Please NOTE: The heated Estate Pool (shared by all our guests) will be open as long as weather permits. The private hot tub located at your house is available year round.
Pine Manor Estates features 12 Guest Houses and the Gibson is a family-favorite! One look at the sunrise from the vantage of the Gibson Guest House, and you'll understand why this is the original guest home of Pine Manor Estates. With stunning views across the lake and abundant natural light, a stay here is always in tune with the beauty of the surroundings.
Relax and sit on one of the two decks with a water view on each side of the sun room. Or simply enjoy the privacy of the large front raised patio with seating for up to 20 guests.
Let the sound of the fountain take all your cares away.
The exceptional Grand Floridian Master Suite welcomes guests with a four-poster king bed and a private sun room with wet bar overlooking Pine Lake. The attached master bath includes a spacious dressing area and Jacuzzi tub. The Master Suite is located on the main floor.
The softly lit Orange Blossom bedroom is furnished with a queen bed dressed in luxury linens for the height of relaxation. Guests will find a shared bath with combination tub and shower just steps away. This bedroom is located on the lower level.
On the lower level of the Gibson House, Seminole Orange combines furnishings and fabrics that infuse the room with a sense of exotic adventure. A shared bath with combination tub and shower lies just outside.
St. Lucie is found just off the lower level family room for an easy bedtime retreat. It offers two twin beds and access to a shared bath with heated floors, soaking tub and separate shower.
Guests are free to take a stroll through the Estate or rent a golf cart to buzz around. Walkers and runners enjoy the privacy and the local-traffic only streets. The Pine Manor Estates staff is available when needed, but never intrude on guest privacy. Our goal is to make your stay relaxing, refreshing, and memorable.
The Estate offers recreational opportunities within steps of your home. Take a paddle around the lake in our 4-person paddle boats. Or try your hand at catching crappie or bass with our rod and reels. Or if the family wants to enjoy some good old fashioned fun, just use one of our yard games like croquet, badmitton, or volleyball. And don't forget about the basketball courts and tennis courts. All equipment is provided at no additional charge to guests.
When staying at the Gibson Guest House, you will want to be sure to see all that Southern Illinois and the Shawnee National Forest have to offer. Whether you want to visit one or several of our 12 local wineries or be more adventurous and try the Shawnee Zip Line through the forest, there's something for everyone while staying here.
Giant City State Park and the eclectic town of Makanda are just minutes away. Drive through the park and experience the breath-taking beauty of the Southernmost Illinois rock formations or grab a picnic table and enjoy lunch by the creek. For the more adventurous, try your hand at rock climbing or walking the paths of the rocky terrain. And don't forget to stop in the shops of Makanda where local artisans never fail to disappoint.
Some other must-see locations include Cedar Lake, Garden of the Gods, Kentucky Lake, Burden Falls and so much more. Whether you love hiking, fishing, hunting, bicycling, horseback riding, or simply relaxing, Southernmost Illinois has something for everyone!
