Enjoy Paradise, Cozy Night, 5 Minute Walk to the Beach

We visited Fort Myers beach with a daughter who was looking for a home for her family. We fell in love with this house's bright, open and welcoming floorplan. We purchased it to do short-term rentals and to have a place for us to relax with family and friends.

The house was missing outdoor amenities (back yard had overgrown trees) when we purchased the house, we had a vision to make the back yard as inviting as the interior. Bryan spent 4 months designing and building a backyard that he and guests enjoyed relaxing in. Then Hurricane Ian hit and the house was reduced to outer wall, studs and a roof. The back yard was washed away by the 14-foot storm surge the engulfed the island. Every surrounding house has been torn down and new homes are being built.

Rebuilding the interior of the house was completed in February 2024 with Bryan acting as an owner building. He performed about 50% of the work and contracted out the rest.

We rebuilt everything focusing on our enjoyment of the house as we spend enjoyable time with family and friends throughout the year. The back yard was built back better with an oversized swim spa (16 X 8 feet), comfortable seating, fire pit, tanning chairs, eating/game table, swing set (for the grandkids), and corn hole. We added a heated outdoor shower for rinsing off after time at the beach.

Staying on the beach is a fun and different that staying off and making day trips. Traffic can be heavy at time due to restricted access. We provide 4 bikes for you to use to get around, you can rent more on the island if desired.

Our house is a 5 minute walk from the beach and we have all of the amenities you need to spend quality time there - chairs, umbrella, shovels and buckets, floating chairs, cooler, and a cart to carry everything in.

The open great room/kitchen floor plan and the inviting back yard provide comfortable space for you and your party to comfortably relax and play while enjoying your time at the beach.
