The Premier Cabin has been featured in Outdoor Life and Log Home Living Magazines. Fantastic luxury log home offers open concept, cultured stone gas fireplace, beamed vaulted ceilings, 3BR, and 2 bath. Awesome kitchen, with gorgeous quartz counters. Wonderful master BR, master bath and loft on upper level. The Premier Cabin sleeps 6-8 people. It's a place to bring your family or laugh by the campfire with friends. This is a beautiful location with wildlife watching right from your wrap around deck. Sit in the rockers and just enjoy the sounds of nature. Or explore the surrounding area, as we are close to SIU, Crab Orchard Lake, Giant City State Park, and Shawnee Wine Trail. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook and serve your meals. With a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher, you'll be able to prepare wonderful meals if you choose. For added convenience we provide a washer and dryer.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK
Check-in is after 3 PM. Check-out is before 10 AM.
An off-site rental agreement is required with ID verification.
Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed at this property. If guest are caught with a pet, guests may be subject to an immediate cancellation without refund. If evidence is found after your stay, there will be a $150 penalty for rule violation.
Inventory: We provide a "starter package" of inventory for our cabin: 3 rolls of T.P. and 1 full roll of paper towels.
Firewood is available for purchase.
The stairs you see in the pictures are how to access the property. Not suitable for those with limited mobility.
A hobby farm is nearby with peacocks, chickens and other animals that roam free about the area. Therefore, a no pet policy is strictly enforced.
GPS will get you close but not exactly to the property. Please read directions carefully after booking.

We loved everything about this cabin! If you are looking for a spacious, beautiful cabin to spend time in with family, this is your place. The woodwork throughout the cabin is stunning. High ceilings, open spaces, plenty of space to cook meals, play games, and gather together. The Christmas tree this time of year was an extra special touch. Everything was clean, the bathroom toiletries were hotel-like, which I loved. The beds were extremely comfortable. We would stay here again!

The house is wonderful! We enjoyed having enough space for all 3 of us couples to have a friends weekend, 3 bedrooms with queen beds, a hot tub and a fire pit. Allison was an excellent host, making sure that everything was perfect for our stay and answering any questions immediately.

We had such a wonderful girls’ weekend at this cabin! The fire pit was perfect for a cozy evening by the fire, and the hot tub was just what we needed to relax and unwind. We loved watching the wildlife- so many deer, and even a few peacocks from next door came by for a visit! We got some great photos and truly enjoyed the peaceful, scenic setting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.

Perfect bachelorette weekend!

One of the best houses we’ve rented from! Very clean, plenty of linens, and everyone had more than enough space. Close enough to town to order DoorDash, but still has the ‘cabin in the woods’ feel. Best of both worlds!

Great spot for golf vacation

My group of friends stayed at Rend Lake resort last year for a golf vacation and really enjoyed the area courses, so we returned again this year, selecting this awesome log home rather than the condo complex. This home and the property owners have been great from the moment we booked it. Very quick responses to questions, an emailed list of area attractions, clear directions for getting there as some map apps don't get you precisely there. The code for getting in was already set up, the wi-fi was fast and easy to connect to everywhere in the home. The beds were comfortable as well as the seating in the living room. The hot tub was absolutely amazing and great on the muscles after a long day at the various area golf courses. Easy check-out process, with a prompt and genuine thank you from the owners after our stay. We really liked that this was a private home, the rate was very reasonable, and so much more room than what we normally get on our golf outings. I highly recommend this home if you're looking for lodging for a large group in the Carbondale area and like to be a little more secluded, out in nature.

What a gem in Southern IL

We have been renting vacation properties for 25 years, including all over the So IL/Shawnee area, and this cabin, and its location, is by far our favorite in the area! Allison is WONDERFUL and worked w our needs for our stay (we had to make last minute reservations to attend funeral services). Gorgeous home, gorgeous property, even better owners. Awesome getaway close enough to town

This cabin was beautiful, well kept, and on a cool mini resort with a farm. Fantastic view from the wrap around porch surrounded by nature. Plenty of space for a group of 5. Cabin is updated with all amenities. Location is quiet and far enough from neighboring cabins and farm. Close to town for anything you need and plenty of restaurants. Highly recommend!

Great cabin

Spacious, comfortable and well appointed. We especially liked the outdoor fire pit and all the natural calls of nearby birds. Visits by deer and peacocks were good as well.

Fun on The Farm

This cabin was lovely and fit our group of seven very well. You drive through a lovely farm to get to the cabin. Allison was very easy to communicate with and I would book this rental again. The location was great and if you aren't a farm person don't let that scare you, you can only hear the animals if you are outside. This rental is well suited for family or any age range. I have never stayed at another place that was as well stocked with stuff as this one. Most things you would need in a kitchen are there for your use as well as a great place to do laundry. We loved it!

Perfect Girls Trip

If you are looking for a beautiful cabin that is tucked away from the center of town but a quick drive to the action, look no further! I stayed here with my mom, aunt, and my 1.5 year old daughter and we had the best time! The cabin is beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious. The cabin is well-equipped so you have everything you need to relax and unwind. There is also an adorable farm next to the property. We would absolutely return here!

Great Family Getaway

We stayed at this property about a year ago and decided to stay again. Once again, we were not disappointed! The cabin was clean and cozy. It feels secluded, but is only about a 10 to 15 minute drive to Giant City. We lucked out with beautiful weather, but would have had fun even in the cold and rain. The gas fireplace keeps the place warm, and there’s plenty of space in in the kitchen. A lot of the basic utensils, pots/pans, plates, etc were available for our use. Got to see a lot of deer and different wildlife sitting on the porch. The entire family had a great time and can’t wait to go back!

Birthday get away

The cabin location is lovely. It is clean and welcoming, quiet and tucked away. The weather was heavy rain and cold our entire stay so we had no outside time. Very nice place!

The cabin is so close to town but still has a peaceful feeling of being out in the country. Clean, beautiful, fully stocked kitchen. It was an absolutely perfect weekend!

Great cabin with easy access to hiking

This cabin feels like it’s out in the middle of nowhere, but it’s a short drive to Carbondale and to Giant City State Park and the Shawnee National Forest. It had good amenities and was cozy and comfy. I would definitely stay here again.
