Beautiful Plumbago Villa - walk to everything!

Plumbago Villa is a beautiful villa on the west coast of Barbados in one of the best locations in Holetown. We are situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood at the end of a cul-de-sac next to a park yet only a few minutes stroll through the park to the beautiful beaches, bars, restaurants, shopping and members only Sunset Crest Beach Club.

In the spring of 2021 we purchased Plumbago Villa from a family who had owned the property for over 30 years. In the fall of 2021, we completed a full renovation to the main house including brand new kitchen and bathrooms, all new plumbing and electrical, tongue and groove wood ceilings, pot lights, draperies, new side patio roof and deck and all new stucco walls inside and out. We added a wifi mesh system which gives you excellent wifi throughout the entire property. As well, we did upgrades to both studio apartments. All 4 bedrooms have new mattresses and new 680 thread count luxurious linens. We installed safes in the master bedroom and both studio apartments for your valuables.

The property includes a single story main house with 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms (one is ensuite) and a separate two story guest house with two large self contained studio apartments, one on each floor. The property is ideal for families, extended families or friends who enjoy having their own space. All bedrooms have air conditioning. Note that the upstairs studio can be set up as 2 single beds or one king bed.

Our wonderful staff (manager/housekeeper, gardener, and pool caretaker) will provide you with outstanding service and property maintenance on a weekly basis. Andrea our manager/housekeeper is always available should you have any questions or concerns.

All guests will have access to the beautiful members only Sunset Crest Beach Club. This is a recently renovated property right on the beach with a large pool, lounge chairs, washroom and shower facilities and lockers (bring your own lock) located just a few minutes walk from the villa.

Please note that our villa is in a quiet residential neighbourhood and most of our neighbours live there year round. Respect for our neighbours is imperative and loud raucous behavior (loud music, partying, additional guests beyond your immediate group) is not permitted at the villa.

As per VRBO disclosure policy, we have a Google Nest video door bell on the outside of the front gate that records activity on the street. It is the only video camera on the premises.

Excellent one week stay in Barbados, house is very well appointed and clean, truly a "home away from home" with. Fully equiped kitchen amd spacious and comfortable ensuite rooms. The independent rooms offer privacy if travelling with another family. All rooms are air conditioned and ceiling fans in all living areas make it fresh. The swimming pool is perfect size and it is cleaned regularly. The grounds are very well kept and lighted at night making the evenings pleasant. Wifi is fast / covers the entire property and TV has all the channels & streaming you would like. You are minutes walk from the beach and amenities in Holetown. Great communication with housekeeper and owners. I highly recommend.

Beautiful villa

The villa and garden area were beautiful, check in process was easy.We had a problem with the air conditioning which was fixed really quickly.The bedrooms were spacious, and beds comfy with the bedding being changed during our 2 week stay.The house is set in sunset crest, which doesn’t have a lot of night life, places closed really early but this could be to do with the time of year as it was the end of June into the start of July.The beach club was a short walk away with the use of the pool and loungers.

The perfect villa in the perfect location

Not our first time staying at this villa (3rd time staying there), but the improvements Mike and Pam have made have taken it to another level.Stunning villa and totally suited to separate couples or an extended family group as we were. Everyone had their own space.Andrea the housekeeper was fantastic, the villa is spotless and well equipped with everything you could possibly need.Holetown, in my opinion is the best location on the island.We will return and can’t wait to organise our next visit.Thank you so much for providing an amazing base for our family holiday.

Perfect villa

We had a fabulous time with our children and grandchildren in this exceptional villa. It really was home from home.We had an unfortunate personal incident happen while there and Mike and Pam were quick to respond with empathy and support, which was so sincerely appreciated.We would love to return some day.

Wonderful

Our family of seven spent 7 nights at the Plumbago villa. We had a wonderful time; the villa is cleaner than most places we've rented before, and everything is in very good condition, with comfortable beds and pillows. We've been pleasantly surprised of how well the villa was stocked with everything needed: kitchen ware, cooking utensils, plenty of bathroom towels, beach towels, floor fans, and even supplies that generally are either missing or scarce: plenty of paper product, plastic bags, detergent, etc. The only thing that we wish we'd had is heavier window coverings in some of the bedrooms. Pam and Mike are very prompt and accomodating. We had a great stay.

Simply the best

We had a wonderful holiday. The villa is as described, clean, spacious etc,etc, so many positives. Pam & Mike are great hosts, very helpful with queries and reply quickly. We have booked again before coming home, so that proves how happy we were.

Wonderful Christmas!

We have just returned from spending Christmas at Pam and Mike's wonderful villa in Holetown. It had everything we needed for guests of all ages : pool, great kitchen, lovely comfortable rooms, monkeys, herons and frogs! We could walk to the beach, the shops, the bars and the restaurants and even the golf course. Andrea (the housekeeper) was very responsive and flexible and Rennie (taxi/hire cars) was on hand to take us wherever we needed. We hope to be back and I'd highly recommend it.

Amazing house

What to ask more? Nothing. Thank you for sharing this beautiful house with our family. Exactly what you need for growing boys, private rooms with bathrooms. Everything you ever need. Beautiful house, near the beach and near all kinds of great restaurant. Quiet. Amazing pool! Andrea the manager was great on arrival, giving us a complete tour of the house and giving us advice. She even call in the mid stay to make sure everything was fine. A lovely lady. Thanks to the owner that answered all questions in a timely manner. It was a amazing vacation! Thank you

Plumbago

This was a great property for our family vacation. With the studio apartments it allowed space for everyone to have some alone time—if needed. The property was within close walking distance to the beach, some restaurants and grocery. Several other restaurants were close but a little more walking distance. Being part of the Sunset Crest Beach Club was nice but definitely was under utilized since we had the pool on the property—which was fantastic! I think this location has definitely upped our expectations for location, location, location. We had a family of green monkeys ( including a small baby one) visit the overgrown property next door and it was fun to watch their antics. Would definitely recommend this property for location and ease of everything. The hosts were very responsive and answered any questions we had.

The plumgabo villa is located at a convenient location, walking distance to the beach, restaurants, gas station, clinic, atm, and supermarket. The house was spacious and comfortable for my family of 6. Mike and Pam were great with communication. The pool was a great addition as well. I would definitely give my stay a 5 out of 5 star rating. My only recommendations to the owners would be to purchase a dryer for the villa, as my family and I had to line dry our clothing. Line drying is fine but unfortunately when it rained our almost dry clothing got wet again so a dryer would be a great addition. I would also recommend adding smart tvs to the rooms adjacent to the main house. Overall I would recommend staying at this villa. Thank you so much for your hospitality Mike and pam.

Great location

Very nice villa with all the necessary amenities! The location is a short walk to the Massey shopping center, beach, and many great restaurants. Andrea the house keeper was very nice, and responsive on any questions or needs. Who recommend this villa.

Fantastic holiday!

We loved our stay at Sunset Crest! We are 2 families and stayed in the house and one of the two other separate units - we hung out together when we wanted to, and had some privacy as we wanted also. The kids spent all their time swimming either in the pool on the property or at the beach just a short walk away. Grocery shopping and restaurants also very close walk away, yet the property itself is very quiet and has a real neighbourhood feel with the park close by. Thanks to hosts Mike and Pam for helping connect us to a driver so we could get around. Andrea was also responsive friendly and helpful. We loved our time and our stay, I highly recommend this property.

We all throughly enjoyed our holiday staying at the lovely Plumbago villa. The owners had thought of everything - the kitchen was well equipped, and the pool towels were a welcome addition. There was a lot of attention to detail to make our holiday home perfect. Andrea was kind and helpful. We would all love to return someday. Thank you!

We are a friendly and easy going couple who are parents of 3 wonderful children. We have traveled extensively around the world all our lives and have recently bought our dream vacation property on the beautiful and sunny island of Barbados.

We have been travelling to Barbados all our lives and chose this villa for its quiet, mature location and yet walking distance to the beach and town. This enables us to enjoy peace and quiet on our beautiful property or enjoy the beach, shopping and nightlife all with in a few minutes stroll through the park.

As well, with the two studio units, it enables our older kids and our friends to have the privacy of their own apartment.
