Walk directly from your front porch onto 100 feet of magnificent private beachfront on Great Sacandaga Lake in Adirondack park! The property has serene panoramic views of the lake, beach, nature & mountains that you enjoy from either of your two front decks. Our gradually descending property is rare on this lake and good for multiple generations of family to use safely and accessibly. This is truly a 4 Season Property! Included in your stay are use of our dock for swimming, firepit to roast marshmallows, 4 kayaks, a SUP, and a paddle boat. Within 45-50minutes of Gore Mountain, West Mountain, Saratoga, Great Escape, Lake George, and 30 minutes from Oak Mountain . Ride your snowmobile right onto the Lake from our backyard during the winter. Walk to the quaint town of Northville with a beautiful historic village full of gift shops and restaurants. The local town has everything you could need.

The Malfettone lakehouse is a perfect family getaway. The owners are excellent to work with; really great communicators. This was our 5th year staying here. The private beach is great. They add a new upgrade or amenity pretty much every year and take great care of the property. We always look forward to our next stay as soon as we leave.

Very nice weekend lake home. Great view and excellent waterfront. My kids were down at the beach the entire 4 days of our stay. Owners provide beach umbrellas, sand toys, and a cart to haul it all in - plus plenty of Adirondack chairs for seating at the waterfront. I used the owner provided kayak one morning for a few hours to fish up the shoreline north of the house - caught 16 smallmouth, 4 of them lunkers. We had s’mores in the firepit at night and sat around enjoying the cool breezy evenings. Great stay overall.

Great Family Getaway

Beautiful property. We loved everything about the house and the surrounding area. The owners gave us great suggestions on activities. We kayaked, paddle boarded, hiked and even saw a rodeo. We will definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

Another year, another memorable stay

This was our 3rd year renting the Malfetone's Lake House at Sacandaga Lake. We were able to rent it for a couple days more this year than we had last year and it was well worth it. Communication with the owners is always prompt, helpful, and friendly. The house/property is always well maintained and clean. It has become a very special place for our family.

Keeps getting better each year

Every year there is some improvement to the property, previously they updated the fireplace, then added window ACs to top floor, this year there's new landscaping. It's a great place to get family together and we always have a great time. The owners are wonderful to work with; they're very quick to reply. We hope to stay longer next year.

Picturesque lakefront with great beach

It was a pleasure dealing with Brian. The house info was clear and included everything needed for a comfortable stay. He responded quickly when questions were asked and was very accommodating. The home is lovely and furnished with a clear adirondack flair. The 2 private bedrooms off the main living room and and an open plan primary bedroom, office and and kids sleeping on the 2nd floor easily accommodated our family with room to spare. The wide beach and more beach equipment than we could use (kayaks, paddle boards, floating water pad, games, beach wagons) it was a perfect ascape forour family members young and old. Water shoes are recommended for the pebbly beach and shoreline. We also recommend the farm store in Northville for its freshly made cider donuts and delicious pies the 2nd floor. area in the 2nd floor

Amazing stay!

This was the perfect getaway to introduce our west coast family to the adirondacks! There was plenty of room for our families and grandparents. We couldn’t get enough of the beach and scenic views. Everything we needed was right there for us. Most of our stay was very quiet and peaceful with some liveliness from neighbors on the weekend. The town of Northville is very cute and we loved walking around! Highly recommend booking a stay here!

Even better the second time

Brian and Joann are great hosts; very responsive and clear communication before and during our visit. They have made some improvements since last year; the renovated fireplace, full 12-cup coffee maker, and AC on top floor. I think the house was even cleaner this year than last year! They clearly care about the property and as long as all guests are respectful of that this will remain a delightful place to visit. Our children really enjoyed finding hidden treasure on the way to the beach too; that was a great surprise. We are already looking forward to visiting again next year!

Fantastic Find

What a PERFECT family get away! The house offered everything we needed for our family vacation. It was clean and equipped with everything we needed especially for fun out on the lake. The property is just a short bike ride from town and the beach and beautiful view of the lake was the perfect back drop for a week of fun in the sun. The kids enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boat and paddle board every day. While the lake side gets the setting sun we enjoyed the shade on the back porch for grilling out nightly. Brian, the owner, was fantastic about communicating with us as well. I can’t recommend renting this property more. We will most definitely be looking to repeat our wonderful experience next year. We have rented various houses around Lake Sacandaga every summer for the last ten years and this by far was the best property yet. Thank you!

Relaxing stay for families

The property was very clean and well maintained. We have a toddler and my SIL has a 5 year old. We were able to sit and enjoy ourselves while the kids played in the sand and splash in the water. The weekends can get busy on the water and in surrounding homes. The kids enjoyed watching the boats. During the week it is quiet and peaceful. We rented a pontoon one day at a local marina and went to Sand Island, totally worth it! The owners were communicative and we were able to reach them with any questions. Highly recommend!

Perfect lake house family getaway!

The house was very clean upon arrival. Brian and Joann (owners) were very responsive before and during our stay with any questions we had. The newly renovated upstairs bathroom is amazing and the brand new grill was sweet to use. The house was very comfortable for 6 adults and 2 small children. The 2 level deck overlooking the lake makes for a great place to relax and enjoy the sunset after dinner. The location is great; feels secluded but very close to Northville for shops, Stewart's, Village Scoop Ice Cream, and Grandview Mini Golf. Kitchen is well appointed with all dishes, utensils, nice grilling utensil set, toaster, microwave, blender, huge gas stovetop, and dishwasher. Only note is where the listing says coffee maker, it's a Keurig; with 4 coffee drinkers in our group who are used to ~3 cups/day we decided to bring a 12-cup coffee maker with us; not a problem, just something to consider bringing depending on your group. I definitely recommend Brian & Joann's lake house; we love our stay!

Northville stay

The house was fully stocked and comfortable. Kids loved the twin bedroom! Beautiful master suite. We spent as much time on the beach as possible… so nice to have use of all the beach equipment, we set up for the day and carried on into the evening with a fire and hotdogs and s’mores over the fire. Loved having use of the kayaks and the kids played in the water and on the beach all day. Proximity to the village of Northville was ideal, we loved the shops and restaurants. Spent a day in Saratoga as well…location was prime! I can see how air conditioning would be nice but not a deal breaker. Great getaway, we will hopefully be back!

Fabulous Week

We all had a wonderful time in this well-stocked lake home! The owners were very responsive to any questions. After a fun day on the lake, we all slept well in the comfortable beds! A great family vacation! Tip: book your pontoon boat rental in advance. There weren't any available while we were there and we checked at several marinas.

Best Beach

We had an excellent stay. The house has everything you could wish for. We especially enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. The sandy beach was perfect for the children, and the adults loved sitting by the fire pit. House was very clean. Just wish there was air conditioning.

Picturesque Getaway

This home is stunning. The house was immaculate upon arrival and the hosts were very responsive. They left a lovely binder with menus and suggested activities in the area but there was no reason to leave. The backyard was an expansive sandy beach complete with dock, multiple kayaks and paddle board. No one wanted to leave! We had a really wonderful time. Thank you!
