Our home is located in a private and world-renowned area of North Forest Beach, known for some of the island's most sought-after beaches. Private pool (heat available at an additional cost), as well as, a fenced backyard for pets! Hot tub installed in a covered area in garage. Close walk or bike to Coligny Plaza for dinner, drinks, ice cream, shopping, and Children's Park and Amphitheater! Don't miss your chance to stay in this beautifully appointed 6 bedroom (three with private baths), 4.5 bath home, and your own private pool (heat available for an additional cost), just a few steps from the sandy beach and ocean breeze!

"Dunes Lantern" is located within walking distance of the Coligny Plaza which is home to some of the popular restaurant options on the island, including Frosty Frog (great to catch a game or known for their Daiquiris), Vine (Upscale Italian Restaurant), Moo's Ice-cream (lots of delicious flavors), Sandbar (fresh seafood and delicious cocktails), Big Bamboo (great musicians and nightlife), Coffee shop, a Theater, and new children's park/children's museum.
Feel free to use our 4 bikes, beach chairs for your convenience and savings. There are bike trails close by to venture throughout the island to see Alligators and other wildlife. Golf carts are also allowed around the island on any roads 25 mph limit.
Enjoy the open floor plan from the kitchen to the living area, great for entertaining and maximizing your vacation time with friends and family. Moms - the kitchen features a great breakfast bar for the kids, as well as chef grade cooking gear, cutlery, and stainless steel appliances. Two refrigerators, plentiful cabinetry, and a large pantry area for a week of groceries! The living room features a HDTV smart TV and DVD player, including Apps such as Netflix, HULU, and Pandora. The master bedroom features a king size bed, spacious private bath and spacious walk-in closet. The master bathroom has double bowl vanity, and tiled walk-in shower. The "Nautical Nook" (3rd bedroom) features another king bed with TV with Cable and Netflix and access to bathroom from the bedroom. The fourth bedroom is an oversized room with king bed with private bathroom en-suite. The fifth bedroom is downstairs off the garage, features a queen bedroom with bathroom en-suite. The sixth bedroom features two sets of twin bunks. Perfect for teenagers and older children wanting their space. The living space features a sofa and flat screen TV.
The entire "Dune's Lantern" provides a luxurious beach cottage feel with newly updated sofas in living room, spacious wood dining table and chairs, features free high speed secured wireless internet service throughout. Our heated pool features fun for every age! The pool is surrounded by vegetation offering privacy for the pool. The outdoor area features propane grill, outdoor patio table and chairs to enjoy a meal al fresco! (Additional pool heat fee of $1000/week).
When you're ready to head to the beach, you can walk or take a quick bike ride. There is a small parking area at the beach access point to leave golf cart, car or bikes. Pack the 'mule' and cooler and you're off to the beach! If you are looking for a comfortable, updated, fun, and well appointed home centrally located in premier beach location, then look no further! We also have a golf cart that we rent out for your stay ($300/week).

**** Frequently Asked Questions ****
What arrangements are made to pick up a key? Our home is equipped with a keybox entry system that is programmed with a code. We will provide the secure access code after reservation is confirmed.
What is check in and check out time? Check in is strictly 4pm or later. Check out is 10 am.
What if there is an issue while we are staying at your house? All issues are quickly addressed with minimal disruption to your vacation. You will notify the owners directly.
Where can we rent bikes and how much does it cost? As mentioned above, feel free to use our bikes or use one of the many bike rental companies on the plantation. I'll be glad to provide you with recommended companies should you decide to not use our bikes, or should you need more.
How close are you to the beach? We are a second row home so STEPS to the beach!
Do you offer discounts? If your arrival date is less than 30 days away and our home is available, we will certainly work with you.
Does the Pool heat included? No, the pool heat is an additional $1000/week. This needs to be indicated at least a week ahead of your arrival so we can arrange the pool heat.
Do we add cleaning fees to your listed prices? Cleaning fees are always charged separately than the rental rate. The only other fees are South Carolina Accommodation and City of Hilton Head Island taxes totaling 10%, and the optional fee to heat the pool.

We do require $175 pet fee, per pet which will be requested separately. All pets have to be approved. We require five night minimum for all weekends in off season. 7 night minimum (Saturday to Saturday) from May 1-September 15th.
The pool can be heated for $1000/week or $175/night.
We also have a golf cart that we rent out for your stay ($300/week).
