Love Water Island!! Lisa was great! Loved every minute of the trip, the house, the beach bar, and the view is unbelievable! Lisa was great at communicating, very knowledgeable and informative. The people of Water Island was a plus! Will be back.

Great stay, location, and views

Great location and great view. Property was as expected. Host was responsive and very helpful. She addressed a couple of issues quickly that did not affect our stay. Overall great experience and would stay here again.

Wonderful in Water Island

We had a really nice time in Water Island. There were a few inconveniences with the house at first (getting hot water right, and bath drain plugs were full) and no beach towels/chairs were provided. But the host took care of house issues quickly. Overall a very nice place at a fair price. Good communication and support arriving from our host.

Spectacular view

We had so much fun at our little island house. It has everything you need and an awesome view. A short golf cart ride to Honeymoon Beach, which is the best beach on all of St Thomas/Water Island in my opinion.

Wonderful and relaxing

We wanted the view and we got it! We’ve been to Water Island several times and love staying on this side of the island. It was the perfect stay and we appreciate the owner accommodating our last minute request to stay! The house had plenty of room and everything is as advertised! Thanks again!

Better then expected. Home was updated from the pics. Lisa was very quick to respond to any questions. Warer pump went out on day 1 & was fixed on day 1. The views were amazing! Will definitely book here again!

Basic but good, communication with host not ideal

Bella Vita is exactly as described and pictured. Be aware it is a small studio, adjoined with a larger unit in the same home. The space was fine for me and my two kids. Very nicely and comfortably decorated with a comfy bed and futon, but small: a curtain for bathroom door and no bathroom sink. Communication with the host was, unfortunately, less than ideal. Our flight was delayed and I was afraid we would miss the last ferry so I called but got no response and VM was not set up. So I texted, but got no response. Also, the host did not email or otherwise reach out to let us know the door code in advance, or how important a golf cart rental would be. Fortunately, I had arranged to rent a golf cart anyway, and it was only through Beatrice at Rachel's Rentals (golf carts) that were we able to locate the unit. Then we had no way to get in, however, my son was able to guess the door code. Otherwise, we would not have been able to get inside the unit. Thank goodness Beatrice so kindly offered to drive us to the unit and call the host for us, because this is a remote location and there would have been no other option to return to St. Thomas or find another place to stay that night. Before we guessed the code, we were wondering if we would have to sleep upstairs in the other unclean, but unlocked, unit. Likewise, there were no instructions inside the unit to access the wifi, work the television (which we never could get to work), or work the air conditioner.

Beautiful home and beautiful location. That being said remember you are on a small island. We had a lot of issues with power going out and generator not working due to gas tanks being too small for unit. We had a lot of little hiccups mostly due to not being able to contact owner. Mostly seems to a communication issue between Lisa and her employees. All and all can’t go wrong with location, beautiful beaches and the locals are great. We will definitely be back to water island again soon!!!

Great time on Water Island

We loved our stay at this property! We had four people, and it was very comfortable. The views were fantastic, and we loved spending time on the patio. We also liked being close to Heidi's Grill and even joined in playing the local bingo game on Saturday afternoon. Next time here, we will stay longer than 2 nights. It went by too fast!

Water Island Vacay!

We had an awesome time in water island. I do wish that the listing gave more detail about the home being on the top of a very steep rocky hill and there being a requirement for a golf cart. The golf cart rental place sells out daily and we had to keep calling asking for cancellations daily. Luckily we were able to get a cart at the last min each day. It is NOT walking distance to nearby restaurants or bars or the beach. A cart is a requirement!! Also, I was unfamiliar with the island and didn’t realize I needed to take a ferry daily to go to st Thomas. The ferry stops running at 6pm so I wasn’t able to enjoy night life. The property Mgr did make me aware of these things a couple days before I arrived, which it was too late by then. Outside of that, the house and view was absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend! I will definitely be back! I’m now looking for a vacation property in StThomas!
