Escape to the beauty of Embers Cambria. This lovely unique cabin is both private and picturesque. This property has brand new updates with everything to offer for a weekend getaway or gathering of a smaller group. Succumb to the beauty of nature around you with a path on the property, firepit, retired stables, and a spacious deck to enjoy a unique stay experience. The cabin is conveniently located near fine dining, casino, and beautiful nature preserve with trails, fishing, boating and more.
EMBERS House Rules

Look we hate rules too! But these are just common-sense We want you to love your time away while you’re at our home. We’ll all be happy if expectations are met on both sides. So here’s a few basics. Thank You!

 Fire extinguisher is under the kitchen sink
 Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 9:00 am.
 Maximum occupancy 8
 No lit Candles!

 All fires outside is the fire pit ONLY. Please don’t leave fire pit burning after you’ve left the area.
 Absolutely no fireworks! This is a log cabin and there’s dry leaf beds in every direction and a major fire could easily start from fireworks/sparks.
 Upon leaving all pots and pans should be washed, and dishes loaded in to dishwasher and run. Please empty the fridge of your items.
 Wet towels can be left on towel racks upon leaving to dry.
 All garbage should be bagged. Tie up before you go to avoid germs and odors.
 No un-bagged garbage in bins near garage!
 Please pick up any waste left around yard. NO GLASSWARE OUTSIDE FOR SAFETY!
 Absolutely no smoking/vaping indoors. If found fine is minimum $500
 Absolutely no dogs/pets. Subject to $250 fine per day.
 Any videos or movies charged to our home account will be deducted from deposit, or must be paid for by you.
 Absolutely no parties or events unless approved in advance. If found fine is minimum $5,000 plus damages.
 Accidents Happen! If anything is broken, or if there is an accident, please call us right away. If I don’t answer, leave a voice mail. THEN: Please text me and let me know you left a voice mail. I promise I will respond ASAP!
 We are happy to be your hosts, and we will try my best to accommodate any special requests and make sure you have a wonderful stay!

This property was probably one of the best I have ever stayed in. The property is very clean, well kept with all the accessories you would need. The property owner communicated with us promptly while providing us with things to do in the town. Great for a couples get away! We did not want to leave!!!

Relaxing stay

Great new property listing. We stayed here to attend commencement at SIU. Short drive to SIU but feels like staying out in the country. Would have enjoyed staying longer.

Graduation Day!

It was the perfect place for our family to celebrate my sons graduation from SIU! We had a great time playing boardgames and chatting in the hot tub! The location and home were just beautiful!

The best!

First of all, the owner was wonderful. She kept in touch leading up to our trip and checked in with us once we arrived to see if we needed anything. The property is gorgeous and we were amazed at how clean everything was when we got there. The attention to detail is amazing- they thought of everything! We are already planning a return trip! Out of 10 I would give it an 11!

They thought of every detail!

We booked this last minute on our way back from Nashville TN. The house was perfect for our stay. The owner thought of every detail to make it a home away from home. Dishes, decor, bedding, toiletries, everything was top notch. We really enjoyed our time here with friends. And our littles enjoyed the property and jacuzzi tub!

Gem in the Pine Trees

We were in town for a family wedding and found this gem in the woods! The house was beautiful, very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked (more than most places we've stayed). All the mattresses and bedding were new and extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Golf Outing

The hot tub could have used a little cleaning and cleaner water, however, that was the only negative aspect of the entire property. Everything Else was exceptionally clean and the house is fully stocked with anything you would possibly want. We were down there on a golf outing, and the house was conveniently located in the middle of a half a dozen Golf courses. We will be back!

Amazing house that gets bigger as you walk through it

We had a choice to either stay in a hotel or find a house, I am glad the latter worked out the way it did. The house was very clean and well organized. The cabin design is well done, our kids really enjoyed it as well. The hot tub was great. Big compliment to the host who was flexible with our logistics, so thank you very much. Definitely coming back.

Brother and sister family meet up

This was an amazing place. We will definitely come back. Everything was awesome. People were very nice and helpful with anything you had to ask. I believe this place will go with lots of visitors me and my family was for adults. I had my brother there from Arkansas and us from Illinois. It was a beautiful property and very, very clean. I appreciated the incidentals provided, like shampoo, paper plates and cutlery, spices, and coffee. The bedrooms were nice, and the beds were comfortable. Although we only had 6 adults, there was another bedroom for two more. There was plenty of room to move around and hang out. It did rain, so we could not enjoy the deck and hot tub, but we were able to use the gas grill. Thank you so much for offering this exquisite property through VRBO. We will definitely come back and stay!
