Enjoy your stay at THE HILLTOP HIDEOUT II, a 4 bed, 3 bath chalet, which is located directly above the famous Georgia Mountain Coaster inside of Helen, GA. The large farm table invites the guests to be together for lifelong memories. The patios are for views, grilling, and taking in beauty. The basement is set up for relaxing on the oversized couch and large TV. This cozy chalet is the perfect destination spot for family or friends looking for an Alpine Adventure in a Bavarian Themed Town in Appalachia OR if you are looking for a "flexcation!" There is also a private office space for working while still getting away! Appreciate the beautiful hilltop view on one of the large patios while indulging in nature and your favorite beverage. Take advantage of the multiple attractions, state parks, wineries, breweries, food, fishing, tubing, and family friendly activities. Don't forget to visit a few favorites: Unicoi State Park, Anna Ruby Falls, Dukes Creek Falls, Yonah Mountain, Cool River Tubing, Helen Waterpark, Alpine Mini Golf, Dukes Creek Mines, Woody's Mountain Bikes, Alpine Fun Factory, Hardman Farm State Historic Sight, Charlemagne's Kingdom, and more!

We loved the hot tub, grill, pool table, games, and smart tv with hulu. Plenty of info provided by the host about local attractions and food scene. Great host who also provided all the necessary kitchen items and grill tools. Property was clean and in a good location. Although technically walkable to downtown Helen, the road is very narrow, dark, and steep. We did not try to walk it with grandparent and kids, but we were a close car ride to the entertainment. No issues there. Mountain coaster was right at the bottom of the hill!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. It was perfect for 9 ladies going to Octoberfest. House was decorated beautifully and very near town. Love, love, love the bath towels. Host is a greatCommunicator and very quick to answer any questions. We will definitely stay here again!

Bachelorette Party

Absolutely perfect for our stay in downtown Helen! The property was clean and updated and was a great location that was central to the heart of Helen. Karen was extremely helpful and responsive when it came to answering questions and helping us with extra parking. This rental is perfect for a girls getaway and even a family getaway. Would definitely stay again!

Stop Searching! This is your cabin!

Seriously this cabin is amazing. It was spotless when we arrived! That's a big bonus for me. We had 10 people in our party, 4 kids, 2 teenagers, and 4 adults and we never felt crowded. The different levels make it feel so big. The hottub was clean and such an added bonus. We did see the friendly bear a few times, which was fun. The location is perfect. The kids love the game room, the adult kids too! Lol We hope to come back soon! I can't thank Karen enough for a wonderful vacation!

Birthday get away

The wife wanted to go to a cabin with our friends for her 40th birthday. Found this cabin at a very reasonable price. I’m always a little worried when I book cabins that I have never stayed at or seen in person, but I can not express how impressed I was with this cabin! We had 8 adults and had plenty of room for everyone with no complaints. The place is modern and updated, as well as clean and stocked with everything needed for the weekend stay. We go to Helen on a yearly trip for Octoberfest and will definitely be looking to book here again.

Friends' getaway

This place is great exactly like it said in the listing even the 0.5 miles to town and the hill :) it. You can walk it but it is steep. Very clean and plenty of space for the 8 of us. The owner was very good in corresponding to questions. We would definitely go again and stay there

Neighbor

Rental was fantastic. The ONLY issue was the neighbors at the top of the hill kept calling the cops on cars parked in the culdesac. Noone was parked on or in front of her house, just to close in proximity to her property.

Great little house with a great location

We had a great time here. Home was clean and kitchen was stocked. Has coffee, filters, and powdered creamer all left from previous visitors. Oil to cook with as well. Hot tub was nice and the walk into town was maybe 10 minutes at most. Beds were more firm than we would like and found it strange that living room and dining room are on different floors. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time.

Great house in Helen

The house was perfect and the host was super responsive and communicative. The only thing I'd caution is that while the location is very close to town, it is up a fairly steep hill which makes walking back a little difficult. Other than that everything was even better than in the listing.

Great Trip

Our stay was fantastic. The location was ideal, providing easy access to all the local attractions. The accommodations were perfect, comfortably hosting both our family and friends (4 adults and 4 kids). The house was well-maintained and had everything we needed. Communication with the host was excellent, ensuring a smooth check-in and out. Highly recommended!

Awesome location!

The location was awesome, right at downtown, walking distance. It was very quiet, which is what we were looking for. Plenty of space for 9 of us, could have added a few more! Everything was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Best Spot in Helen!

This is our third Octoberfest at this same house in Helen because it’s the BEST SPOT IN HELEN! Close to everything, room for everyone, ALL the amenities like a hot tub, grill, king size in master, crock pot, wine bottle opener and more! I can’t wait to book and be back!

Family Wedding

Our family rented the three chalets on the street that are side by side and it worked out beautifully! At one point when we had 25 people together for a pre dinner gathering it was a bit crowded but the “teenagers” were easily able to just walk next door to hang out which tremendously eased the overcrowding. The bedrooms worked out great for everyone as we had 3 teenage girls in one room (each had their own bed) and 2 boys in the opposite bedroom (each with their own bed). In addition, there were 2 nice bedrooms for the adults. Great location off Main Street Helen but up high on the hill so was very quiet for sleeping. Well equipped kitchen and 2 beautiful decks. Our host was so accommodating and easy to work with. We had no issues at all while there and I highly recommend, especially for families who need lots of sleeping space!

This property is super clean! Strategically located 1/4 of a mile up a hill from downtown Helen. Many people choose to walk to the activities in town. The back porches are so relaxing. In the winter, it is a mountain view. In the summer, you are looking at a deep green brush which is full of wildlife and wonder. There is plenty of space to spread out and a fantastic work space.

This house is uniquely decorated and ready for a large family or multiple families. When you stay here, you will be refreshed as you enjoy all beauty, location, and charm that this home offers. This is the chalet that my family rents for Christmas. You will love the large farmhouse table which allows for great family and friends to sit together to eat, laugh, and make memories.
