River Front Home on 6+ Acres - Dog Friendly/Game Room

Situated on 6+ acres of forest at 2,000 ft. elevation, this private cozy cabin rests just yards from the sandy banks of North Fork of the Cosumnes River. Property includes a main cabin and an outbuilding that has a pool table, foosball table, Pacman 1up arcade and Mortal Kombat Legacy 1up arcade. Outside has kayaks, cornhole, horseshoes, fishing and camping with outdoor kitchen.

The main cabin sits just uphill from the river with views from all 3 levels. The main level consists of a full kitchen with full amenities, dining room, family room and large outdoor deck overlooking the river. The upstairs loft features a king-sized bed and full bathroom.
Downstairs has a queen bed, full bath, laundry room with private entrance and patio. The property also features a large outdoor kitchen perfect for hosting outdoor BBQ’s. The outdoor kitchen consists of a gas BBQ, running water, sink, refrigerator, electrical outlets, pantry, cooking utensils and plenty of covered seating for dinning. Note, there is 1.1 miles of partially paved and gravel road. Ok for 2 wheel drives. Winter may require 4 wheel drive if weather is bad.

Located in the heart of El Dorado County’s wine country with wine tasting nearby. Close to Fair Play, Placerville, Pollack Pines, Sutter Creek, Plymouth, South Lake Tahoe, Bear Creek, Kirkwood Ski Resort, Silver Lake, Jackson Rancheria Casino, wineries, golf courses, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and mountain biking.

This was one of the most well stocked and thoughtful stays we have done. Theres so many things to keep yourself busy. The hotub was amazing, we had so much fun playing pool, painting rocks, and kayaking. Our dog loved running around in the yard. We enjoyed out nights sitting on the patio listening to the wildlife, in fact 2 of our nights we listened to a bobcat and found its prints the next morning. The host was so responsive. We will 100% be booking another trip to this cabin. We cant say enough positive things about it.

This is the best home rental we have ever stayed at! It has absolutely everything you need from leisure to family friendly activities and is so close to amazing wineries.We used the provided kayaks to play in the river, we painted a rocks, read on the balcony, and enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen is fully stocked so we were able to cook all our meals with minimal effort. It is so quiet and luxurious here, we cannot recommend it enough!!! The trees and river are gorgeous and so serene. This is paradise.

Wow! What a beautiful, serene setting with a very comfortable house. Easy check in, fantastic communication, fully stocked kitchen, and everything you need to hang out in the peace and quiet and enjoy the wildlife. A large variety of seating areas outside to choose from. All of the furnishings inside and out are sturdy and comfortable. The house was very clean, and the beds were comfy. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I have already recommended it to a friend who is local but looking for a “staycation” on the water. The sounds of the river will chill you right out. Thanks a million!

Relaxationbat the river

We loved this home. They pretty much thought of everything you would need to make your vacation complete. The river was amazing. Wish we could start our vacation over again. The owner was very kind and thoughtful. Much appreciated. We hope to visit again soon I attached a picture of one of the rocks we painted and left on property.

Perfect weekend ranch house getaway

Private, clean, large property. Lots of fun activities to fill your day. The river, game room, outdoor kitchen, firepits, multiple patios to choose from, spa, pool tables, etc. Great place to be active or just relax. The star gazing in the evenings was amazing. The beds were comfy and the inside of the chalet was pretty fancy. Will be back!

Better than expected!

This property is amazing. There's so much to do you won't need to leave. Wifi is not streamable but otherwise perfectly adequate. Was able to send pics and videos to friends and family. The place is remote, about 9min of paved and unpaved road which is PERFECT if you want remoteness and a VERY safe place for your dogs to explore unleashed. I planned this trip with the dogs in mind. They are getting older and really needed a vacation about as much as we did. Our two grown children came too and we had, a great time, talking about old times, playing games, hot tubbing and listening to the quiet sounds of nature all around while watching the dogs play and enjoy themselves. If you are a cook, like I am, you will find the kitchen a bit limiting, so it's best to keep things simple.Think spaghetti, or steaks and baked potatoes, that sort of thing. The two beds are comfortable and the linens fresh and clean. The place is surprisingly small but the king sized loft bed (VERY comfortable) and a queen size bed downstairs fit the bill, we just brought a blow up bed for one of the kids. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom so the small space works. The high ceilings on the main floor, with large windows and the adjacent decks, front and back make it feel much larger too. You couldn't ask for a better host! Misti was so responsive and accommodating. We reluctantly drove away with wonderful memories of this magical place. Thank you Misti for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Very nice property

Very nice property for a quiet and relaxing long weekend with our dog. Nice layout with a bedroom in the walk out basement which is essential for our needs as we brought our senior dog with us. She cannot really climb stairs any longer so great layout for us. Well laid out property with nice access to the river, hot tube, billiards table and game room. Host supplies all essentials to make it easy as this is pretty far away from town to just pick something up. Overall, we would recommend and are interested in returning for another long weekend.

Great vacation!

Vacationing here was enjoyable for everyone in the family. The game room and river access served as great entertainment for adults and children. The house was very clean. The attention to detail by the host was remarkable. Every space throughout the property had items to make you think "wow they even thought of that, how nice!" We loved our stay here and give it a perfect rating!

Peaceful & Fun!

Had a wonderful time, the property is clean and includes several fun activities, river, pool, 3 stand up arcade games, darts, foosball, hot tub, and the great outdoors! The house is well maintained and clean, had everything we needed for a week long getaway.

Absolutely Beautiful !

My husband & I had an amazing time @ the River Front Home on 6+ Acres w/Hot Tub & Game Room! There was so much to do to keep us occupied. Enjoyed the peace & quiet in the morning, plus through out the day & night. We look forward to staying again. I would highly recommend if you have kids or spouse or just want to get away yourself. Very well kept & clean! Thanks to the owners for having an amazing getaway to enjoy.

Beautiful and Quiet Restful Trip

This property has a lot of amazing features and is a beautiful, scenic place to stay way off the beaten path. Our ONLY complaint (and it's a small one) is that we were both a little under the weather and hoping to watch a few Christmas movies streaming, but the internet is not fast enough to stream shows and the cable TV was limited also. If you're going for a tech-free get away though, this place is perfect for a couple (or 2 couples!)

Ladybug River House

If you like California native plants and lazing by a small river this house is for you. There are many beautiful plants and butterflies surrounding the home. One day thousands of ladybugs emerged from a log down by the river and spent the day flying all over. They were completely gone by the next day, lending a magical quality to our stay. There are many extra features to this home as well. Games, art supplies, a hot tub room, and a wide variety of cool places to just sit and relax are provided. The kitchen has everything one needs, and there are two bbqs available. The beds were very comfortable and the home was clean. All aspects of this home are easy to use and provide beauty to those lucky enough to stay here.

Relaxing

We came to the area for our sons wedding and it was great spot for us to get away from the activities and yet be only 10 minutes away. The entire site was quiet and clean! and we were able to leave a few rocks behind!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

We absolutely loved staying at Rustic Pines! The house itself was beautiful, a three story (loft with full bathroom as the top story) masterpiece. Everything was so well thought out and we immediately felt like we were home. The kitchen has everything you need, as does the outside kitchen! The beds were very clean, comfortable and cozy. The TV with cable and DVDs provided was easy to operate. The game room was fully stocked with every game you could think of and more, plus old school arcade games and pool was so fun! The hot tub was so luxurious, with spa like water provided in the room. Easy access to the River for swimming, fishing, and floating (when it’s warm!) with tie up access was serene. It gave us the much needed nature pill we’ve been craving. This house seems like you’re miles and miles away from others with the realistic and convenient safety of being close to neighbors while maintaining privacy as well as just a mile or so away from the local restaurants, markets and gas stations and a few miles from countless delicious wineries. Easy to drive and navigate. The host provided us with tasting coupons and numbers for designated drivers. Very well thought out! We enjoyed their winery recommendations very much.

Awesome place

The house was clean had everything you need. Super cozy and the Spa was amazing! The dogs loved swimming in the river. Oh and the game room was fun, made us feel like teenagers again. Misty was fast on her response times. And made us feel at home. The listing is accurate. I definitely give it 5 stars.

Best rental so far!

This was our best VRBO stay so far. Everything about this place is nice. It's private, the river is nice, the hot tub is great, it's close to Placerville which is clean and friendly and has stores and places to eat. It's In a good location to hit many of the must see things. Friendly people too. The property host Misti was great to work with. Very quick to answer questions and help. Everything about the place is well thought out.

Peace, quiet, and a river

The setting is beautiful. Peace, quiet, and a river. The house itself is great, well suited to 2 couples as the bedrooms are on the 1st and 3rd level with the main living area on the 2nd level. The outbuildings (hot tub room, game room) and river make this a true getaway. On our visit, there were a few things that needed attention (e.g., dishwasher soap did not dissolve, bbq burners did not all light), but these did not impact our enjoyment of the place, and the hosts appreciated our letting them know so they could be addressed after our visit. The hosts, Misti and Steve, were very attentive, and their communication before and during our stay was excellent. The setting: Very peaceful. Very beautiful. Very private. Hanging out on and next to the river provided much needed relaxation. The enclosed hot tub room was very inviting, and our only regret is that we didn’t get around to using it. Overall, we had a wonderful time, despite some small challenges that we know the hosts will be on top of. We would return in a heartbeat!

The private river and mountain setting are very peaceful. In the summer it is set up perfectly for the outdoor camping lifestyle and winter it is cozy inside to just rest and relax. The added game room and hot tub always has plenty to keep you busy.

There is another outbuilding with multiple rooms that has a hot tub with a tin roof (perfect for rainy days), separate rooms with a pool table and foosball table. Kayak and fishing on the river or just a nice place to BBQ with friends and family.
