Waterfront House With Panoramic Views

Enjoy a relaxing vacation in this two-bedroom, two-bath beautiful waterfront beach house with remodeled kitchen and full laundry room! Sleeps 4 people.
Come and explore the many attractions & restaurants nearby our home!

We purchased our home in June of 2020 with only a short time to fully furnish and decorate in order to invite guests for the summer season. We were pleased to be able to have guest rentals in June, July, August, and September 2020.

We have made several improvements for the 2021 season including central air conditioning in the lower living area, new water sport items (kayaks, paddle-boards, two-person raft), and additional outdoor seating.
This beach cottage has all you need for a relaxing get-away. Our cottage is just a short drive to Newport, Rhode Island with many attractions and restaurants to visit nearby.

The property is located on the water, however, this is not a sandy beach.
There are many beautiful sandy beaches in Newport that are only 25 min drive away.

Wonderful!

Loved the house and the views on the water.Sitting on the deck in the morning with a cup a coffee was a beautiful way to start the day! Hearing the sounds of the water from our bedroom windows was a wonderful way to fall asleep at night. We had everything we needed and we would highly recommend this house and would definitely come back!

Amazing Rental

The pictures don't do this place justice. The house is much larger than I thought it would be. Not only is it a beautiful home, all the toys were a major hit (Kayaks, paddle boards, noodles, beach chairs, etc). This place was top notch and the owners were very communicative and helpful. 11 out of 10.

Great place

Steve and Sherrie are great. Their home is amazing. View and area is amazing. We love spending time there. You can fish off the patio, kayak, and swim. Short drive to Easton beach and plenty of local restaurants.

Amazing views

This place is a hiden gem. Beautiful views, fishing from the patio or kayaks, close to Easton beach, Ragged Island brewery is amazing. Golf close by, outlets are 40 minutes for those rainy days. Steve and Sherrie are amazing hosts.

Love this house!

We spent a week at this home and absolutely loved it. The proximity to the water makes you feel as though you are sleeping on a boat. The house was well stocked, and the location was great to walk to local restaurants and Island Park Playground. Highly recommend!

Lovely off season week by the water

We very much enjoyed our stay in Portsmouth! The views were wonderful, and the house was very comfortable. Sherrie and Steve are excellent hosts, and available via text whenever we had questions. The kitchen was very well stocked, and the available kayaks, beach chairs/towels, deck furniture meant we would have had everything we needed for a summer visit. Our teen daughter loved having her own space downstairs, and we loved the views from the master upstairs! There is even the perfect spot to do a puzzle with a view! A couple of notes- Both bedrooms are quite bright in the morning. If you are one who needs darkness to sleep past sunrise, I would recommend a sleep mask. If we had small children, we would have been disappointed that the tub was unusable (we didn't care). Also, the master bed is quite hard and VERY noisy. So sleep for us was not ideal..... Another nice touch is the office set up- my husband worked for a couple of days and was grateful for the desks and ability to close the doors of the space. Also, the beach is rocky, but holds lots of treasures! And lots of great restaurants within walking distance of the house. Portsmouth is a great spot, with easy access to Newport, Bristol, Narragansett, etc. We loved it!

Perfect House Perfect Location

Pictures don't do this place justice. The interior of the house is clean, open, peaceful, and beachy. The views are incredible from inside and from the top deck and the downstairs seawall. You see all Sakonnet River, Addams Island, Aquidneck Island, and the Tiverton/Little Compton peninsula. Things we loved: - One of the best provisioned / stocked places I've ever stayed there's lots of kitchen stuff, towels, bedding, kayaks, SUPs, great furniture, products, cleaning supplies. - You're a hop skip from all the best local areas - Newport, Tiverton, Westport, Little Compton, Providence (go over the Mt. Hope Bridge). - The views are amazing. - The interior is made for a group - open floor plan, open kitchen with bar, tall dining table, amazingly comfortable furniture, beautiful beach decor. - For our group, was great to put a family with teens in the downstairs, with two large beds and a fold out couch and their own bathroom. Plus a laundry room. - Nice local neighborhood vibe with lots of great locals type food within walking distance, and friendly neighbors. - A beach within walking distance, plus swimming off the back, if you're OK with seaweed, rocks, and some waves, which is how the locals roll. - Owners could not have been cooler and were super responsive. Did not micromanage. - We had friends over every day (not overnight) and the place was perfect. Only cons: - It was so windy a couple nights it was hard to light the BBQ. That's really the only con if you could call it that. BUT - it was very hot and humid so we really loved that seabreeze. We plan to stay again next year we absolutely loved.

Loved this house on the water. Super clean, wonderfully renovated, and inviting. Loved daily kayaking, biking in the area, and walking to two wonderful restaurants and ice cream. The hosts were very nice to work with.

Beautiful and Comfy Beach Cottage

This was our first time staying in Island Park and I have to agree with a some of the other reviews on this site -- some of the photos of this property do not do it justice. Sitting literally on the edge of the Sakonnet River with sweeping views to Newport, the Atlantic and beyond you'll feel like you are on a boat sailing along with the other vessels in the water in front of you. Not to mention the house is tastefully decorated in a clean, comfy, coastal style and updated with a large open floorplan on the main floor. (We have rented many beach houses and this one certainly checked all the boxes and then some.) The upper deck is perfect for grilling and outdoor dining as well as just relaxing with a favorite drink and watching the sunrise/set and amazing cloud formations float by. The lower deck is good for kayaking, sunbathing, and watching the waves lap ashore. We especially enjoyed that the house had direct swimming access and that it was fully stocked with all the beach and summer supplies you need for your stay. During our week, the humidity was low so having the windows open out to water was a great way to keep the house fresh and cool. We also enjoyed Island Park's quaintness with easy walking distances to Teddy's Beach, dining, cocktails and coffee, and short driving distances to many nearby tourist spots including Providence, Newport, Tiverton and Little Compton. The neighbors were very nice and helpful with advice on what to do if you had questions. The owners were also extremely friendly and helpful with efficient check-in and check-out procedures and text access during our stay. This house and location worked so well for what we were looking forward to with this year's vacation. We very much enjoyed our week and hope to be back again next year! Thanks to Steve and Sherrie for sharing their beautiful home!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was awesome and the coastal views from the home were amazing. We loved that we were walking distance to the beach, restaurants and coffee shops. The home was inviting, super clean and tastefully decorated. The owner was so nice and accommodating. The home had everything you would need and we spent many days relaxing by the water and enjoying the views. It was such a nice time.

Great stay

Our family had a great stay at Sherrie and Steve’s property. The house is very well equipped, newly renovated and well decorated. We enjoyed the wonderful views and kayaking and paddle boarding on the water as well as drives into Newport to see the sights. Everything was seamless and communication was great.

Very quiet area with many local restaurants and sites to see.
