When I stepped into the house, I walked into a cobweb. There was many found throughout the house. There was a quarter of a paper towel roll left, and no other to be found anywhere. It was very difficult to clean up with no paper towels, and no dish towels, there were supposed to be paper towels in a cabinet in the basement, but it was locked. It also looks like there may be rodents in the house some of the pillows, including the one that was on one of the beds was chewed, and there was a small hole in it.

Kelly. We want you to know there are spiders on the exterior of the home in some areas. We do our very best to clean them however NH around the lake you will find some bugs. The pillow you speak of was identified, it appears someone had ripped the tag off of the pillow. There’s paper towel located in the locked cabinet and we are only a message away and you would have had it within minutes. Unfortunately you didn’t inform us of anything while staying as we pride ourselves in responsiveness

No closets or hooks in any room. Towel rack broken in first floor bathroom. Shower had to be turned to cold for hot water. 1st floor kitchen knobs on some cabinet doors ready to fall off. Upper cabinets and microwave were hung at least 2 feet higher than standard cabinets. Stairs to 3rd floor not standard width. House is right next to busy road and can hear cars and trucks all night long. Listing sleeps 14 but only 3 rooms with beds. 1 with double bunk bed, 1 queen and 1 king. 1 room with sleep sofa and sleep sofa in front converted porch area. Accent pillow in 1st floor bedroom was ripped with stuffing coming out. Blinds did not go down all way. Door on front porch not framed correctly, had gap at bottom where you could see outside. Most rooms looked like there were one or more DIY project not finished. Electronic key pad did not work. Host did provide plenty of supplies and kitchen equipped with everything needed.

We booked this property back in January. Originally the pictures showed a bedroom with very slanted ceilings. It was a pleasant surprise to see they raised the roof and it became a huge master bedroom. So basically there is two master bedrooms. All the other improvements were great too. All rooms were great. You may need a step stool for the upper kitchen cabinets, if you’re short. Luckily everyone I traveled with were much taller and could reach dishes for me. Every question I messaged was answered promptly. Communication before and during was very attentive. I love how this house is really in a cove. Added an extra sense of serenity. We used their kayak, canoe and paddle board that was provided. We also had our boat at the dock. The hot tub was hot and clean. The fire pit area was great too. We were a party of ten and had plenty of space. Would definitely use this house again.

Perfect house for a family getaway

Overlooking the lake with many cozy places to hangout and a hot tub, this was the perfect place for a family getaway. We traveled here in the winter and are looking forward to returning in the spring.

Stay in Alton Bay

We really enjoyed the area. The paddle board, kayak, and canoe were really enjoyable, as was the hot tub. Loved the outdoor seating area. The busy road was a little concerning at first. The property manager was very kind and we were able to reach him easily.

Fun family getaway

We throughly enjoyed our week on the lake! A little pricey but time with family is priceless. The house is older but is in a great location and plenty big enough to accommodate all of our family members comfortably. The neighbors were very nice and kind to us despite the other reviews we read prior to our trip.

Great getaway

Awesome location on the lake! Perfect spot to getaway with some friends, use the hot tub, ice fish, and skate! Great location near gunstock mountain and super clean. Steve was very responsive and organized! Would definitely recommend

perfect casual accommodations for group

If you have a large family or group traveling and just need a casual place to stay, this house is perfect. The host was great to have delivered to our doorstep a casserole dish! Bluetooth speaker, microphones, the keyboard and guitar made for a fun karaoke night. Cons: -decks weren’t shoveled -hot tub appeared old and dirty or rusted in spots so we didn’t use

It had just snowed our apologies for the decks not being shoveled ...but it was a blessing for the slopes! as for the hot tub it is 1 year old and plastic with no metal, we have made sure that our hot tub is cleaned and water balanced before check in. Great winter weekend getaway

Had a great winter weekend with our group of 8 adults and 2 toddlers. The house is cozy - you could put two more adults in the bunk room but more would likely feel crowded. Super close to Gunstock and some great winter hiking, and we walked over to the Alton Bay winter festival. Hot tub was perfect. Only downside is there's no dining table for the group, but there are plenty of chairs and places to be so as long as you're not doing a formal sit -down dinner it's great. Would love to come back, winter or summer!
