updates but clean upon arrival. Besides needing new beds it’s a great unit with a great location on a quiet uncrowned beach!

The view was perfect, getting to the beach was effortless, and the easy walk to Sunrise Coffee shop was the icing on the cake. The condo was very comfortable and, besides some candy wrappers under the couch, clean. The beds were relatively comfortable, kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies, dishes, and serving utensils. The second bath was spacious and the master bath had 2 showers. However, the vanity in the master bath is small and designed for 1. A convenient treat was having two beach chairs and an umbrella set up for us on the private beach! Would definitely rent this unit again!

Great stay!!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The entire property is very nice, clean and well-maintained; loved the big balcony of our unit. There was plenty of room in the unit for the 6 of us staying there. Only con was the code for the gate to go to the beach was not included in my instructions; I called The Benchmark office the day after arriving to get it.

Second stay at San Remo ... first time was better!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Roach in the guest bathroom as soon as we entered the condo. The balcony door refused to open from the master bedroom. Beach access code was incorrect. We had chosen to walk the beach home after dinner & had never got a code. A teenager came out & let us in after 11 p.m. Finally received the code the following morning. We were across from the trash chute - flies in the condo upon arrival & pungent smell over the weekend. And trash was piled around the chute.
