Summer Bay House—Lakefront Escape at Encounter Bay

This lakefront retreat captures the essence of coastal South Australia, where soft light, open design, and calm water views set an easy rhythm from the moment you arrive. Sunlight streams through generous windows, highlighting the home’s natural tones, layered textures, and contemporary coastal styling.

The upstairs living area frames sweeping views across the lake—an inviting space to slow down and let the stillness of the bay set the pace for the day. The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped with quality stainless-steel appliances and thoughtful touches, from a Nespresso machine for slow mornings to wine glasses ready for sunset drinks. Share meals around the eight-seater dining table, or take them outside to the balcony for casual barbecues and evening breezes.

Downstairs, a relaxed second living area provides space for everyone to unwind, opening directly to the outdoors. The fenced backyard leads to the water’s edge, where sun loungers and a private pontoon invite paddleboarding, fishing, or quiet moments beside the lake.

Four bedrooms comfortably sleep eight guests. Upstairs, the primary bedroom offers a king bed, while the second bedroom features a queen. A family bathroom with a bath, shower, and separate water closet completes this level. Downstairs, a further queen bedroom and one with two singles—convertible to a king on request—are served by a modern second bathroom.

With split-system heating and cooling, a full laundry, and off-street parking, the home blends comfort with coastal ease—perfectly positioned close to the beach yet peacefully removed from the bustle of Victor Harbor.

Two stand-up paddleboards are available for guest use during your stay. For safety, they are secured when not in use and can only be accessed with a code, which will be provided once a liability waiver has been signed. Guests are responsible for any damage incurred, and all use of the boards is entirely at their own risk.

Please treat the our home as if it were your own. Kindly leave the property in a tidy condition upon departure. Unexpected additional cleaning cost will be forwarded to you.

$200AUD cleaning/deodorising fee charged if guest is found to have been smoking in the property.

CHECK OUT: Check out strictly at 10AM. Additional charges will be incurred for our cleaners time if not vacant upon their arrival. We charge $30AUD for the first 30 minutes, and $60AUD for every 30-minutes after this.

LOST KEYS/LOCKOUTS: Please keep the property key with you all the time during your stay. Lost key/emergency key delivery charges will be $180AUD plus key replacement fee or cost of a locksmith.

LOST PROPERTY: For any items left behind - the host will hold the item for a maximum of 30 days from check-out date after which time they will be considered abandoned and disposed of or donated. During the 30 day collection period, collection can be arranged by way of the guest providing a prepaid postage bag to a supplied address or the item can be collected in person at an agreed time and location.
