UNBELIEVABLE AND SO UNTRUTHFUL!! THESE People were looking for a refund the minute they walked through our door. TRAVELERS please read our other reviews that are all 5-star rating. Reading this review demonstrates their true character of looking for rebates at the expense of the property owner. Charlene knit picked every little problem she could find, including a dog barking.. Charlene called me suggesting for a refund as she received at her previous stay at a different location. However this did not work with me, so now she decides to give a 2 Star rating!! I truly hate to lower myself to your level, but this is totally absurd. First and foremost, the safety of our renters is paramount for us, and we are quite taken by this review. The concern of the small balcony from the Master Bedroom was not even mentioned to us by you or any other renters and every board on that balcony is certainly in-tact. This concern will be reviewed again and corrected if needed. Minor small tears in the patio screens were a known issue but are not around the door to indicate an intrusion attempt as assumed by Charlene. The screens are 20 years old and show normal wear. And as explained they are being replaced this fall. All doors and locks are in good working condition and checked after every stay. THIS is an OUTDOOR patio, and not part of the living area. Screens are NOT a security barrier! Security cameras are outside at every entry door as I also have cameras at my primary property. This is an added security measure and relevant with current homeowner practices. The use of outside cameras was specifically stated in the listing and the rental contract. Also stated in the contract is that there are no internal cameras while in renter’s use. The Community is private with one entrance. We have been staying in this community for 20+ years and know of no crime related Issues!! On the stated issue of problems with the lower room TV, this is a Brand-New TV, 1 of 5 in the home. We offered to review the unit on the 2nd day of the rental week, but Charlene did not want us at the property during their stay and we respected that request. We tried to troubleshoot the issue with Charlene but she became frustrated and stopped. Upon review of the TV after their departure it was found to be unplugged and restored to normal upon correcting the issue. We believe our listing accurately shows the size and excellent conditions of each room along with all the amenities. We have always responded quickly to any questions and inquires as stated by every renter, including Charlene, Even the fact that she sent text messages after midnight. Our rental rates are very comparable within the community and time of season for a 4- bedroom property. Upon Charlene’s departure we realized they had no respect for our property and left a total mess in the kitchen and bathrooms and broke several items. There were shoe prints all over the lower entry door where they kicked the door open instead of using the doorknob. This was very upsetting to know someone would treat another persons property like that. I believe I worked with Charlene on the reported issues without making excuses, however; these issues were not justifiable for the refund she was pursuing. We wish her the best of luck with future rentals, but certainly not with us. She obviously could not find happiness in a 10 bedroom mini mansion, so there you have it. My husband and I take a lot of pride in this property and are always doing improvements to keep it Wonderful. It is a very unfortunate to have people like this try to ruin your rating. I should of never accepted her reservations as she herself had 0 reviews.
