Tarpon is a bright & beautifully decorated one bedroom unit with a professional kitchen, spacious backyard & patio. The patio has a grand fireplace and outdoor kitchen. Located on the ground floor of a two unit duplex on Folly Beach, Tarpon provides its guests with peaceful garden views and an opportunity to unwind & relax. Tarpon is perfect for a couple's romantic getaway, a friends' getaway or a small family vacation  This is the groundfloor apartment with Chef's Kitchen and large yard.

Cozy little place with all the things you could possibly need for a beach stay. We came with our toddler and 2 pups and was great for 3 nights. About a mile from downtown folly and just a very short walk to the beach. Would stay again

The property was quiet, close to beach, and beautiful landscaping with very adequate outdoor options. The interior was very well equipped, clean and spacious for our needs. Although we originally were bringing a small dog, our plans were changed. It was very suitable for a dog.My only suggestion, is that there could be a central notebook with the household information in one place.

Folly Beach Trip

We very much enjoyed our stay at Folly Beach and Tarpon beach house was perfect. The owners had graciously appointed this property with everything we could have possibly needed and more. It was sparkling clean, comfortable and just what we had wanted. We stay in a lot of places, and this one was among the best.

We loved staying in this adorable property! The home is so very comfortable and inviting. Everything we needed was there for us to use including two beach chairs and an umbrella. The back yard is beautiful and there was plenty of space for four of us to stay comfortably. The beds are soft and offered a wonderful night's sleep. It was easy to get in touch with the owner. We would love to stay at this property again!

Great location near the beach

We enjoyed a long weekend at Tarpon. The location is perfect, far enough from the bars and restaurants so you can enjoy quiet evenings and only a block from the beach. The house was well stocked and very spacious for the two of us. A great experience all around!

Great find...

We had a great stay at Tarpon. Patricia was such a gracious host and was immediately responsive to whatever we needed. We loved the privacy and spaciousness of the backyard. The location to the beach and it's proximity to town and to Charleston were prime. We hope to be back again.

Perfect spot to surf and hang

Great location, a block and a half from the beach, Nice surfing spot. The outdoor grill is super nice, as is the full kitchen and stove. We cooked and surfed and hung out on the front porch in the shade. Very easy and comfortable. The hosts gave us all the information about where and when to shop, a fresh fish market, etc. We didn't even have more questions after we arrived because they were so thorough in their initial communication. Super easy place and beautiful beaches.

A perfect stay for our small family

This rental was perfect for our family of 3. While on vacation we don’t like to eat every single meal at restaurants, and this cute little cottage has a fully equipped chef’s kitchen! It’s too far to walk to the main retail area of the island, but parking here is never a problem and it’s generally quieter. My son loves the beach and found several small fossilized shark teeth! Would definitely stay here again.

The complete package!

Fantastic duplex apartment one block off the beach and five minutes from the Pier and activities. Homeowner has thought of and provided everything from umbrellas to shell collection bags, full chefs kitchen and an abundance of towels blankets extra sleeping areas, games books and amenities! Excellent communication and very flexible and accommodating when we had to reschedule due to the hurricane during our first planned stay. Thank you for a lovely worry free stay, 100% recommend!

Kick off summer getaway

This was our first time to Folley Beach. I instantly fell in love with the area. The Tarpon is a really cool, eclectic beach cottage. The host literally thinks of every detail of things you might need. The section of the beach you have access to is beautiful. I liked being further away from the pier to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the beach. The downtown Folley area has so many choices for great food and live music. I highly recommend staying at the Tarpon if you are looking to experience the Folley Beach relaxed vibe.

Everything you need

This home on Folly had everything you could need for a great beach trip! The house was stocked with towels, beach chairs, and a full kitchen. The backyard is large with a meticulous lawn that was perfect for lounging in when the beach got a bit windy. It was quite literally a 2 minute walk to the beach on my new favorite block on Folly - not crowded at all. The owner was a gracious host and answered all my questions throughout our stay. It is clear they love their home and I now do too!

Lovely apartment and close to the beach!

We had a wonderful 5 nights at Tarpon! The apartment was a great size with plenty of room for the 2 of us and our 2 small dogs. The kitchen was amazing, and we didn't lack for anything during out stay. The apartment is very comfortable, and we enjoyed sitting on the back patio in the evenings. It's a close one-block walk to the beach, and we used the beach chairs provided each day. We will definitely stay there again!

This is a lovely space!

The kitchen is fantastic. The sunroom/ enclosed porch looks out on a really beautiful garden setting with large trees( palm, pine and live oak) Nice sunlight morning noon and night. Plenty of parking Very comfortable 🥰

After years of working in multiple award-winning restaurants and four-diamond properties, I am enjoying my retirement on Folly Beach! I love sharing my home with wonderful people who love to relax in the sun with their toes in the water. I grew up in Belgium working with my mother, flew across the globe as a flight attendant, opened my first restaurant, The Fish Trap, on the island of Anguilla. Upon some life changes, I lived in Bedford NY and eventually moved to New York City to manage restaurants. Now I am enjoying living near my children and grandchildren.

My garden apartment is perfect for a romantic couple or small family to enjoy Folly Beach!

Guests enter Tarpon by walking down three exterior stairs on the E. Cooper side of the house to the front door. Once you enter the home, you will find a dining area that comfortably seats 8 people; a comfortable lounge & seating area; a large, well-stocked cooks' kitchen; the bathroom with a combined shower/tub; the bedroom with a queen size bed and another living room / seating area. Other than the three exterior steps, all of Tarpon is located on the same level. Off-street parking on the driveway for up to 3 cars is included in the rental rate.

Please note that there is another unit upstairs. You may see or hear people entering and leaving the upstairs unit. Please respect their space & privacy. Tarpon guests share the outside shower
