Esta es la casa perfecta para una pareja o familia pequeña para disfrutar de las maravillas de la vida costera. Seguro que se sentirá relajado en nuestra pintoresca y tranquila cabaña. You pick a property for your vacation and you hope for the best. And with this cottage we really felt like we had the best, and then some. There were things that you wouldn’t think to ask for—like large windows that made you feel like you were on a houseboat, like the bridge that at night looked like a jeweled necklace, like the sunset that made us get back in time each night. A lovely place, and the hosts were great—very responsive and accommodating.

Over all it was a good experience. I’d suggest replacing carpets and upgrading kitchen utensils and equipment. Our enital thought was the unit was furnished with utensils and hardware attained from yard or estate sales. Location is very good, the deck was nice.

Amazing stay. Very clean/tidy without feeling sterile. Quiet neighborhood with no thru traffic. It feels like you’re miles away from civilization but in reality it’s only a short drive to stores/restaurants and the larger tourist areas. View from the living room is spectacular, with ample outdoor seating as well. The kids enjoyed swimming and the little pebble beach is perfect. Very easy communication with the owner. The guidebook at the house lists birds to watch for and we enjoyed that very much. Very detailed, information about the house was appreciated. There are several books there discussing haunts, history and everything RI that were fun to look through. The house looks small but the set up ensures privacy and space for all. Comfortable beds and furniture. I can’t say enough good things about this place and we definitely look forward to staying again.

A little serenity

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and loved it. The cottage is charming, with homey touches throughout. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was AC when the ocean breeze couldn’t compete with the heat, but we left the windows open when we could because you can hear the ocean from the living room. Speaking of the ocean, it is right there, just down some steps off the deck. We sat for hours, just watching the boats and birds on the water and enjoying the peace and quiet. We did hear and see neighbors, but everyone was respectful and quiet.Overall, this was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to coming back. If you’re looking for a little serenity, this is the right place!

Pleasant Week

The house was immaculate; the views from the desk were magnificent; and the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I ever had in a rental. The only fault we found was the road to the house was really not in good shape, with holes, and not very auto friendly. All in all, a pleasant stay.

Serene Retreat

We stayed seven days, I could have stayed a lifetime. The cottage is right on the water, a magical delight for a westerner from the high plains desert. We had a front row seat, spending hours watching the rhythms of the water and the sky. The cottage was thoughtfully appointed with items to really enjoy and partake of the place. On the first morning, watching the birds on the water I wished for binoculars and a bird book to ID the birds. I looked down and saw both, just waiting for me to discover them. I could go on with examples where the host anticipated my want, and there the items were. This is a place a family really loved (loves?) being in. It was a delight start to finish. The host was quite kind to me, facilitating the delivery of an important item so that it would be immediately available when I arrived. When he found out that our flights were delayed, he went to the cottage and turned on lights to assist our arrival in the darkness. Simple, thoughtful kindness to make our stay enjoyable. I would stay again at any opportunity. The kindness of the host and the magic of the place will bring me back.

Our Favorite Getaway

The cottage is clean, spacious, and quiet. The perfect place to go after a day at the Newport Folk Festival. This was our third year staying here and we hope to be back next year.

Oasis of Places!

We just loved this cottage! As advertised, it is located right on the water. And although neighboring cottages are nearby, the way it is laid out with fencing etc., it still provides a nice, private lot that allows you to sit out and enjoy a nice, peaceful waterfront setting. The inside of the cottage is also great. It is a bit of a throwback, decor-wise, but this added to the charm. And facilities-wise, we had all that we needed. We cooked 2 dinners during our stay, one inside and one outside on the nice gas grill. We found everything we needed and were very pleased. I highly recommend this wonderful cottage and will try to rent it again in the future.

Charming Private cottage

The location is beautiful and tranquil. The view from the livingroom and deck is surpassed only by the view from the Adirondack chairs in the back yard. Constructive comments from previous reviews on this cottage have all been addressed exactly as the owner's response implies. This indicates a host who is working to make a welcoming environment and it shows. The home is well stocked for cooking, though there are plenty of restaurants within a reasonable drive. There is a generous library with a wide variety of reference material to peruse. The king bed was very comfortable. The bay windows have indeed had screens added and the bathroom is updated and very clean. A previous review mentioned some stains on the carpeting, but the size and quantity were not sloppy or off-putting but instead indicate general use. One item of note, the bedroom was a little stuffy. The windows were hard to open, so we didn't and instead just used the AC on the fan setting and it was fine. Directions for entry and cleanup were clear and not laborious. This was a great trip and the hosts attention to detail made that possible.

Beautiful setting!

Quaint cottage that is well equipped and with the most comfortable King size bed! Wonderful location right on the bay, peaceful & private. Convenient to Newport, Portsmouth, Bristol and the coastal towns. We had a wonderful stay.
