Great house for reunions

We enjoyed the place. Large, very well equipped kitchen, large dining table seats 16, bedrooms and baths quite comfortable, game room, TV room worked well for various, simultaneous activities. And fabulous beach within easy reach. Loved it!

Golf Weekend

Had a great weekend at this home. Plenty of room for 15+ people to enjoy all the amenities it has to offer. The pictures don't do it justice. Golf, Beach, Restaurants and Stores all very close!

We had an excellent vacation at 16 Mallard. The house has everything for families with young children as well as teenagers. The kitchen was a great place to cook in and had everything you could need. The outdoor area was amazing and we really enjoyed the pool and spa. Great house for multiple families!

We had 5 couples and 7 infants/toddlers. Really cool house with plenty of space, nice kitchen, great pool, game room, and big tv room that was perfect for the kids to roll around in. Location was phenomenal. Easy 5 min walk to the beach. Host was responsive and helpful.The one thing I wish I knew (maybe I missed this in the listing) was that one of the king bedrooms is buried within the master bedroom, rendering it relatively useless. The 5th couple to arrive had to stay in one of the bunk rooms. Despite this, everyone really enjoyed their stay. Overall, I would absolutely recommend staying here. It’s best for 4 couples with older kids to make use of the bunk rooms. For infants, there was either a crib or sufficient space for a pack n play in every bedroom.

Stayed at 16 Mallard over...

Stayed at 16 Mallard over Labor Day. What a wonderful getaway! Private pool and hot tub are the perfect way to relax and the beach is only a 100 yards from the front door. The owners have really done a great job with all the furnishings/amenities and every room has an HDTV. I've already booked my stay for next year!

Great beach vacation

What a great week we had at 16 Mallard. The house was great and fully stocked with everything you need. Terry was fantastic and always available. We spent a week before this in NC outerbanks and this blew it away. Great all around and beach was the most beautiful a we have seen 3 minute walk. Thanks so much.

Vacation for Extended Family

We booked this house because it could accommodate 6 married couples, 6 single college age adults, and 3 children under the age of 2 to celebrate the family matriarch's 85 birthday. We selected this house because we could all stay in one house. The house had a nice poole and a wonderful fully equipped kitchen suitable for the discriminating "chefs" in the family. We were very pleased with our selection and intend to rebook this home again.

Large family vacation

The house was fabulous! We utilized the outdoor cooking facilities every night. We had been to HHI many times so it was wonderful to be able to enjoy the amenities of the house. Awesome pool and common areas (we had 17-20 adults in and out of the house) with room to spread out. The house was also very well equipped. Just bring your swim suit! Would definitely rent again.

The house is very spacious and accommodated our group of 12 nicely. I rated 4 due to small oven.

It was strange. I found the home listed by local company and they were in able to rent for full week. However when I went thru the rental process on VRBO, I was thankfully able to rent for the days needed.

Best Vacation Home in Hilton Head

this is without question the best house we have stayed at on Hilton Head Island. We have stayed here four years and love it. We have a large group, the annex is great for teens. Lots to do at the house, fabulous pool with a wading end for little ones. Chris is a great host, if there any questions or concerns, he addresses them promptly. The kitchen is a delight for the gourmet cook, super gas stove, built-in steamer! I highly recommend this home, and we will back again in the future.

HH Bacay 2022

Our annual family trip with our five adult children and 6 grandkids was enhanced through all the fun around this home! The pool was great, outdoor kitchen helped make easy yet tasty dinners and the game room was a hit with our grandkids and adults alike! The spaciousness of the home allowed plenty of room to spread out AND be together for game night! Highly recommend for large family and or friends group!

Awesome Home, Great Location, Marvelous Vacation

My daughter graduated and we headed to 16 Mallard for a combination Family reunion/Graduation celebration. We could not have picked a better property. It easily accommodated our group which t one point reached 18 people. What a great house. So well stocked. Great Backyard and pool. Plenty of space. This was our first trip to Hilton Head and we fell in love with the place. A lot of that was due to this marvelous house.

Spring Break

This vacation home is definitely "incredible". The pool and hot tub are great and they were perfectly heated to 87 degrees. Sitting at the outdoor fireplace was fantastic. The house was clean and organized with everything labeled and easy to find. The beach was a very short walk away and town a quick bike ride. The owner provided clear information needed to use all of the homes amenities. The sound system was top notch. Kids loved the game room and theater. Thank you Jann family.

Beautiful House - It has everything you look for in a vacation

This house really exceeded any and all expectations. The area behind the house is an oasis - it has a great patio area perfect for barbecuing and soaking in the rays. The pool is great, and it even connects the hot tub, which sits directly below the patio. This house is great for any large number of people, whether you are a group of friends or a large family. And it even has a game room downstairs for kids, including a pool table and an arcade-style basketball shootout challenge. 16 Mallard is as good of a bang for your buck as you're going to find in North Forest Beach.

HH for first timers

The house was a great size for our group of 15. The location to beach and town was nice and walkable. The pool was enjoyed very much by our little people. The advertised use of spa(which was very dirty) and elevator(which we chose property for an 88 yo) had hidden costs which we were not expecting. The overall experience was ok and or group had a good time but we felt the house could of been cleaner and maybe could use some updating.

Awesome House for Multiple Familes or Large Groups

We stayed at this wonderful house last weekend for a girls' getaway. There were 8 of us and the house was not crowded in the least. It's a short distance to the beach and to Coligny Square - where there's a Piggly Wiggly grocery store and many re.staurants and shops. We're very picky ladies and everything aspect of the house was amazing. We didn't even get to the basement to use the pool table and other games table while we were there. I personally met the owners and they are extremely nice people and very easy to work with. They pay a lot of attention to detail throughout the house. I could go on and on, but I don't want it to be booked next year when we return next year, since we decided we had to visit at least one per year!

Great home for large groups

Our annual vacation group has been coming to HHI for the past several years, and since we needed more room, we found 16 Mallard to be a great home with lots of space for everyone to really enjoy. The kitchen is absolutely fabulous and is so well stocked with cookware, serveware, Tupperware...made us feel like we were at home in our own kitchens! The pool and spa were just perfect for relaxing, and the short walk to the beach was so simple. The front and back porches were used every day and were a great place to start and end the day. The upstairs master was a bit unusual since it includes 2 bedrooms and a shared bathroom but it will work. We had a couple of small maintenance issues and the response time and fixes were both outstanding. We would love to come back next year, but the very large rate increase just won't allow it. We truly enjoyed this beautiful house. Thanks, Jann family for sharing some great accommodations!

Family get together

This home could not have been more perfect. There were so many things exceptional about this home that it would be hard to list them all. We certainly appreciated all the attention the owners have given to making it easy and enjoyable to spend the week there. (Labeling lighting, dimmers, plenty of refrigerator room, ice machine, sound system, great game room, modern and up to date on everything, etc, etc, etc. The pool was perfect with the beach like shallow end for little ones and large enough to accomodate large groups. Wonderful, private backyard with plenty of seating for relaxing and watching the kids in the pool. We were more than pleasantly surprised with the accomodations considering we just could see pictures from the internet. The beds were wonderful too... Wished we could come each summer. But if we ever make it back to hilton head, we will definitely check with you. Thanks again.
