We welcome you to the new Hale Kona Kai 413, where luxury and paradise are offered in perfect harmony!

Hale Kona Kai is an intimate, absolute oceanfront complex of 39 one-bedroom condominiums. Located at the edge of Kona Town, it is off the main road providing for quiet, ocean-view relaxation from every unit. Located just south of Royal Kona Resort, excellent dining at Huggo's or Don the Beachcomber's is a short distance away and other restaurants are just a bit further. You will find the white sand of Honl's Beach less than a quarter mile to the south and the Kona Farmer's Market just a half mile to the north.

The complex offers an elevator providing easy access for everyone. On the ocean side, you will find a heated saltwater swimming pool and a barbeque at the south end of the complex. Each floor has coin-operated washers and dryers for your use. Each condo does not have its own washer/dryer.

Each unit offers assigned parking, secure WIFI, & cable TV. All units, including lanais, are non-smoking and Hale Kona Kai is a non-smoking facility.

It was a perfect condo. The view was incredible, host prompt with communication, condo clean and well stocked, in a great location to walk into Kailua-Kona.

Nice place to stay

It is a nice place to stay - the location is great, on the water. Unit could have been a bit cleaner.. Comfortable furniture and a great bed. Not fancy but very close to downtown Kona

Wonderful stay in Kona - Perfect views, comfort, and service

Everything was perfect! It felt like being out on the ocean on a sailboat since the condo is surrounded by the ocean on 3 sides! And great service from Taina, Alika & team :)

Great location!!

No doubt about it, this is a room with a view. The condo was nice but could be so great with some upgrades. We really enjoyed our stay there and knew if we needed anything we could always get in touch with someone.

Perfect location and the best unit!

This is not the first time we've stayed in this beautiful unit. I booked this trip for my Parents and they just loved it. The view is spectacular and the location of the complex is just perfect. 100% recommend.

Premier Hale Kona Kai Unit

I've stayed at HKK 6 times, including other corner units. Wit the northwest facing wrap-around lanai on the top floor, this is the best location there.

Had a great time, as always. Great lanai & sunsets. As for the unit, kitchen supplies could be much improved, a half table on lanai as well & shower safety bar would help. Our Thanksgiving was great in any event!

Unit 413 was not only extremely clean, it has the best view in town! The unit was well supplied and was a complete pleasure to stay there. Fixtures could use a little updating, but we will never stay anywhere else. Nice complex, nice pool and all the hired help could not have been nicer!

3rd Stay in Hale Kona Kai Unit 413

We love staying in unit 413! Yes, it could use some updating and better pots and pans and coffee pot, but when you step on the lanai you completely forget about those minor details. Bed is very comfortable and living room area works for us as well. Love the staff at Hale Kona Kai as well! We will be back for sure!

The view - fantastic

The overall look of the unit is clearly dated and needs a pretty big refresh - but that’s only cosmetic stuff. The important stuff, like cleanliness and how well things work, is just fine. The view is great, the parking is easy, the pool is nice; plus it’s an easy walk to town. Glad we stayed here.

Perfect Location

We had a great vacation with this condo as our home base. It was clean, comfortable, and just as described - no surprises. We had all of the information we needed and our interactions with the management representatives were very good. The location of this property is perfect - a very short walk to shopping and really good restaurants. I cannot imagine finding a rental with a better view in all of Kona. The view is spectacular! Be sure you plan your days to enjoy every sunset from the lanai.

Hale Kona Kai #413

Have been in this unit twice now and it has served me well both times. While the decor is a little dated this doesn't bother me. The view, the location and the cleanliness more than makes up for this . At least for my purpose. Everyone is always very helpful and friendly around the building.

Dirty and derelict

On the plus side the view really is fantastic, great to be right on the water and you can hear the waves. However the property is falling apart, the shower is really quite derelict and the bed is extremely uncomfortable and overused. Save yourself the heartache and stay elsewhere.

Paradise Blessings

Our top floor, corner unit was convenient, quiet and afforded us beautiful vistas. Each morning we greeted the sunrise on our lanai, watching the waves crash on the lava rocks below. At any time of day we could watch sealife on the rocks and tide lagoon including crabs, brightly colored fish, and turtles! The unit was well appointed with all the conveniences of home. Each night we were gently lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean below our window. What a great time of blessing in paradise - we plan to return.

Nice but could be a bit better

This condo is in a great location. Walking distance to most amenities. The room itself however could really stand to be upgraded a bit. Only 5 coffee cups, 6 forks. Really ? No Netflix ! Really ? Otherwise it was fine.

Great location. Fully equipped.

We loved the unit, view was OUTSTANDING! Everything we needed was provided. Positive suggestion regarding flooring: cracked tiles NEED replacement, if shoes are off , you could CUT your foot on those large cracks.Carpet appeared dirty, needs shampooing or replacement. We would have given 5 stars except for the flooring issues. Mahalo

Quiet little gem

I love these condos, nice unit 413. It is not new, but clean, and a beautiful view. This was the first time we did not overlook the pool and it was OK. We watched the surf and the small lagoon at the Royal Kona next door. These condos are close to town, great views and a nice pool to sit around. Do not recommend these condos for big groups or kids. It is a quiet, romantic place. I love Kona Now's Adeline and the staff on site. Always clean and everything works. Aloha

Again, we had a nice

Again, we had a nice visit to Hale Kona Kai 413 and the Big Island. After these many years of visiting it feels almost like home. I do want to suggest that the surface leaking bathroom faucets be repaired. It's not much trouble to wipe up the water on the countertop surface after using the faucets, but when things are left on the countertop, it can be a mess. See you next time. Max

Hale Kona Kai #413

My wife and I visited The Big Island for a few days in October, 2018. After a very warm greeting by Adeline Andres, we went to our unit. We we totally amazed by the view and the sound of the ocean. All of the pictures we have seen do not do the view justice. Although the unit is very much in need of an update, the unit had all the amenities needed and the dedicated parking spot under the building saved any problem finding parking. We had a great time and would love to return. Bob and Maryellen

Location, location, location!

We found the unit smaller than any others we have visited and stayed at. Felt like I was on a plane when using the bathroom. The lani is perfect, we were mesmerized by the tide pools just off the deck. Saw lots of fish, turtles, incoming and outgoing tides. Also the parking is perfect, close to the elevator for our coming and going. Lots of boats and interest on the water. Service was great, we called over the weekend and had personal response quickly. Sounds like there was work going on it the unit just below us, but only noisy during the day.
