Coro Lodge is a rare large-group retreat in the heart of Coromandel Town — combining historic villa charm with modern comfort across 7 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Designed for memorable gatherings, the property is perfect for extended families, fishing groups, celebrations, wedding guests and multi-family holidays
Originally built in 1862, Coro Lodge combines a historic villa with a second character villa to create a unique homestead designed for large groups. Full of wonderful character, timeless charm and a rich sense of history, the property offers guests a chance to experience a special piece of Coromandel heritage.
Designed for large-group stays, the home offers plenty of space to gather, relax and entertain after a day exploring the Coromandel or out on the water. Thoughtfully furnished for comfortable stays, the property includes quality linen, ample glassware and well-equipped entertaining spaces ideal for memorable occasions and time together.
A rare feature for larger group accommodation, 5 of the 7 bedrooms include their own ensuite, helping guests enjoy added comfort and privacy during their stay.
The property includes 2 fridge/freezers plus an additional freezer, double kettles and toasters, large dining areas, laundry facilities and multiple indoor/outdoor living spaces.
The huge flat section offers room for boats and trailer turnaround, backyard cricket, rugby and group activities beneath two stunning pōhutukawa trees.
Perfect for fishing clubs, mates weekends, corporate retreats, milestone birthdays, wedding guests and multi-family holidays.
Located in quaint Coromandel Town, Coro Lodge is also a fantastic base for experiencing some of the Peninsula`s best attractions. Ride the famous Driving Creek Railway, explore The Waterworks, visit Long Bay Beach, discover historic gold-mining sites, enjoy local fishing charters, or simply relax and soak up the charm of Coromandel`s cafes, galleries and coastal walks. From Coromandel Town you can enjoy day trips to Cathedral Cove, Hahei and Hot Water Beach.
Upcoming additions in progress include a games barn with table tennis and a large outdoor chess courtyard!

Guests will have full private access to the property. We aim to make stays as easy and seamless as possible with minimal interaction, however we are readily available via the app, phone or message if needed during your stay. We’re also happy to assist with local recommendations, activity ideas and general Coromandel advice.
We hope you and your group have a fantastic stay at Coro Lodge. To help us keep the property enjoyable for all guests and neighbours, we ask that the following house rules are respected:
• Please respect our neighbours and observe quiet hours between 10pm and 7am. Outdoor noise should be kept to a minimum during these times.
• No parties, functions or events without prior written approval. Only registered guests are permitted on site unless arranged with management beforehand.
• Please avoid driving or parking on the grass during wet conditions to help protect the grounds and avoid damage, as well as getting vehicles and boats stuck in Coro mud!
• The property is strictly non-smoking and non-vaping indoors. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly and remove them with your rubbish.
