Best House to Stay in Steinhatchee

The house is amazing, the views are unbelievable, and the host/owner is the nicest and helpful that I have encountered. We highly recommend.

Gorgeous sunset views

This house was just the right size to fit my large family in for our annual Scallop trip. It has an amazing third floor for the young adults to play pool. While their playing pool the adults can enjoy the sunset from the huge porch.

This is one of my all-time favorite places. You can’t lose with this home. It’s so perfectly located that when the weather is too bad to do anything else, you can enjoy the storms from the deck. The pictures actually don’t do this place Justice. If you’re on the fence about it, speaking from experience, it’s totally worth it.

Waterfront palace

Listing is accurate. House ideally situated for quick access to fishing and scalloping. We had 4 groups of friends and they were all comfortable.

Upon arrival the door to enter would not unlock the house. Owner called someone in the area to come and unlock the house. The first floor from the ground floor includes the kitchen, a bedroom and bath. The porch on 2nd level was filthy with old food left on the porch. The grill and Blackstone were disgusting. The cookers needed cleaning and food was visible on the grill…YUCK! We were told on the way to the location that the elevator was not working. We stayed at the house 2 days waiting on the elevator repairman. The owner did show up for the elevator repairman and I asked help on the gas stove. The oven was fine and worked well. However, the stove top blew a huge flame of fire across the top. Owner saw it himself and called gas company for another repairman. It was a simple fix…the house cleaner must have pulled the burners apart to clean then put them together incorrectly!We had originally planned a family reunion as the unit was advertised as having an elevator. We were glad since we had older relatives coming with mobility issues with stairs!! I guess it was a blessing that the relatives could not make it. The pool advertised was 10 person Hot Tub. Removed cover and it was full of sand and debris! Not inviting at all!To sum it up we paid a large amount of money for 5 nights in a rental that definitely was not worth such an amount! Think before you rent this one!!!

Amazing, we thoroughly enjoyed everything about this home

The home is laid out perfectly for multiple families and is equipped with everything you need for your vacation. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms well stocked. We cooked several meals on the outdoor firepit/grill and also used the smoker and grill. The kitchen has everything you need and then some - griddle pans, small to large pans, plenty of dishes, bakeware and serving pieces. The outdoor space is amazing and had plenty of room for our group of 13 to clean scallops and fish and the icemaker downstairs was an added bonus that we used throughout our stay. The owners are friendly and inviting and were very responsive from the time we booked our reservation and during our stay they answered immediately with any question we had about the home and area. We are planning our 2024 trip and hope we have the opportunity to be hosted by this lovely couple.

We had a fantastic time. House had everything we needed and more for the 20 of us that were there. Location is ideal. Host was very responsive and accessible. Highly recommend and would definitely come back
