Beautiful log home on the best part of Indian Lake.
Sunsets to warm your heart! The photos are of actual views from the home.

Whether you just want to get away from it all and watch some of the most beautiful sunsets, or get out and see the UP, this is the location for you. Most of the UP is just a day trip from Manistique making this an ideal spot for your base. Take in the Soo Locks one day, then spend the next lounging on the beach and catching perch from the canoe just a short paddle from the dock. Take in the crowds of Mackinac Island one day, then spend the next hiking the trails all by yourself in the beauty that can only be found in the UP.

No matter what you want to do, you will be able to do it comfortably from Sunset Beach! Snowmobile from your front door, and return to store your sled indoors, build a fire, and tell stories while planning the next days fun!

Quiet location with almost 200 feet of frontage with your own private swimming beach!
The lake at this location has a sandy bottom that gradually deepens.
There is a weed bed within paddling distance of the dock where you can catch your perch dinner. Suggestions for fishing the lake for Walleye, perch, trout, sturgeon, muskie, or pike can be made available for renters.

July and August rentals are 7 night minimum with check in and check out on Saturday.

Location is ideal for a relaxing upper peninsula vacation. The home is spacious and welcoming. The sunsets over the lake are beautiful. Highly recommend this property.

Great location! Overall things were good. I would only recommend putting a fan in the bathroom and getting a skillet for cooking on. We would definitely book at this place again.

We had a fabulous stay at Sunset Beach. Roger was incredibly easy to get in touch with and provided valuable tips on what to do, where to eat, and where to shop. The property is extremely well-kept, and everything you would need is provided. From cutlery to pans, towels to sheets. The house is comfortable and close to many things in the UP. We visited Pictured Rocks and Fayette County Historical State Park while we were there. Tons of yard games, kayaks, canoe, boats, fishing gear, etc. was available to use. It is close enough to Manistique that if you forgot something, it's a quick drive. At the same time, it's nestled into the trees so you feel like you are all alone. It was great. One note.....we never saw a single bug inside the house that we didn't let in. And if you know anything about the UP, there are lots of bugs. That's just another testemant to how care for the property is. Really really nice place. If we return to the UP, we will stay here for sure!!

Great family vacation spot!

Perfect spot for family. Beach area with swimming was a hit with our grands. They have asked to return. House well stocked with paper products and laundry supplies which came in very handy. Owner was very responsive

Comfortable with a view

We rented this house for 5 weeks while my husband was in town doing a job. He stayed from late April thru late May. The house was comfortable and had everything needed to live comfortably as if the house were his own. He was able to enjoy the lake from the selection of smallcraft boats on hand. The house is on a very quiet, private road. The way the property is situated, it feels like you don't even have neighbors. It's also only a 5 minute drive to town, a 3 minute drive to the state park and hiking trails. Roger was wonderful to rent from. He was very timely with answering questions, extremely polite, and kind. We would definitely rent this place again!

Peaceful and Beautiful

My husband and I enjoyed the beauty and privacy of this gorgeous cabin. The view was breathtaking and we had everything we needed. Taking the kayak out on the lake to watch the sunset was spectacular. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!!!

Beautiful

The name sunset beach says it all. What amazing sunsets at this house. If your looking for a beautiful house for a family vaction do not hesitate to book this house. There are so many fun things to do here. Kayaking, paddle boating, canoeing, swimming, fishing, cornhole, and roasting marshmallows before turning in. Also the loaction is great for checking out destinations like big springs, pictured rocks, lake michigan, escanaba, also we drove up to black rocks and jumped off cliffs into lake superior. Roger is a super host and a very nice person, he is very responsive. You can tell he takes great pride in making sure his guest have a good time and feel at home. Again dont hesitate to book this home.

Great Stay

We very much enjoyed our stay on Indian Lake. The cabin is clean with all the modern amenities a family needs (ac, laundry room). Even though it is in a neighborhood, the lot is much more private than we expected. We loved that the front room looked out at the lake and there was a private beach that my kids thoroughly enjoyed.

Just What We Were Looking For!

The shallow lake was ideal for wading in, though got rough when it was windy. The property was well kept, beautiful and secluded due to the trees on either side. We made use of the rowboat and dock but didn't get a chance to use the kayaks or canoe. There was a hornet issue that Roger took care of right away, so no problem really. We enjoyed our stay and would return without question!

Beautiful property!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The sunsets on the lake were amazing and we loved using the kayaks and canoe to spend time on the lake. We also rented another house in the area and enjoyed family dinners for all of us at this location.

Amazing Place to Stay

this cottage was absolutely wonderful. The cabin itself was clean, had allmthe basic needs, and having a washer and dryer made everything so much easier, especially the unpacking at home. located so that many great places to visit are with an hours ride, it also is a great base location for exploring many different things. Roger is easy to reach and will take.care of any thing that comes up, although we had no need for that. we were in the water almost every day and did not have any issues with swimmers itch. I loved this place and plan and staying here again!

Amazing fourth of july getaway

This property was absolutely amazing! Everything we could ask for and more. The location was great to so many things we wanted to do. We had a fire every single night. Having the firewood provided and ready was on of the best parts! Roger gave us great advice on where to sit for fireworks in manistique and it couldn't of worked out better! In his welcome book he has he also suggested the upper crust deli that I initially just dismissed and we tried at and it was so delicious! The lake house has everything we needed and more. Huge bonus....could not believe the privacy of this lake house! Loved every minute and can't wait until we can rent it again!
