Ground Floor Unit with an Ocean View! July specials!

Summer Place #109 is a 1st floor beachfront unit. Unlike many ground floor units, you can see the ocean from this unit. Open the patio door and you are steps from the hot tub, pool or white sand and waves! No need for a parking garage or elevators with this unit. Park right in front of the unit, enter with your digital lock code and start your vacation. It is very convenient when you are lounging at the beach or pool and want to grab something from the unit! You can also sit on the patio and keep an eye on the kids at the pool! Or walk out your patio door to the grill and picnic area which is just a few steps away!

Floor to ceiling patio doors in both the master suite and the living room lead to your own private patio. Summer Place #109 features four spacious bedrooms and sleeps nine comfortably with a king bed in the master suite, a king bed in the 2nd bedroom, a queen bed in the 3rd bedroom and a double/twin bunk in the 4th bedroom. Fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless appliances along with a breakfast bar provide all the conveniences of home. The living room has ample seating and a large flat screen TV. Each bedroom also has a flat screen TV for further enjoyment. The master bath has a whirlpool tub with separate walk-in shower and a double vanity. Free WIFI throughout the condo!

Enjoy the two outdoor pools (one is seasonally heated), hot tub, and a well-equipped fitness room during your family beach vacation. Your vacation also includes seasonal beach service from March through October. You get to choose between 1 umbrella and 2 chairs set up for you daily PLUS one free hour of kayak or paddle board use OR 2 umbrellas and 4 chairs set up for you daily. With the Gulf of Mexico waters in full view, simply walk out onto the beautiful white sand beaches of Okaloosa Island and enjoy the very best that the Emerald Coast has to offer. Summer Place is walking distance to restaurants, night life and family attractions.

Roomy condo / great location

Our family of 9 had a wonderful week at the beach! Plenty of room for all and the location is great - right on the beach and right across the street from a lot of restaurants. :)

Pros and cons

Pros: This location is amazing. Being able to walk right out to the beach and pool is so convenient. You can also park right out front of the unit. The owner was a good communicator though the management company is the one you are supposed to contact for any issues. The WiFi didn’t work when we got there and someone from the management company fixed it for us. The unit is really big with a lot of space for everyone. Cons: the dryer didn’t work during our stay and we notified the management company and owner so hopefully it’s getting fixed after we leave. The unit is old and really needs to be updated. The carpets in the bedrooms are grimy and smell musty and the rug in the living room smells sour. The couches are stained and we had to lay sheets on them to sit on them. Paint is coming off of the walls and doors and one of the bathroom has cracks in the drywall and mold growing. The building was testing a fire-alarm while we were there and alarms were going off for a whole day. We weren’t notified until after the cancellation date so we couldn’t cancel. We had babies that needed to nap in the condo and it kept them up all day. One of the bathroom doors don’t lock. The air conditioning in some rooms is great but in the back room it’s at least 8 degrees warmer than the thermostat (we had a thermometer on the baby monitor). The unit decor is not kid friendly. There are multiple 5 feet tall candle holders that were extremely heavy and dangerous to kids.

May 2023 five night stay

We’ve stayed up and down the Gulf from Mexico Beach to Destin over the past 25 years…This was probably one of the cleaner places we have rented. It was perfect for our family. There’s 2 good restaurants across the street so we never even got in the car until it was time to leave. Just make sure you take at least salt and pepper because there’s none there.

This was our first time at this condo and wasn’t sure about being on the ground floor but it was fantastic! Great location, clean, and great staff we will return to this unit!

Wonderful vacation

This past week couldn't have been any better! The condo is beautiful and well furnished. We had everything we needed. The accessibility to the hot tub, pool, beach and the grills can't be beat. Walking distance to several restaurants. I highly recommend Stewby's Seafood Market. We ordered shrimp and crab legs and for a few extra dollars they steam them for you. The weather was perfect...never saw a raindrop. Hated to leave but will be back.

This was been the best vacation, location is perfect for the pool and beach. Owner is very responsive and the condo was amazing. This will be our new vacation spot!

Pretty perfect

What a great week we had! I’ve never stayed on the ground level at a condo before bc I like my ocean view. But the location of this unit won me over! It is an end unit with lawn, the BBQ grills and the ocean in front of it. While it had its own gated access to the pool, the lawn directly in front is gated off from the pool area..so no randoms wondering about your patio, unless they are in the lawn using the grills. And let me tell you that was beneficial!!! We not only used the grills several times (and we’ve never used a grill at a condo before bc who wants to carry food up and down an elevator..but this was like it was our own backyard, but every night we sat on the patio and every night we made lots of friends (mostly from Louisiana) and everybody fed us!! Those folks from Louisiana don’t mess around with their food either, we tried things we’d never had before nightly!!!! It didn’t matter that we said we’d already eaten and were full...we still got samples :) The pool being so close allowed me to offer my 13yr old girls more freedom than I otherwise would have been comfortable with since they didn’t have to disappear into elevators and walk thru parking garages to get to the pool alone and I was able to always see them. The unit itself is all you need. Clean, decorated well (though the colors and decor were a bit heavy for a place at the beach, just my personal opinion, I like light and airy) but it had everything we needed for the week and the convenience of bringing groceries in and not needing an elevator or luggage cart to do it was fabulous! Great location too!!! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Amazing vacation

We highly recommend this property. Prefect in many ways, from you first floor porch you can see and access the pool, Beach, grass area, and grills. Across the street are many delicious restiraunt options. Pre-planning by the property manager was extremely helpful. Check in was a breeze. Communication with the property manger throughout the stay was easily accessible via the VBRO app (if needed), but we didn’t need because everything was perfect upon arrival. We even had the use of 4 adult chairs and 2 umbrellas set up daily by 9am on the beach for you. We will definitely be recommending friends and family to this property and we will be back !
