Our space has new furniture and is decorated in a modern coastal vibe! The location is unbeatable. Its just a short walk to great sunsets at the beach! We are within a couple blocks of the Mound House where you can launch kayaks or do their kayak tour. Walk just 5 blocks to the farmers market at Beach Baptist church every Wednesday and Friday! ***25 age minimum requirement for booking

Great home by beach

Home was perfect and as described. Just a couple minutes to walk over to the beach and quiet neighborhood. Spa was amazing and nice outside area to eat dinner. Host was very responsive with no delays.

Family girls trip

Clean and comfortable beach stay. Perfect for a group of teens and moms. Comfy beds! Kids enjoyed the bunk room and giant hot tub. Wonderful communication, was even able to recover a handbag one of the teens left behind.

Great house very close to beach

Spacious house less than five minutes from the beach. They had everything we needed including beach towels & chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and a wagon to haul everything. The lanai with large screen TV was wonderful - we could enjoy the outdoor feel while enjoying living room comfort. The host was very responsive. I highly recommend!

Comfy house

Our group was very satisfied with the quality of our stay. Lynzie and her family have done a great job of rebuilding after Ian’s devastation. The number one comment from the group was, the pictures online did not do the property justice. This is a great place to stay I would stay here again.

January vacay

Loved staying here and having a big kitchen and tons of space. Location is perfect to do all the beach things and we loved having all the supplies to go to the beach and just walk over. The owners were helpful and very nice. The hot tub was amazing! Was a little put off by the large cleaning fee for just staying two nights but the house would be great for large families. The beds were super comfy and everything was clean.

Girls Weekend

We came for a girls weekend and had the best time. The location, communication, clean beach-y vibe of this home was all perfect for our needs. We used the beach wagon, chairs & cooler that were in the garage beach day which worked out beautifully. We love FMB & will be back. Thank you!

Very relaxing

Soon after we got there,,we had electrical problems. AC,, stove,, microwave didn't work. The hosts were there very soon to check things out and it got fixed within a couple hours. We had an enjoyable evening celebrating a birthday!

Great family Spring Break trip!

Wonderful house for our family beach trip with small kids/toddlers. The house is on a quiet street 1 block from the beach. There was a high chair, beach wagon, chairs, umbrellas. The kitchen is nice but the cooking utensils/equipment is a bit skimpy (knives definitely need an upgrade). Grill was great and an outdoor dinner table that is shaded in the evening. Loved the screened front patio as well. Beds were comfy. Water pressure was weak. There was a busted window and missing smoke detector, but the owner was responsive. Overall a great place to stay and would stay here gain! Ft Myers is still very damaged from hurricanes but there are several places open and we were happy to contribute to the recovering economy there.

Great location! Just a hop and a skip to the beach across the street. A short walk one way and you have all the restaurants and such. A short walk the other way is a Publix grocery store. The kids rented bikes and we hardly drove at all which was nice after a 12 hour trip from Tennessee. Very impressed with how the whole island is working hard to recover from the hurricane. Lots of history (and sunshine) to soak in here PLUS.... the best pink gulf shrimp by the plate or by the sackful! We took 40 pounds home with us as a "souvenir". Our only regret is not being able to stay longer.

Property is in a good location. House was mostly clean. No privacy at all in the back yard and my biggest issue was there was not even hand soap to wash your hands. Not to mention much of anything else. So if your staying here bring everything and i mean everything. Over all okay place. When you arrive, the outside appeal is a little concerning but inside is just fine. If you wanna use the garage, there's room for luggage etc, but no parking and has a lot of fans etc for hurricane remodeling.

Grad School Reunion

We had 7 adults and one seven-year-old in our group. The space was perfect for us. We didn't use the nice screened in porch area because of the time of year. It was a little too warm because it doesn't get any breeze, but I could see it being a nice place for morning coffee or chatting in the evenings during the cooler months. It was a block from the beach, so we could set up our "camp" on the sand in the morning and then walk back to the house when we were ready to eat lunch. After a short rest, we'd head back for the afternoon. The restaurants on FMB are coming back and they really need support. I would definitely recommend this property for a wonderful beach getaway!

Amazing place

We stay at this property over the weekend to celebrate my husbands birthday. The house was incredible clean, cozy, excelente location and two minutes away from de beach. We loved it 😍 Lynzie was very helpful and very attentive to our needs.

Wonderful place close to the beach!

Excellent beach cottage that is a work in progress with some remodeling. The updates that have been done are awesome and the beds are very comfortable. Easily handled two families(6 adults and 3 kids) with varying ages. AC worked great and the spa/hot tub was fun to have. Super close walking distance to beach. Away from hustle and bustle of the pier, but close enough to enjoy those areas if desired. The trolley stop is a short walk from the house. We had a couple of little hiccups with booking and the stay, but Lynzie was very communicative and resolved the hiccups in a positive manner. A lovely beach cottage that we would definitely visit again. Thank You for sharing your slice of paradise with our families, Lynzie!! :)

JR’S getting hooked

The property was better than what was shown in the pictures. We had 9 guys and the house had plenty of room and a comfortable bed for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook big breakfast and a huge table for us to eat together. The grill outside was clean and worked great and there’s was a nice big table. The hot tub was huge and crystal clear a big hit with the guys. It was like we had a private beach just 3 minute walk away with chairs, coolers and towels even a football. Lynzie was an absolute pleasure to deal with easy check in and check out. We are planning on making this an annual tradition.

Perfect Getaway

This property was perfect for our spring break getaway with 3 moms and our kids ranging from 5th-11th grade. Despite the smaller size, there were plenty of beds/space and everything we needed. So many unexpected extras that really made the trip (beach chairs, etc). And the location was incredible! The beach was just a few minutes away across the street, and the trolley pick-up was a reasonable walk as well. We used the trolley (or rented bikes) when we did want to head downtown, but we actually liked that the house wasn’t close to Times Square. It was in such a cute, quiet neighborhood, which was great when we wanted to escape the busyness in town. We also had quick access to Publix and we loved the Farmer’s Market on Wednesday and Friday. The owners were amazing. Extremely responsive and helpful and kind. They really have thought of every detail.

Great stay! Great time!

We had such a fun trip! The house was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 3 little ones. We had plenty of room and the house was cute and clean. It was just a few minutes walk to the beach which was perfect with our babies. It was spring break, but the beach was not packed as it is not on the main beach. We felt safe in the area and at the house. Would stay again! Lynzie was great to work with.

Wisconsin girls getaway

We had a group of 8 stay for our 3rd annual FMB getaway. The highlights of this rental: hot tub and the screened in porch and HOT showers. Nice quite street, within good proximity of everything. The tram makes is easy to get downtown. Felt very safe.

Hi! We’re Lynzie & Ethan, owners of CHASING SUNSETS PROPERTIES.
We love to travel, explore new places, and create welcoming spaces for guests to relax and make memories.

Lynzie grew up in Las Vegas before moving to Florida at 17. She’s a licensed real estate agent, a musician (piano, guitar, and vocals), and passionate about all things home + hospitality.

Ethan spent his early years in West Palm Beach, later lived in Utah, and eventually made his way back to Florida. He’s a pianist, trumpet player, and published poet who brings creativity to everything he does.

Together, we have three fun, energetic kids who keep life full of joy.
We moved to Fort Myers Beach in 2020 and absolutely love island living. We first started hosting guests in tiny homes on wheels, and eventually purchased this beautiful beach home—our family home—before opening it for others to enjoy.
