Great house and convenient to Sewanee

We loved the house and the back yard. We took our dogs and hung out by the fire pit at night. Perfect location near campus and several walking trails.

The location was great and the home was spacious and inviting for a large group. The kitchen was very well supplied with everything that we needed and the outdoor space was lovely. Comfortable beds and linens and plenty of privacy.

We loved our time at The Sewanee House! There was plenty of room for all 13 of us, but our favorite place was the beautiful outdoor space in the back of the home. We spent hours out there! Great communication with our sweet host. We would love to stay here again!

Birthday Getaway

We wanted to get away to Sewanee to celebrate our sons birthday. This was the perfect place with more than enough room for the 8 of us. The house had everything we needed and the most comfortable beds. Can't wait for another visit to the mountain.

The kids loved the bedroom upstairs! Nice first impression when you walk into the foyer. All the beds were comfy. Plenty of room for 4 families. Beautiful setting in the woods.

This place was perfect for my family of 17. We had permission to allow up to 40 people for a family gathering and there was so much room to roam outside in the lovely backyard. I could have stayed a week there. You will not be disappointed with the Sewanee House. Loved it.

We enjoyed our time there (especially the fire pit). Wasn’t quite big enough for all of us - might want to include a layout in listing. Plenty of room for all to spread out. Would recommend getting some serving bowls & a heater in primary bedroom.

Great for friends and family!

Excellent stay all the way around. Gorgeous property and home - loved all the rooms and amenities. We cooked a big family dinner and had guests over on the back patio - perfect setting. The host was MORE than responsive - Kathryn let us take our family to the listing before our stay graciously. Highly recommend and will stay again next time in Sewanee. You wont be disappointed.

Girls weekend getaway

We have a group of friends since college that get together every year- and this was a great spot for it. Sewanee and Monteagle are beautiful, and this property is the perfect location to them. Plenty of space for a larger group! The host was so kind and accommodating. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

Great for groups

We had a great stay at the Sewanee House. We were there for a game at Sewanee and it was the perfect location. We had three families and we each had our own section of the house. The kitchen was very well appointed and the assortment of little bowls was adorable. The outdoor area at night, with the string lights on, was so peaceful. My bed and pillow was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water and great water pressure in my shower. My only suggestions would be to have the grass cut (it looked a little abandoned when we drove up) and the grill was quite dirty. Other than that it was perfect.

Outside area

This house was great. We had a group of 16 women and the beds were good and for the most part clean. Several lights in master bedroom did not work and we couldn’t find the coffee grinder listed but everything else was great! The outside area is majestic!

Fabulous home! Great location!

Kathryn’s home is beautiful and was very comfortable for our group of six. Very well stocked with everything that we needed - and located close to everything in Sewanee. We enjoyed hiking trails and lots of Sewanee baseball. Kathryn was very accommodating and responded quickly - even checking in the first day to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We have already booked our second trip to this wonderful home!

I’ve thoughtfully designed the house with comfort and connection in mind, and I’m nearby if you need anything during your stay.

The community here is warm and welcoming, and there’s a small-town charm that makes it feel like home. I love the trails, the local art and shops, the natural beauty all around, and the chance to catch a sunset at Morgan’s Steep. This place is full of people I admire—friends, mentors, and neighbors who make Sewanee truly special.
