Enjoy your South Padre Island vacation in style at this private three-level South Padre Island townhome with a spacious backyard and private pool, yet only about a 1/4 block from the beach.

The second level of this townhome features a spacious living area, a quality kitchen, and a dining area that leads out to a large patio that is perfect for dining al fresco! An open staircase takes you upstairs to the third level where there are two suites that feature large private baths, built in cabinetry, and walk-in closets. One of the suites opens to a large private sun deck that spans the width of the house. The other suite has a queen bed and a murphy bed that folds down to another comfy queen bed. This suite also features a separate work space for those who must stay in touch with the office while on vacation. A third private bedroom on the ground floor opens to the beautifully landscaped backyard and pool.

Outside, a shaded patio overlooks the spacious fenced-in backyard complete with a tropical pool and hot tub - perfect for your family to enjoy! Other amenities include a utility closet with a washer/dryer and a half bath on the second level perfect for daytime living.

Villa del Mar is a very short walk to the beach and also within walking distance to several island restaurants and entertainment. But for those who wish to dine in, the quality kitchen is spacious and fully equipped for the chef to entertain and enjoy!

The check in was quick and easy. The entire house was amazing. There was an issue with the downstairs bathroom. The repair men arrived less than a hour after speaking with the after hour guest services representative. Overall our stay was wonderful and memorable.

Property management was excellent but we had major issues checking in as garage code and clicker did not work (and they could not get it fixed during our stay). The AC went out as it’s an old building and we had a miserable night. It was fixed the next day - we just had to deal with a lot issues while on vacation. This is why I’m rating the listing as such.

Spring break

I was nervous to book a spring break with my younger kids to SPI but we had the best time. It wasn’t super busy either. Padre Getaways was the best to work with! Would do it over it a heartbeat!

Summer get away

Property was as described, close to the beach, and very clean. House accommodates sitting for 10 people in the living room, dinning table, and at the pool. I enjoyed my stay there. I could have done without picking up and dropping off the key at the office.

Pool was a LifeSaver!

The house was perfect for our family. My oldest loved having her own 'personal area' on the bottom floor, which had its own access to the pool area. We only wanted to go to the beach for a couple days of the trip (girls weren't too excited to go back out after the freak shark attacks) so the pool was perfect for the girls; They spent hours playing out there. We had a nice breeze every day under the patio which, in combination with the awesome water fountain, made for the perfect place to relax and read a book.

Great Pool and Amazing Location

The house was very spacuous and had everything we needed. The location was so close to multiple beach acceses so it was so convenient to walk down with all our sruff. The pool and hot tub were sparkling clean and we had so much fun. I would definitely stay again in the future!

Great Place!

We had such a great time! There were wonderful beach toys, a wagon to carry them, and beach chairs. The beach was a short walk from the house, and everything was lovely! The hot tub was so nice!

Beach trip

Beach was close (walking distance) which was convenient. Everyone had their own space. Cookware, dishes, coffee maker, and lots of other little extras in the kitchen. Owner had beach toys for kids, bikes and a wagon for our use. Only negative was no internet and TV during our stay.

Great location but unresponsive property management

The location was great, it was a quick walk to the beach, the pool was small but just right for our family that included a 7 & 3 year olds. The outdoor space overall was very nice. The problems were with the check in process, appliances & the AC made worse by the lack of responsiveness and timely communications by the property managers, Padre Getaways on South Padre Island, TX. Every vacation rental we’ve stayed at in the past 5+years,was accessed by a coded key pad or lock boxes but t we had to pick up 2 sets of key from Padre Getaways. With just 2 keys, limited the ease with which family member come & go during our visit. The water/ice dispensers in the refrigerator and the filtered water faucet at the sink stopped working the same day & neither were fixed before we left. I was told since it was beach property, things get clogged?? so the property manager or the property owner won’t fix the fridge’s ice or water dispensers if they break??? They sent someone to look at the broken filtered water faucet, he couldn’t fix it but nothing was done.The last 4 days we bought water & ice and no offer from PG to cover those costs! Check in was 3p,we got there after 6p but the cleaning crew were not done because they were delayed due to problems with the AC. That continued throughout our stay with some days the inside temps at 82+ degrees. An AC tech was sent, things improved but the AC never ran well. Avoid renting vacation property managed by Padre Getaways on South Padre Island!

Great place, close to the beach.

This worked out great for our family of 4! All amenities were as described and it was a short easy walk to the beach. The only 2 things I can think of that could have been better were the hot tub heating situation (probably no way to change this) but you need to plan your hot tub time ahead so you can get the water hot. And we wanted to take the bikes for a ride, so I put air in the tires and one bike was flat by the next morning. Otherwise, great place to stay. Thanks!

Annual vacation with friends

Had a fantastic stay. At this lovely rental. Very close to beach and area was clean. The house was perfect for our three couples. Each had their own bedroom and bath plus there was a half bath with the washer and dryer. We had no problem getting our keys but coming from Austin we were hoping to get there in time and we did. Would stay here again. Would suggest a golf cart rental to travel the island. Paula from Wisconsin

Didn’t get to go

Unfortunately we didn’t get to go because of the Southwest issues. We didn’t get our money back from anyone despite us having no other options than to cancel the day off since we had no warning our plane was going to be cancelled. I do know the whole process of working with Padre Getaways was not super convenient . We had to give every detail of our trip along with a limited time to pick up keys. Extremely sad I can’t give a further review.

Perfect Beach Getaway

My family and I stayed here for a few days and absolutely loved it! Awesome location close to the beach and came stocked with everything we needed. The home and pool were clean and comfortable. Will definitely book again next summer!

Splash Pool Relaxation

Great property. Only thing I can say that was not ideal is if you have bad knees, expect to go up and down a lot of stairs. The host thought of everything including a coffee maker in the master bathroom. Cool, clean, stocked with incidentals. We look forward to returning.

Clean, fun and spacious

We loved our stay at villa Del Mar. The house is spacious and unique because there are balconies on every level on the bay and ocean side. You can watch the fireworks from the balcony! The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the jacuzzi. The house was very comfortable and super clean. The walk to the beach was not far at all (about 2 min walk). We will be staying at this house every time we come to south padre.
