Downtown Friday Harbor!! (Cozy Corner Suite #4)

Located in the heart of Friday Harbor, this newly renovated unit is the perfect space for the adult day-tripper to go and explore all that San Juan Island has to offer and then come back and relax at night in this cozy studio.

Relax and watch a movie on the 32in SMART TV (guests are welcome to log in to their own streaming services account) or cozy up in the Queen-sized bed with a good book. The unit is situated with a kitchenette, complete with a sink, microwave, mini-fridge, toaster and coffee maker to start your morning off right.
The private 3/4 bathroom is equipped with a sink, toilet, and walk-in shower.
This suite has an in-window Air Conditioning unit.
This unit for 2 people is the perfect spot for those who want to explore during the day and relax at night.
The internet / Wi-fi at this unit should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing.
Internet Speed Test Results- Download Speed: 17.15 Mbps -- Upload Speed: 28.48 Mbps -- Ping: 33.6 Ms (Average of three tests that were conducted January 2024 using SpeedCheck Pro).

Off-street parking is available; however, the private parking space availability is a first come, first served basis. Street parking is available, street parking rules apply.

Location was great to walk anywhere in the downtown area. Clean and great place to relax at night after shopping, whale watching, kayaking and/or enjoying lots of food and drinks. Remember, you are downtown, people are working early in the morning so you can have a great visit, so be patient and kind. Would definitely stay again. Thank You!

Great Location

Very cute place! Very clean and close to everything. It is located on a busy street but the noise at night was minimal. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Only complaint was no local stations on tv.

Just right!

Everything about this small house was just right. The location was very close to downtown, but removed enough to be quiet. The price is affordable and the square footage is generous. We will definitely return.

Perfect for Couple

We found this to be the perfect place for our 2-night stay on San Juan Island. You can walk to the ferry and all the Friday Harbor shops. There is a free parking spot if you bring a car to explore the larger island. AC worked well, nice shower, comfortable bed ... everything we needed. Perfect size for a couple. Highly recommend.

Great location, limited amenities. Coffee for the first morning, small microwave, fridge, dishes and utensils provided. The only seating provided was two wooden backless stools. The bed had no headboard and was too soft to use as seating to watch a movie etc.

Very Clean

The bed was comfortable, parking close and very very clean. I appreciated the cotton sheets instead of the microfiber we usually get. And an A+ that the towels and washcloths didn't have any scents on them. In the am deliveries kind of noisy but ear plugs in the cabinet.

I loved that there was a mini kitchen complete with microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, glasses, cups and dishes. The shower space is a little tight but it worked for me. A full length mirror outside the bathroom door would have been awesome so that one could put on makeup while the other person is in the bathroom. We stayed during the off season; the other suites were empty so I could not comment on the noise level.

Decent but pricey - add up all those fees for accuracy

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beware of fees - they add up quickly. The rental was listed as $129 per night- seemed reasonable. Once you add in the $100 cleaning fee, the additional *Covid* cleaning fee, the “affordable island housing” fee & the unavoidable taxes it ended up being $250 per night. It felt a bit bait & switchy. Great location & as this was a VERY special commemoration I just sucked up and paid. It was prime season as well. Just be mindful & add up those fees before plunking down your deposit.

Anniversary adventure

Great location relative to ferry terminal, shops, and eateries. Bad location due to loading zone for Ace Hardware, dumpster and high/loud traffic from road & intersection. Very clean and easily accessible. Appreciated the early check in. Window AC is in a TERRIBLE location - nearly hit our heads every time going up stairs to door. Should reconsider locating this to the other window. Space size was nice although wish the shower was a bit bigger with all the voided space in the bathroom. My husband is tall and it was very hard for him to shower. Towels smelled as if they were left in the washer too long before drying. Strong musty smell, especially the face cloths. The biggest disappointment was the bed. EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Sat on end of bed to put shoes on and nearly sank to the framing. The mattress is super soft with zero support. We would consider staying here again if there was an upgrade to the mattress/bedding.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was centrally located downtown within walking distance to restaurants, sightseeing and the harbor. It was clean and minimally appointed with dishes, utensils a small microwave and a fridge/freezer. Coffee for the first night was provided but there were no other condiments such as salt or pepper. A major issue with unit #4 was that there is no comfortable seating either inside or outside the unit. There were two backless wooden stools at the small breakfast bar which were only sufficient for a quick bite to eat. This left the bed to sit on if we wanted to linger over coffee or watch a movie at night. Unfortunately, the bed didn’t have a headboard and was soft so it didn't provide sufficient support which resulted in it being uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. For our purposes this lack makes the unit unacceptable for more than a quick overnight stay.

AC is a great option for cooling the place down. Love having a little kitchenette. Bathroom is nice. I would definitely stay again! I researched my booty off and this was definitely the best find on the island. My only request is that they throw a king bed in there instead- there’s room! Loved our stay, thanks!!

Would not return to the Islands

The property was in a good location. The room was very small. The air condition unit protrudes out from the building onto the steps to the front door. While traversing the stairs my wife hit her head on the corner of it causing her to have to go to emergency for attention This did not make for a pleasurable trip to celebrate her70 th birthday. ☹️
