Good value

I read the reviews and while I agree the condo is dated, the value was very good. It was clean, in a very nice area and spacious. I’d stay there again.

Would love to stay again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’d like to start off with thanking North Beach vacations for NOT having those stupid “service fees” or “processing fees” you find out about when you are checking in. I was in and out within 90 seconds with 2 sets of keys, parking passes and a smile on my face. My first impressions of the room was clean and very nice. All the furniture was in good condition, and the decor was nice. There is a tv in the living room and master bedroom, I suggest you bring a device (fire stick, Roku etc) if you plan on watching tv. The WiFi worked with no issues. All the bathrooms were very nice, the beds were comfortable. I really like the mirrors in the living room and kitchen it’s a really nice touch. If I had to find a con I’d say the water could be a little hotter in the shower. Other than that I can’t complain.

Overall good, but roaches

Overall it was a good stay with family, but there were roaches in the unit that we didn’t discover until the last day.

Would stay again

Positives: Great location. Spacious common areas and bedrooms. All appliances worked as expected.. Negatives: Parking is extremely limited at the condo, we ended up in the overflow parking more often than not.. (To be fair, we were there on a holiday week). Mid-week the pool water temp became more like a hot tub and never cooled down. Overall, the place is obviously older and could use some cosmetic updates and a deep clean, however it was what we expected at the price point and we would stay again.

The information said, one roll paper towels there were none, small bottle dish soap and dishwasher tablets there were none. There was toilet paper. One bathroom cabinet door is broke also towel hanger tore off wall.. The beds and all very comfortable. Just needs some repairs. Wasn’t real clean either

Average condo

We enjoyed our stay & the location, but the condo was average & could use some updates. The furniture/carpet in the living room appeared old. More importantly, the air conditioning & venting were not adequate. The condo always felt damp & it took a long time for swimsuits & towels to dry. Also, the temperature in the unit never got cooler than 72 degrees, even though we did not lower the thermostat below the recommended temperature. Nice beach access and pool. Would not rent this unit again due to these concerns.

Could be better

I’m really not one to complain, but I feel like this place could be better if a little more effort and care was put into it. My first complaint is the couch. It smells so bad. I would not be surprised if the cushion covers haven’t been cleaned in years. The master shower had no water pressure. The air in the condo was so moist that everything (clothes and self) felt wet all the time. My children caught the stomach virus from the pool. I don’t think anyone cleaned it out once or put chemicals in the whole week we were there. The location is great though and we never saw a cockroach like in some of the other reviews. If I were booking a room again, I would look elsewhere but if you have no other options, it will do.

disappointing

Outside grounds are beautiful, ocean view wonderful, inside condo at Summit Unit lB was disgusting. Living room furniture had sagging cushions. Walls and carpet dirty. Toilet in Master Suite did not flush properly. Cockroaches found in two bathrooms. Coffee pot was dirty, caraffe dirty and stained. North Myrtle Beach Realty did not give me passcode to get into building upon arrival and one key missing on keyring. Complaint to Victoria was waste of breath. Shall not use them again. Security surrounding outer grounds of Summit Resort was zero. No signs posted on gate to pool that it was private property and witnessed people coming in from the street using the pool. Not good.....

Owner needs to do an overhaul of their condo

This condo is in need of serious work. The carpet is so dingy the tops of my granddaughters were black from crawling on it. The kitchen island had a cardboard shoved under it like someone tried to stop it from not being loose but it was and it made a nervous that it would tip right over. All the bathroom fans sound like jet engines on their last legs. Both sliding glass doors are messed up to the point you can hardly open them. The amount of money and fees I paid I deserved a much better place a place where the owners care. On our arrival the AC was not cooling and we had to buy fans for all the rooms, the filter was so thick and worn and no replacement just another old one beside it. I called the after hours number for the management company and they did send someone out the following day and got it all fixed and the gentlemen was very nice. I think the management company needs to make this owner do some repairs and upgrades (tv’s in all rooms) remove carpet and put vinyl floors or something. Again the fees and cost to have paid to get this place saddens me. We stay in NMB every summer and this is the worst place so far and I wouldn’t stay again.

First time, last time

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The appliances are very dated. The stove only works on high . The fridge wouldn’t close all the way. There was very few pots and pans. The place needed a very thorough cleaning! Dust on the glass shelves and dishes on them. The ac didn’t work and had to be replaced during our stay! Was told they would move us to another unit. We packed up our bags and waited for a call to tell us where we were going and instead of moving us they brought portable units and put in two bedrooms and one in the living room. They had to use the sliding glass door to vent it and leaving it unusable so everyone had to go through our bedroom to get to the balcony! The inconvenience was awful! Wasn’t able to use the kitchen for two days while the unit was being installed. We had to go out and eat, wasn’t planning on it. We bought groceries to cook in our kitchen. The portable units were not picked up until Thursday. Once the work started on the ac we saw roaches. No it wasn’t a great vacation! Strangers in & out of place for 4days. Was never really able to relax and enjoy it!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: In all honesty, this place was disgusting. Paid a separate cleaning fee [over $200] and my Wife and spent 2.5 hrs cleaning this place prior to settling in...up to and including re-washing all the bedding [including bed addition to re-cleaning the fridge. We also had an issue with the deadbolt as the key would work at all. Spent 3 hours locked out of unit in 90 degree heat with $300 of perishable food in the shopping cart.Thankfully, the peolple next door to us allowed us the use of their fridge until we were able to contact our son who had the other key. The maintenance person showed zero empathy as he did not like my tone [yes I was very frustrated] and thus never showed up to help. Left phone message to property manager, but never even got a call back. So not worth the $2400 for the week. What a dump. Be warned !

The WiFi was not working had to have the contractor come in to fix. Our stay was during tropical storm Debby lots of wind and rain, sliding glass door leaked water under the door as it was not sealed soaking the carpet the width of the door 2 feet into living room. Power lost to living room due to water in the wall outlet. Another call to the handyman, who did a great job fixing the problem. Cookware and utensils in very rough shape had to purchase some to cook. The unit has potential, the owner just needs to start putting some money into upgrades. The island in the kitchen is falling apart. All things considered I would give this unit 2 stars mostly due to the cost and location.

It was clean and comfortable. Beautiful sweeping views of the beach and ocean. Wonderful outdoor balcony with lots of room. It would have been nice to have had an extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom and paper towels for kitchen. It would have been nice to have had a box of tissues in bathroom to remove makeup. The only negative was my wife not feeling well and lying down in bed. Loud knocking noise was heard. She thought someone had forgot their room key. Upon getting up to check there was a man on a ladder using a hammer. He said a woman let him in. It was not one of our party. It would have been nice to have been notified of an upcoming maintenance project. It was unsettling to get up and find a stranger in our room.

The Summit

Good location for quiet, away from the hustle of the main drag.....the cleaning left a bit to be desired....the furnace filter was filthy, we replaced it when we got there; it was quite dusty; the coffee maker was filthy, we replaced that as well; there were piles of food crumbs under the movable kitchen island (we found by accident); etc.. However, these were minor annoyances and we very much enjoyed our vacation.....

Becareful of pictures on line.

Fun time but extremely disappointed with condition of condominium. Interior was old and outdated. Patchwork in living room ceiling looked recent and incomplete. Didn't look like the repair was even painted over. Refrigerator had rust spots on door. 1 bathroom had cracks in a number of places olong baseboards and lower walls. Would absolutely NOT recommend this particular condo.

Convenient oceanfront location

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was just a perfect accommodation for with accessible elevators, close location to the pool and direct exit to the beach. Also, some items in apartment could use an update, furnishing and overall interior, especially some beautiful arts in bedrooms, were done tastefully. Good place for a big family vacation.

The Slummit instead of The Summit

Property does not look like the pictures the house is full of disgusting mold, was dirty, rusty and totally rundown .

Not the cleanest, not updated in 40 years

In summary, we spent part of our time the first day cleaning the unit. There were clothes in a drawer from the previous tenants, surfaces were grimey, and overall the unit looks like the owner doesn’t care. The couch has stains, the walls have stains, and the showers/tubs have mold. If you are looking for a place to sleep and don’t care about the state of the condo, this will be great! Plenty of room - we had 4 adults and 2 kids and never felt crowded. 3 full bathrooms was nice. Check in was wild. You have to go to the check-in location and stand in line for 30 minutes with everyone else checking in on Saturday afternoon, having driven however long. Weirdest/grossest rental I’ve ever found on VRBO by far.

Lots of good emails prior to visit, very spacious condo, no problems within the condo, could have been a little cleaner, but overall good. A few items need to be fixed, just wear and tear, did not affect our stay. Would stay there again. Had a wonderful week! Great location, close to everything
