Come relax and enjoy this spacious waterfront home located on the Steinhatchee River, the best kept secret on the gulf coast. Sit on the screened front porch and watch the beautiful sun rise and the boats heading out for a day on the gulf. Great fishing year round and scallop season in the summer. Bring your gear and experience the best of what Steinhatchee has to offer.

This home is a 3 bedroom and 2.5 bath and has one king, one queen, two full beds and one twin bed. We have linens, towels and a fully stocked kitchen with new appliances. The rental also includes one covered boat slip, community pool and is in a gated neighborhood. Shuffle board downstairs and other games for the kids.

Some of the world’s largest freshwater springs are located within 100 miles of Steinhatchee.

Beautiful Location! We had a wonderful time scalloping and it was very nice being able to dock the boat at their community dock. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing and worry free stay. Host responded quickly to any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Property was exactly as advertised. Cute coastal decor. Plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 2 small children. Wonderful to have the dock and boat slip. Community pool was refreshing after a day on the Gulf.

Place was lovely Only complaint was mosquitos were terrible and getting to boat dock was kind of far Plus we did find some animal hair in the place but it was a pretty place very spacious and otherwise clean

Wonderful river house

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip staying at Kap’n Jewel! The house was well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms, beds were comfortable and towels were nice and plentiful. The docks were great for the boat and we loved the outside spaces. The screened in back porch was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon drinks as the rain rolled in and the swing downstairs was a family favorite!Thank you for sharing your place and we will definitely be back!

All around excellent experience!

We booked this beautiful property for our annual family fishing trip. The accommodations we perfect! Plenty of space and everything we needed was available. The view from the back porch is remarkable. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Steinhatchee.

Kapn's Jewel was perfect for out group, check in was seamless. The neighborhood was quiet and not busy, other vacationers with families. Plenty of linens and basic kitchen goods. The dock was perfect for our boat and close to open water and the view was beautiful. I would recommend lids and strap downs for the outdoor garbage cans as the racoons are very active at night and we had to be creative to develop a lid they could not access. Our first night we learned along with the neighbors to secure all cans and any coolers outside. There are two flights of outdoor stairs that are slippery when wet, non-skid tape or something like that would be helpful to provide a grip. We had a great time and will return! Thank you to our hosts!

Overall Top Notch!

This was a great home! Clean and comfortable with beautiful views. We brought our boat and kept it at the slip at the property which was great because we went scalloping every day! There was a cart to help get our things to the docks and an outdoor fridge, which was nice for cold drinks. We would love to come back and stay again!

Fabulous Family Vacation House

We had an amazing week of scalloping and the Captain's Jewel is the perfect place to stay! We were two families, both with elementary age kids and the house was well suited to accommodate us. Julia, the Owner/Property Manager is incredibly responsive and the house has lots of extras like ample paper products, cooking spices, and toiletries. We will definitely be back! What a beautiful spot!
