High End Spacious Home in the best laid back part of Florida's Gulf coast. Right on the border between Venice and Englewood you are only a 5-10 minute drive from either and only about 15-20 minutes from Lemon Bay.

The home itself is only a short 3 minute drive to the closest beach (Manasota) and also comes with it's own screened in pool. Inside you'll find a beautiful modern look with 3 spacious bedrooms, 2 Living and 2 dining areas. Perfect for families and groups. Can sleep up to 10 people on beds and couches and plenty of inside/outside seating

Our stay at this property was ok but not great. The property photos and descriptions were not all accurate and/or as superior as portrayed. The property is located on a busy street (highway) with lots of traffic noice heard both inside and outdoors. The pool, although nice and well maintained, is not as big as seen in the property photos. The house in general is generally well kept, but is in need of some freshening up (renovation). Most of the closet doors were not functional and/or just missing. The main bedroom lacked proper shades or curtains allowing a blast of sunlight in the room in the early morning. The main suite bathroom doors were non functioning or missing. And although the living room spaces were big the furniture was small and generally uncomfortable. On the plus side, the kitchen and laundry facilities were good. And the homes proximity to the beaches and other community amenities was very convenient. WiFi access was good, and the entertainment options, whether TV or games, were plentiful. Check-in and check out were efficient. Overall it was a good not great mini vacation.

Luxury Home Close to Beaches

We’ve stayed in the Venice area for about 20 years and this was one of our favorite homes. It’s an easy, less than 5 minute drive to the nearest beach. The pool was heated to a comfortable temperature. YouTube TV was a nice touch so that we could watch March Madness. The owners were responsive with communication. We had all of the basics we needed for a five day stay. There were a few minor things that needed fixing, however nothing that created any issues for us to enjoy ourselves. Thanks for everything!

Spacious

We had a great stay. The house has beds for 6, plus 1 rollout bed, 1 air mattress, and 3 couches. Most of the week we had 7 people in the house, but the last two nights we had 9. We had most of what we needed in the kitchen, though some storage with lids would be nice. We loved the space and the decor. We used the pool and the beach stuff to go to Manasota Key Beach. The beach is a very short drive. We were also close to shopping (Walmart, Publix, etc. Definitely recommend Detwiler's, though - everything from there was delicious). Downtown Venice was a short drive, as well. The one con is it’s on a busy road. It's not ideal, but it worked out fine. Everyone slept well, too, so it didn't hamper our trip. There were a couple of items we found broken, but we informed the owner and he seemed responsive. I definitely would stay there again : )

Close to the Beach

The house is very nice. It was great having a pool to lounge in whenever we wanted. It was easy to get to restaurants and beaches, as well as being close to Venice downtown. It’s on a very busy road, but the owner put in a small extension to the driveway so that we could turn around and not have to back out to the street. The church next door wasn’t a problem other than their bright parking lot lights which they left on very late! We had an enjoyable stay.

Wouldn't recommend...

Pros: convenient to stores and beach, decorated nicely, multiple televisions, comfortable pillows, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, pots/pans, towels, laundry detergent. Cons: floors (sand on bathroom floor, crumbs under kitchen table) and pool dirty on arrival. pool was cleaned the next day after we arrived but I wouldn't let my son swim in it until then. The house overall, while decorated nicely, is unkempt. Holes in the walls, leaves in the gutters weeds between the bricks on the pool deck, bricks caved in on the pool deck. Furniture inside and outside the house is uncomfortable to sit on. The house is not in a neighborhood, it sits on a 6-lane street next to a church. You can't even hear yourself think when sitting outside. The church parking lot directly abuts the property (which is not in the description) the lights from the parking lot shine into the master bedroom ALL night long. The curtains and blinds on the windows don't block it out. The queen size bed was so uncomfortable my husband slept on the twin bed in the room with my son. The worst part was Wed.-Sat. (of a Mon.-Mon. rental) the church had work being done to the grounds.Cement trucks, lawn people, sawing/removing the old pavement and putting down new pavement. We drank coffee there in the morning then left until night. Luckily we were visiting a relative with a pool who lives in nice neighborhood. It was the most unrelaxing vacation I've had in a long time.

Lovely house with a warm pool

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! Pool was always warm and clean. 5 minutes from Manasota Key Beach. Plenty of sleeping space for our group of 6 plus our doodle! Highly recommend!

Spacious and clean home. Lots of room to relax. Kitchen had needed appliances. (Drip Coffee maker, ninja Blender). Most importantly, Michael was an expert host and most helpful, responsive and professional.

Beautiful experience. Every was so easy. Beginning with communication with the host , Michael. Always returned any questions we had so promptly. When we entered the beautiful house it was so clean and beautiful. We enjoyed the heated pool everyday. The pool temperature was around 87. So nice Kitchen had everything you need. You must get use to the traffic noise. We played music. Over all had a super experience. Hope to go back next year.

Great place minutes from the beach

This was a great stay - the host was quick to respond and very accommodating to our needs. The pool area was great - water was warm in the middle of October and there were enough towels for the four of us. A small downside is the location on the road. It’s on a major thoroughfare- but the backyard is very private so it balanced out. Would definitely stay again!

Great place!

Great place, great location. Michael is a wonderful host. He went above and beyond for me. We had 7 people in the house with a couple of dogs… very roomy! Close proximity to beaches and anything you may need while in town. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend Michael’s place.

Great stay!

Very nice home. Good pool and good location. Just off a highway is the only drawback. Can't hear any road noise once you are inside the home which was a plus. Only down side is the busy highway with getting out of the driveway. Would definitely stay here again.
