"Luna y Sol" offers an unforgettable experience in South Padre Island and within the Shores Community. Newly constructed in February of 2021. Beautifully decorated and appointed, this beach house has everything you need for a relaxing and care free family vacation. A Ground level house with an open floor plan and windows all around provide a positive atmosphere and refreshing feel. Views of the bay and island flora from every window.

Great location for kiters.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sol y Luna. The location was excellent. The Shores development is growing and buildings are popping up all over. The development is nice but the buildings that are a few years old are in need of maintenance. We did find it strange that we were only provided two rolls of TP for both bathrooms and one roll of paper towels. There was no soap for the dishwasher. Also there was no salt and pepper which is not something i usually think about bringing when I rent a home. Other than that the place was excellent.

Will come back again

This is the second time we have stayed in this house which should tell you how much we love this part of SPI. We arrived during a pretty severe storm and the property manager took excellent care making sure we got into the house without trouble. We had a small electrical issue and he took care of it immediately. The house was well kept, clean and spacious. Love love love South Padre!

Perfect family vacation stay in South Padre

House was perfect for us. Is north of all the vacation chaos of South Padre, but just a minute or two away. Was an easy walk over to the beach, the neighborhood pool was very nice, and the back patio overlooking the bay was great morning and evening. Home was well stocked, immaculately clean, and very comfortable.

Beautiful new home

This house is just as pictured, new beautifully decorated and perfect lay out for a getaway week end. Located on the bay, the beach access only blocks away across the street. Management was easy to communicate and responsive. We had a great time.

Winter Escape to SPI

We are two retired couples who were escaping winter weather. The property at The Shores was an elegant, new house right on the bay. Check-in was easy. Property manager responded quickly to questions about television access and a minor hardware issue. Although a strong cold front caught up to us (very cold and strong winds all of first day), when it cleared we were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic kite festival on the adjacent Bayside Beach. While being close to the Gulf was refreshing, for those who enjoy preparing meals on site we recommend bringing basic supplies like salt and pepper and dishwasher detergent. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Beach House Cottage

The property was beautiful, well maintained and very peachy looking. We had a great time, the only thing that went wrong was our bad timing of the year. Rained and rained, I think next time it will be a summer vacation, thank you for being an excellent host.

Beautifully quiet

My family and I, including grandma, had a fabulous time here!! The house is even more spacious and beautiful in person. Super clean and perfect for 7 people. I picked this neighborhood because it was away from everything. There was some construction going on next door and across the street. This may bother some, but you couldn't hear any of it from inside and even when outdoors it wasn't bad. It was still very peaceful. Workers left around 5pm and the entire neighborhood was quiet and empty! Perfect for people who hate crowds, like us. We had the community pool all to ourselves and could walk through the neighborhood streets and not run into anyone. Just lovely for someone who enjoys this sort of getaway. I doubt it will be this way in the next few years as rental houses continue to pop up. We're just so blessed to have been able to make the trip at a time of year before peak season and before the area became popular. The beaches were also very empty. Easy to "social distance" if you're worried about that sort of thing. The house was stocked with most all of the essentials. They provide you with almost a week's worth of shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry soap, etc. Towels are provided and they even had a bag of beach towels should you forget yours. If you needed more of anything you could easily buy a small supply at the local grocery store. Kitchen is stocked. Really you just need to bring the food you'd like to enjoy throughout the week and that is it. You could even come empty handed and buy your groceries once you get there. Express Check-in was awesome! Can't say enough about our stay. Would love to come back someday. Highly recommend.
