`July Pippin` cottage is one of three vacation rentals on Five Apple Farm. This newly constructed cottage offers mountain chic comfort, in a family farm setting.

Snuggle up next to a coxy fireplace and enjoy quality time and home-cooked meals in the well-appointed kitchen. Adventure during the day to your heart’s content knowing that plenty of comfy beds and a full-size washer and dryer await your return. July Pippin sleeps six, including a master with king bed and full bathroom upstairs as well as loft with two twin beds, and a bedroom downstairs with two twin beds and a full bath.

Our serene mountain cove location at the base of Shortoff Mountain offers a peaceful getaway with apple trees, a lush pasture, and picturesque grounds to explore on our walking trail or just to take in while enjoying the glow of the fire pit. Tucked away just a short walk from area hiking trails and minutes from breathtaking views and local attractions in Highlands and Cashiers, Five Apple Farm offers the perfect mix of relaxation, quality time, fun and adventure.

Our Escape

This place was unbelievable! There was not a stone (literally and figuratively) left unturned. The stone details throughout the property were just amazing ! Every detail was attended to, even the cabin being warm upon our arrival. We had plenty of dishes, linens, etc. We built several roaring fires in our fireplace and one at the fire pit until the rain came. We utilized the grill for a delicious dinner our last night. The proximity to “town” was perfect. We typically take a trip to Florida yearly at this time, but we opted to do something different and were not disappointed. We’re already planning for our next year at Five Apple Farm!

Peace in the woods

Wonderful cottage in the woids. This is is the second time we stayed at this property. We loved being 10 minutes from Highlands. The cottage has a large covered balcony which looks over a fire pit that we frequented every day. Very peaceful stay.

3rd Trip to 5 Apple Farm and Highlands

This was our 3rd year staying at 5 Apple Farms and it was a very special week for my boyfriend's 50th, so we rented all 3 cabins and had friends join us this year. It was truly memorable the evenings outside at the firepit, grilling out and playing games. We went rafting and waterfall chasing and spent the rainy day in Franklin shopping and enjoying the nearby breweries. One of the most beautiful hikes in the area is right by 5 Apple - Whitwside Mountain is a can't miss. This is our annual summer trip to beat the Florida heat and we will return next year!

Peaceful retreat

This is our second time at One if the cottages at Five Apple and already planning another trip. Well appointed, comfortable and is great for family get togethers. The porches have comfortable furniture and sitting out there with coffee each am is so relaxing. Beautiful property.

Great property for our family

Great location close to town, but we still felt like we were in the middle of the forest on this beautiful property. The owners were great! Very attentive and accommodating. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Our kids really enjoyed the big outdoor firepit and the bocce pit. Thanks, Gary and Angie, for a great stay!

2nd trip to 5 Apple Farm

This was our 2nd stay at this wonderful property, we loved it just as much as our 1st trip last year! I wrote a detailed review last year and can say a year later everything is still 5 stars. In fact we had 2 days of bad weather but weren't disappointed since we were able to cozy up in this comfortable modern farmhouse! We love the proximity to both Highlands and Cashier's and all the wonderful hiking right near by. Communication with the property owner/manager is always smooth. Thank you!

Fairytale Cabin in the Woods

Where to begin. This was a fantastic VRBO. My husband, myself, and our 17 month old son stayed here for the week. The location is just fabulous. the cabins are so tucked away in the woods yet only 10 minutes from all the hustle and bustle of Main Street. Our toddler absolutely loved all the boulders and steps to climb around on, and there is a fantastic hiking trail accessible via the farm. The cabin itself was very clean and well stocked. Fabulous porch to relax on, and we loved the fireplace inside the cabin as well as fire pit in the center of the cabins outside. 10/10 would recommend and come again.

Peaceful mountain retreat

This relatively new cottage (in a grouping of 3 pretty much identical cottages on a slope facing each other overlooking a gathering place with a fire pit) sits near a bubbling mountain stream, not far from Highlands. The event barn is nearby; though no events took place there during our stay; quite peaceful. Saw some wild turkeys hanging out nearby. Scenic views, modern, clean, inviting. No complaints. The setting is perfect for an extended family reunion or similar group event.

July Pippin stay

Although the property is well appointed, and adorably decorated, there were still some issues. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. I wasn't expecting a Tempur-pedic, but I expected a bed at the quality of a basic Marriott. There is also a mouse/rodent issue on the patio - there were droppings on the table every morning. I understand that this is difficult to control given the location, but perhaps screening the porches would help. Finally, the kitchen was well appointed, but oven mitts would be helpful, as well as more basic plastic food storage.

Lovely cottage and beautiful setting.

Our family occupied all 3 cottages that face one another. It is a beautiful, quiet setting with no close neighbors. We were able to be together and each have our own space. Enjoyed bocce and s’mores in the fire pit. The house was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed.

Five Apple Farm is a special place. A 2400 square foot gathering barn, known as "Big Nonesuch" and four beautiful cottages provide for a wonderful place to rest, reflect or enjoy many forms of recreation.

Five Apple Farm is proud of our efforts to be eco-conscience and good stewards of the land. The white pine trees that were removed for the cottage construction on this beautiful property were milled here on site and used in many aspects of the construction process.
