Manatee watching April-May-June and on & off through the rest of the year. Kayaking East to Mayakka or West to Venice Jetty’s. 2 miles from Nokomis Beach. 2 miles to downtown Venice. Lovely, peaceful vacation

The home is conveniently located just a short drive from restaurants and groceries. We arrived to a spotless home outfitted with absolutely everything we needed for our 10-day stay. We spent much of our time relaxing in the lanai and sunning in the patio watching the various waterfowl. Kayaks were available though we didn’t take advantage of them on this trip. We visited some favorite restaurants and found some new ones. Also did some cooking in the very well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of dishware was on hand. appliances looked very new and worked well. And the view overlooking Curry Creek was much appreciated. We encountered no issues during our stay but were easily & quickly able to reach Schane & Christine (who live right next door) when we had a question.

We love it here

This place is absolutely wonderful, and Schane and Christine rock. They went above and beyond with a special request we had and also with a super-speedy washing machine replacement. We've come 4 years in a row and will keep coming as long as they'll have us.

My family would definitely stay here again. Very clean amenities, wonderful time sitting outside on the water, friendly hosts. Close to highway but quiet neighborhood.

Tranquil paradise with spectacular water views from every room

This home is a slice of heaven on earth! The open layout enhances the breathtaking views of Curry Creek. The home is immaculate, beautifully appointed, perfect for families or friends. The homeowners are always helpful and responsive. You can kayak, fish, or relax on the patio or screened porch and enjoy nature in a peaceful setting. Great location close to beaches, shopping and dining. A favorite VRBO property! 10/10

Beautiful Home

This was our second time staying here and it will not be our last. Schane & Christine are wonderful hosts. We have stayed at quite a few properties in Florida, but this is by far our favorite. You can't go wrong with this quiet and peaceful location.

This property is beautiful and quiet. The home is updated and gives the quintessential coastal retreat vibe! The area is super quiet but so close to all the attractions, Venice Beach, Casperson, Nokomis, and Casey Key. Highly recommended!

Very relaxing spot

Guiase was very clean with almost everything one can need in their own household. The view was amazing, we came to relax and stay away from the rush and got exactly that, love it.

Lovely and spacious spot with plenty to do!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days while visiting family nearby. The home is stunning - very clean, modern and spacious. We especially enjoyed the fishing and kayaks - what a fun way to pass the time! Our hosts were also lovely - friendly, easy to contact if needed and knowledgeable about fishing (which my boyfriend was grateful for LOL). We had a fantastic stay, hope to be back and would highly recommend!!! Thank you Schane and Christine for having us.

We LOVED this house for many reasons. It is very quiet on a cul de sac, the view across the creek is private and gorgeous, and the remodel job is first class. The kitchen is more than equipped for any endeavor and you have several choices for eating, sitting, just hanging. Beaches are literally and surprisingly minutes away. There isn't a down side that I can think of. Wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next time! Thank you Shane and Christine!

Best kept secret location in Venice

We really liked this home. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The view was amazing. We will definitely return to this property in the future. The perfect sunrise for a cup of coffee.

Fabulous

What can I say that hasn't already been said before in all of the other reviews? The house is immaculate and very nicely decorated! The view is fabulous! The beds are very comfortable! The location is wonderful with easy/quick access to downtown Venice, Venice Beach and Nokomis Beach by car or bike. A big plus for me was the proximity to the Legacy Trail which I biked often going both north (to hike in Oscar Scherer State Park) and south to both Shamrock Park and to Caspersen Park. Lastly, the owners and their two sons were all incredibly nice and very helpful. I highly recommend staying here! Thanks Schane and Christine!

Quiet and Relaxing

We are boaters. We live in this area because we love that we can get to the gulf from our home but are still nestled away from all the hustle bustle.

Nokomis is a boating community. The neighborhood is quiet. It has many canals and is enclosed by 2 creeks - Shakett and Curry. It is near several beaches, close to grocery stores and retail stores and near downtown Venice for shopping!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The view at this property is amazing from dawn til dusk. There is a bird sanctuary behind the house on the other side of the creek. You can see all sorts of wildlife from birds, to gators, to manatee and all sorts of fish species. It’s in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by water yet close to everything.
