About the home
“Beach Road Bliss” is a delightful double-storey family home in Rhyll with stunning water views over the Churchill Island Marine National Park, just a short walk from the beach and various shops in Rhyll, and comfortable drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The downstairs Living Room (with a full sized fridge and selection of card & board games) flows out to the covered Ground Floor Alfresco, and has internal access to the Garage. A hallway leads to Bedrooms 3, 4 and 5 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with shower & bath), a separate Toilet and a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer), which in turn leads to another Bathroom (with shower & toilet).
Upstairs is a large open plan Kitchen (with WIP)/Dining/Living Room (with 42" smart TV) that has delightful water views, and flows out to the covered Verandah. Also upstairs is Bedroom 1, which features a WIR and an ensuite (with shower & toilet) and Bedroom 2, which features a WIR and a dual entry ensuite (with shower & toilet).
Outdoor Areas
The fantastic covered upstairs front Verandah (with gas BBQ, table for 6 and two small outdoor lounges) has stunning water views over the Churchill Island Marine National Park. The downstairs Alfresco (with seating for 6) overlooks the yard, and there is a Double Garage (with table tennis table & internal access). Parking is available for up to 4 cars in the long, wide driveway.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, two microwaves, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, rice cooker, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and induction cook top. There is also a second fridge in the downstairs Living Room.
Heating/Cooling Systems
The home has four wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners; one each in the upstairs Living Room, downstairs Living Room and Bedroom 1 and 2 and ceiling fans in all 5 Bedrooms. Bedroom 3,4 and 5 has a mobile heater in each room.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 7 beds, plus 2 sofa beds, accommodating up to 14 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One King bed and one Single bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One King bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): One Queen bed and one Single bed
Bedroom 5 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
There are also two Single sofa beds in the upstairs Living Room, each suitable for 1 adult or child.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
