Our extended family of 13 goes away to a lake house every summer and this lake house has been the best of all of them. The house accommodated our large family with plenty of space to sleep, watch TV, cook and hang out outside. The views are absolutely amazing from inside the house and outside the house. The hot tub, outdoor shower, ping pong table, and volleyball net were nice extras. We rented a pontoon boot and docked it at the house. The lake was so peaceful and quiet, very little boat traffic. It was so easy to communicate with Laura whenever we had questions and her recommendations for restaurants were spot on. I highly recommend staying at this vacation home. We will certainly look to go back!

Perfect lake house!

We loved being right on the lake in this gorgeous, well stocked house. We used many of the amenities and especially enjoyed the kayaks, use of the dock, and the lake. Everyone was comfortable in the rooms and the kitchen was great to cook in. The views are unmatched! We would love to stay here again, the host was very attentive and helpful throughout the whole rental process. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful all around

We stayed here for a family get away. The house is beautiful and has everything needed for an awesome vacation. There was plenty of space for a larger group. The grounds, outside sitting areas and access to the lake were perfect. We had a great time and the host was quick to respond to any inquiry. Can’t wait for next year.

Beautiful Weekend by the Lake!

The house and property are gorgeous, my friends and I could not have asked for a better weekend by the lake. Plenty of space for a larger group! Would definitely stay here again (and most likely will!)

Ideal for our extended family

The house and location were perfect. Plenty of space, lovely views of and access to the water. The kids had a great time playing ping pong and games on the one rainy afternoon. The kitchen amenities were fabulous -- two fridges, and everything we needed to be comfortable cooking for the large group we were. Thanks so much!

Wonderful waterfront home with beautiful views!

We had a wonderful stay with extended family at this large waterfront home. The views and water access were spectacular - even better than we expected. The kitchen was well-stocked (it even had an air fryer!) and we appreciated the two fridge/freezer combinations (one in the kitchen and one in the basement). There are also two sets of washer/dryers which came in handy. We also explored some of the local area - Howe Caverns and Saratoga Springs, among other places. It really was a perfect spot for our family getaway and we'd love to return if we are visiting the area again.

Summer Fun

What an amazing home and location. The pictures don't do it justice! We had 2 families that stayed for a week in July. Plenty of room for both families to spread out. We enjoyed the swimming platform and dock and playing games on the expansive lawn. Plenty of sitting areas throughout the home to relax and take in the view or play games. Kitchen was stocked as if it were your own home which made cooking and meal prep super easy. Fridge availability was a huge plus with 2 full fridge/freezers and 3 additional small fridges. Also 2 full washer/dryers! Laura was very responsive throughout the process and check-in was a breeze as we were met by the property manager upon arrival. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!

Lake House Family Fun

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful house on the lake. Laura was wonderful answering our questions leading up to our arrival. The house had everything and more for all of us to have a wonderful time. We enjoyed the ping pong table and the spacious house to play games, do puzzles and relax. We took full advantage of the volleyball/badminton net, hot tub, fire table and making S'mores over the fire pit in the yard. The kids loved being in the lake and the swim platform. We enjoyed the kayaks and canoe and my grandson had much success fishing. I can't say enough about our experience.

Celebrated Mom’s 80th in style!

Laura’s lake house is absolutely incredible! We spent a long weekend celebrating my mom’s 80th birthday. We were a party of 10 and there was more than enough room to sleep and spread out. The house is furnished with everything you would ever need. We especially liked lighting the fire pit and using the hot tub every night. We also were able to rent a pontoon boat. Having our own dock made it super easy and convenient to load up the boat, and to get our elderly parents on. Nice touch to have all the spices and oils for cooking that you could ever need. It was a perfect weekend away, we would love to go back!

The perfect weekend!

Some friends and I just got back from a weekend at Laura’s house on Great Sacandaga Lake and I can’t say enough great things about our stay! The host, Laura, was extremely accommodating and responsive. The house is top rate, spotless, extremely spacious and beautiful. It has everything you will need. The back yard is as large as it looks in the pictures, and the view, just wow! The view is picture perfect, we could sit there from sunrise to sunset just looking at it. If you are looking for a lake house to rent, this is definitely one of the best properties you will find.

Beautiful property

We had a very small weekend wedding at this house and it was perfect. The views of the lake and fall foliage were beautiful and the house itself was spacious and well equipped. The kitchen is large and easy to cook in, and there are several large hang-out areas. We had fun in the large bar area downstairs and had a great outdoor fire in the firepit. The decks are awesome for hanging out and viewing the lake. Also the bedrooms were perfect. The owner was very quick to respond to questions and she was super accommodating! The only downside was that we eventually had to leave!

AMAZING rental property!!

My husband and I are from the south jersey area, but planned to have our wedding in the Adirondacks because my family has a place here and I grew up vacationing in the area my whole life. We found this house online and thought it was perfect to stay with our closest friends to celebrate the entire weekend. Laura and her home really went above and beyond the expectations of us and all our friends!! Everything was so perfect and we all had so much fun that us and our friends are already talking about wanting to plan another trip in this same house for a longer amount of time! The house is the perfect size for a bigger group of people. We loved utilizing the walk out basement and spending time just taking in the views outside. On our last day we rented pontoon boats and pulled them right up to the dock to pick up all our closest friends for the day! With our wedding and then staying here it really was a dream weekend, none of us wanted to leave! Thank you Laura for being sooo cooperative and great through the whole process! We will most definitely be back 😊

Peacefull City Get-a-way

This was an excellent VRBO experience. The house was absolutely stunning. The views of the lake were breathtaking to wake up to. Went with a group of adults and everyone slept comfortably with plenty of space and amenities. The host met us on the first day to do a walkthrough of the house and was extremely helpful ,friendly, and quick to respond. Great for a lakeside get-a-way and lake activities (kayaking, paddle boarding, etc). Highly recommend!

Awesome house and location

We had an amazing 3 day weekend stay. House is large with plenty of beds for large groups, lake and dock is easily accessible and the host was extremely helpful. Laura was easy to get a hold of with any questions and responded I. A very timely manner. Would definitely stay again.

I’ve rented HomeAway properties many times and this is hands down the best house and best owner experience I have had. The house is just plain set up for entertaining. The owner walked us through how everything works and was very responsive if we had any questions. Will rent this place again!

Where do I even begin? From the moment we booked, Laura has been the most incredible and helpful host. She even met us at the property to show us around and to answer any of our questions we might have. She truly wanted to make sure we felt at home. Fantastic house and vacation!

House and lake are fantastic! The house is very clean and spacious and beautifully designed. There is a huge yard and a very nice sandy entrance to the beach. The house has a ton of space for large groups. We had 6 adults and 8 teenagers and never felt on top of each other! The boys were all able to stay in the top floor in the loft room and loved it! The finished basement is amazing with the bar, ping pong table, couches, and a hot tub right outside. The kids played volleyball multiple times a day in the yard and went kayaking, paddle boarding, swam, etc. We all had a great time! There is also a grocery store very close by which comes in handy! The owner is very responsive and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. If you are considering this house - it is definitely a winner!! I highly recommend it and we would absolutely come back again!

Amazing Getaway!!!

This house exceeded our expectations, and the owner Laura was very accomodating! The house and view of the lake were absolutely amazing! Very spacious with plenty of bedrooms to accommodate our many guests on different floors (sound barrier for babies sleeping). The downstairs bar with walk-out doors to the hot tub and lake were perfect for the perfect ambiance. Looking forward to staying here again!!

Absolutely amazing!!

My family and I were blown away on how beautiful this place is. We were all pinching ourselfs because this house is unbelievable. Amazing House!

We rented this house for my brother's bachelor party and it was absolutely perfect. The house is on a beautiful lake, is incredibly well kept, and the owner Laura is terrific. She made sure we had everything we needed and everyone in our group had a great time. Plenty of beds, plenty of space, and the amenities in this house make sure there's something for everyone. The Hudson River Gorge is just up the road for some solid whitewater rafting and there is a great butcher nearby for all your BBQ needs. Would highly recommend it!

Perfect winter get away. Clean, spacious and amazing!

We rented this house for my 40th, along with a group of longtime friends and had a wonderful weekend. The house was spotless and everything was new and updated. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for feeding a small army. The bar and lounge areas provided no end of areas to congregate while the state of the art music system allowed up to stream our favorite music on both floors at once. The amount of thought and effort that went into furnishing and stocking the property is evident in everything from the abundance of towels, blankets and pillows to the beautiful lighting and cozy fireplaces on every floor. The owner was also extremely attentive and answered every question we had both before renting and while we were there. We will certainly be staying here again in the near future!
