The Fleetwing cottage is a charming beach cottage with a private dock during the summer months right on the shore of peaceful Garrett Bay. Named the Fleetwing after the shipwreck by that name that is right off your private pier The Fleetwing cottage is tucked in a private, setting with beautiful views of Door Bluff. The Fleetwing is completely remodeled with 3 bedrooms (one with air-conditioning) and 2 baths, also super fast internet access, an ideal vacation home for a large family. A magnificent fireplace makes cool evenings a pleasure, or enjoy eating outside on the stone patio. There is a private dock (summer season) for sunning, swimming or enjoying sunsets, also a firepit on the beach for evening fires. Pets and kids are welcome! You are a bluff away from Gills Rock and great eating at the Shoreline or a ferry ride to Washington Island. Ellison Bay is a 3 minute drive away with coffee shops, Pioneer store and three restaurants offering curbside or outdoor and indoor eating.

I am a "repeat customer" and I once again enjoyed a nice stay at the Fleetwing. It's exactly what I want and need when I come to Door County -- quiet, on the water, and off the beaten path. Plenty of parks and natural areas within a short-ish drive. The host, Jen, is easy to get in touch with, but I rarely have the need. I hope to come back again.

Everything was great and the location and everything was beautiful. We had some mishaps and the owner was very friendly and worked with us on resolving everything. Our mishaps were to our own accord. She was great and the house was maintained and cleaned very well. We happened to see her cleaning another rental and she was thorough, giving us a lot of assurance to the cleanliness of our rental.

Enjoyed our time on Garrett Bay. The views and beach were spectacular; the house was clean besides some moths/spiders; but that is to be expected for a lakeside home. Linens, kitchen, and bathrooms were tidy and had what we needed! We came for the water access and were not disappointed!

Great place for a group!

The property is amazing! The waterfront space is so peaceful and gorgeous, the yard overlooks this space which is super nice! We had multiple friends stay so we all had a bed and the two full bathrooms was a life saver to get ready in! The location is perfect for keeping a peaceful trip in Door County off the busier areas. We loved how close food options were and the sand beaches. Definitely recommend and would go again!

Beautiful and peaceful

We loved our stay. The cabin has a beautiful view of the lake. Although it felt very private and secluded it was a short drive to Sister Bay. We were very comfortable.

Quiet and relaxing stay and dog friendly allowed us to take the whole family. Enjoyed waking up to the view of the water and the sunrises and sunsets. Location was amazing also

Wonderful Lakehouse, Amazing Location!

Such a beautiful, quiet, private location! The Fleetwing has everything you need for a weekend (or longer) getaway, we were very comfortable. Property Manager Jen is great! She was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay. I highly recommend this property, and I just can't say enough about the location!

Cozy Cottage

The views are spectacular! So relaxing with the water And waves rolling in. If you want a secluded and nature filled vacation this is the spot! You can also head into the busier towns for shopping and restaurants. The owners are wonderful people!

Heaven by the Lake!

From the check in process to the check out process, Jen was amazing! The place was beautiful and the view magnificent!! We spent most of our days hiking the local state parks and spent the evenings cooking and having a few by the fire. What a great place to stay!!

Great location near tip of peninsula!

Great views of Garrett Bay (In Lake Michigan)! Interesting one-level cottage, so no stairs. Comfortable beds and plenty of supplies (toilet paper, salt & pepper, zip-lock bags, towels, firewood, etc). Hostess was very responsive to requests.

cabin on lake Michigan

we had a wonderful time at this cabin. cute comfy to stay in. beautiful view of lake Michigan . we love riding our bikes all around and to gills rock to shop and eat at there great restaurant up there. would love to stay again some day.

Great place to stay with a beautiful view

We like the "quieter" side of door county when we stay. This is a great place to stay right on the lake. Super quiet and convenient for the 2 dogs we brought. 5 minutes away from Sister Bay. We will definitely stay again. Great host! Quick with answers to questions.

Family Memories Made

The cottage is so cozy. The outdoor space is beyond amazing, we spent almost all our time outside. A fire pit, beachfront, and pier allowed us to make so many memories. And family game nights at the kitchen table were a hit! The cottage was exactly as pictured and did not disappoint at all!! We definitely hope to be back next year.

Ellison Bay Cottage 05/26/23 Stay

The VRBO cottage was very nice. Everything was as advertised. Beautiful waterfront property, very private location for a very comfortable stay. Ellison Bay 5 minute drive, Sister Bay 12 minute drive to many things to do if you do not want to relax by the outside fire pit with friends. Property manager went above and beyond.
