Wonderful

Wonderful property in a great location. Just a short walk to the beach. Clean and well located in a quiet neighborhood. Will definitely stay again next time I am in town.

The property was close to family with a home at Pine Knoll Shores. Beach access was convenient as well as restaurants and grocery stores. The indoor space worked for our group of 5. It would have been nice with more substantial outdoor seating and an umbrella because the deck was quite sunny. The place was clean but there was a significant pest issue. I understand that can be common at the beach. Definitely would recommend staying on top of it with routine pest control. Other than that, the place was comfortable and met our needs.

A sweet cottage near the beach

We found this sweet cottage home across the main road from the beach. The beds are comfortable and bedrooms and bathrooms are nice and updated. The kitchen is not equipped for cooking and needs updated items such as; cookware/serving/storage/etc. The inside of the cabinets were not neat nor clean. Not a big deal if you are eating out. Ziplock bags saved the day.The walk to the beach is 7 minutes at a normal pace by walking a few houses on the main road to a side street leading to the beach access (1 long block). There was not a pull cart available, we managed just fine (2 adults).The beach is not crowded at the neighborhood access, very nice.Overall, it was a lovely stay and a great location.

Our Favorite Family Getaway

We’ve been coming to our friend’s house for the last 3 years with our family, and every time has been wonderful thanks to the comfort and amazing location of this home. Peaceful and Quiet

Home is beautiful and just as described. Would definitely stay there again, very peaceful and quiet. Little bit of a walk to beach access but well worth the walk. At night can sit on front deck and listen to the ocean waves roll in. Couple miles from food store and shopping plaza which was very convenient. Thank You for sharing your home with my family.

Weekend Wedding

Great house for my family to stay for our relatives wedding weekend in Atlantic Beach and Emerald Isle events. Patty and Jeff have a great place and it felt just like home.

Failure in execution

We arrived at 6:30pm to a property that had not been cleaned and was not terribly dirty but clearly with recent guests. We called the property manager and someone was out to clean within 2.5 hours. It didn’t quite make for a very smooth check-in and both VrBO and the owner said we would be compensated for the delay but then no refunds were ever issued. So it was a failure in execution twice.

Great house for family vacation

The house was great for a family vacation. The number of DVDs was impressive and we enjoyed hanging out in the evenings. Ten minute easy walk to beach. Lovely that it was a community beach and not crowded. Would stay here again.

Cozy cottage by the coast

Our stay was great! Within walking distance if a public beach access point with cross walk, if you don’t mind about a mile walk. Having never rented before, I wish I had looked around the house and property when we got there, just so I knew where everything was. My only wish was that the house rules were visible upon entry - they were hidden under some magazines. I would definitely rent this property again!!

It’s a very nice place close to the beach

I’ll be honest, treating it like a hotel rental I did not do my due dilligence and contact the owner for the check in information before I left for the trip, luckily the neighbor has the contact information and I was able to reach the owner and get inside the property. For what it is the place offers you a lot. There is a DVD player and movies for you to watch at night. Personal parking is nice. They have towels laid out for you. There’s plenty of things for you that if you went and got your own food you could have a comfortable and convenient stay if you didn’t want to eat out. The place was clean and the bed were comfortable. I disliked the plumbing job on the toilet in the side set of bedrooms, but other wise the place was great. My family loved it and would love to stay again.

Perfect family home. The convenient location allowed us to take advantage of the different excursions in the area. The shady yard gave everyone a respite from the sun. The beach cart came in handy for family beach trips.

Just perfect!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! I had 2 elderly family members with me, and it was very easy for them to get around in the house! The decor was beautiful! We loved sitting outside. I have nothing bad to say about the home! The beach access is a little walk but nothing crazy. There weren't a lot of people there which was nice, and they even have a water spout to clean off in the yard before going back inside. The house is so close to everything. We look forward to going back again!

Amazing location!

It was so easy to walk to the beach and the busy road never bothered us. They were very nice when we had questions during our stay. I definitely want to come back at some point!

It’s walking distance to beach. It is the Second road from beach and maybe 1000 feet away. You can walk or (drive and park). There are several public parking areas close by.
