Welcome to Union Gateway - Beautiful 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home at the entrance to Cottonwood Village in a fantastic convenient location in Salt Lake's Midvalley Fort Union area walking distance to several restaurants and shops. Cottonwood Canyons are a short 10 minute drive for accessing all 4 ski resorts and endless year-round mountain recreation. Freeway access is just 3 minute drive in all directions in Salt Lake valley. There are 7 additional homes you can pair this home with or rent out the entire community for large reunions or groups. Rent as many homes as your group needs and save!



You will love the park next door with a playground for kids to enjoy and the unbeatable Fort Union location near countless restaurants, premier shopping, and entertainment to enjoy. Located on the border with several cities including: Murray, Cottonwood Heights, and Sandy. Fantastic central location in Salt Lake City near everything!



This home is dog-friendly, with a $100 fee per dog. No cats. If you are planning on bringing your furry friend, please make the appropriate selection at check-out or inform us directly so that we may update your reservation accordingly. Maximum 2 pets allowed unless approved otherwise (please contact us for approval). Failure to notify us may result in a fine of $500. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a pleasant stay for all guests.

Salt Lake family vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The neighbors were pretty loud but overall a nice clean place to stay. Could use a few upgrades on kitchen pans.

Lovely town, perfect location

Clean, stocked, spacious, fun (hot tub, air hockey, ping pong, Xbox, next to large park), central location in the Salt Lake basin. Couldn’t have asked for better accommodations for family vacation.

Great short trip

The house was beautiful. Much bigger than I expected, and beautifully decorated. The neighborhood was very comfortable, and the location was awesome.

Enjoyed the stay

The place is very convenient to skiing and stores/restaurants. It was very comfortable, but in need of general cosmetic care. Walls are marked up, baseboards are cracked and peeling, drywall patches haven't been sanded and painted. I would also suggest a check of the plumbing in the master bath. The shower drained slowly and the toilet didn't flush very efficiently.

Good Location

Overall our stay was positive. It worked for our 4 day trip. Pros:Great location close to ski resorts, restaurants, and shopping. Plenty of room for my family. Hot tub great after a day outside in the cold. Beds were comfortable. Cons:Couches were worn out and stained. Lots of dirty dishes and silverware in the cupboards. Could have been cleaner. Smelled like air freshener covering up smoking.

Great stay and close to everything!

Stayed here for a Christmas visit with our son and the space was great. We enjoyed the hot tub and the home was the perfect size for our group. The kitchen has lots of amenities. Beds were super comfortable and we loved having tv's in all the bedrooms. Garage was great as it was so cold.

Comfortable/roomy house

Found some minor issues and theproperty managers quickly responded to our needs. Always checking to see if we needed anything! Close to shopping, grocery and food venues. Grocery close by allowed us to put a roast in the provided crock pot which was wonderful on our return. Parking inside a garage gave us easy access to house!

Significant Check in Difficulty (Read their response before booking).

After giving us a code for entry the day before our stay, we were given a second code and told the door lock had been giving them trouble. When we arrived on a Friday evening, neither code worked. We waited over an hour to enter. The "maintenance man" arrived without a key and used a credit card to break into the property. I wrote to say that it was a "joke" to wait an hour for entry, to be let in by a credit card when there was a known door problem. This was their response: "We are sorry there was a problem with the door and it wouldn't work. Unfortunately the best laid plans can sometimes fail. I am not sure if you are a homeowner but I am sure you have had something fail on your home at the most unhelpful time. We had everyone we could get available to you to help fix your issue. To wait an hour well after our business hours are over on a Friday night is actually not that bad. If it was your personal home, probably couldn't get someone out within an hour to help. Arriving late in the evening is always difficult because if anything goes wrong, it's hard to get a hold of someone. These are residences, not hotels so the same rules that would apply in a home apply here. I hope you can appreciate that everyone did everything they could to get you inside the home and we definitely do not consider ourselves a joke at all and are very sorry there was a problem with your lock and I hope you will not let that 1 hour delay ruin your whole trip and you can reset today and enjoy...

Amazing Rental in Prime Location

This rental surpassed all of our expectstions. Cleanliness, communication with the property managers, location, and available amenities were more than enough to help us relax after a busy day celebrating our recent University graduate. The beds were comfortable. The whole hoise was spacious, and there was more than enoigh in the kitchen for use to prep meals. We were able to sit comfortably and talk with family without feeling cramped. The rental location is located a stone's throw from just about everywhere. We would DEFINITELY recommend this property to anyone with a family. Thank you for a relaxing place to retreat to!

Great central location in very quiet area

We had five adults stay for four days, to attend reunion and family wedding. The home was comfortable and well supplied; easy to locate. The electronic lock didn't work correctly, which has historically been an issue at this address, and we were told it was fixed. It wasn't. However, luckily it was business hours, and they immediately gave us a code that would work. The garage had a remote that made parking and entering easy. Be aware there are zero bedrooms on main level. The staircase is steep up stairs, and my elderly relatives were a bit intimidated each time they went up or down. the master suite is spacious and very nice. Bed VERY comfortable. The second bedroom has a king, that is firm but room is adequate size. The third is a double size/twin bunk. Only one bedroom for the two rooms, and no mirrors in bedrooms which would be helpful when sharing one small bathroom. Shower curtain is broken and falls whenever you move curtain without holding rod in place. Bathroom needs a few additional towel hooks. Fridge is clean, but leaking water from ice maker, so must stay off. Would help to have temporary sign on freezer door so no one turns ice back on. Sofa has a broken arm and "temporary repaired legs" however it is comfortable and large. Great large TV with many streaming options. Kitchen large and well appointed. Large pantry. Walking path and park area attached our rear of neighborhood. Jacuzzi was sparkling clean and worked well. Fairly priced!

Very Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The door code finally worked after they issued 3 different codes. The house was dirty and the hot water didn't work in the guest bathroom. We called multiple times and was only able to leave a message but never got a response. This was very disappointing!

Salt Lake

House was exactly like they said. Several reviews mentioned difficulty with front door lock. If a company repair man hadn't been next door, we would not have gotten in. Person on the phone was worthless !! Unlock process they give you is WAY too complex, and it didn't work. Push this, then press this, then push this, then pull this, then press down door handle. And TV's have 500 channels, but NO ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, FS1, CBS Sports. Why is there not an instruction sheet on TV remotes ? Coffee maker didn't work, they brought a new one over in a couple of hours. All in all, liked the house. Change the door unlock process !!!
