Such a beautiful apartment, so well appointed with lovely furniture, full kitchen with new appliances - the beds were so very comfortable!Sitting outside was glorious, as well! Beautiful grounds, so well-maintained.Our host, Kevin, was instantly responsive to questions as we planned our stay, giving us confidence that we could reach him if we had any questions during our stay - but everything was so perfect, we didn't need to call!We will hope to return to this lovely place next year for our annual family reunion.

Perfectly Located Lovely Home

The carriage house sits on a nice piece of property directly across the road from the trail to the national park. We went off-season and didn't lack for anything in the cozy home. During our four-day stay, we cooked one meal and ate meals out the rest (except for light breakfasts). Kevin is so responsive. The trail goes in two directions, so you get some variety right there, and you are close to many different small towns and beaches, including Clinton, Madison, and Guilford. Jacob's Beach is nice; you can walk there from Pa's Restaurant in the Guildford Marina.Had a great time overall. Thanks for your lovely home!

Great stay

It was perfect for my son and i visiting the area. The place was clean and exactly how it’s described. They even had coffee so i didn’t need to go out to the store in the morning after a long day and night of travel.

Sweet carriage house

I’ll be returning here whenever there’s no room to stay at Mom’s house. Immaculate, light-filled rooms with comfy new furniture, bedding — what a treat. The kitchen has everything you might need and the host has provided basic items that will please dog-owners and “I forgot to pack X” packers. The location is a stone’s throw from the beach and a nice walk into charming downtown Madison.

Clean and bright and great location

Everything was up to date, beautifully decorated, and very clean. Each bedroom has a closet with shelves because there is no space for anything but a bed and two bedside tables. The skylights in the bathroom and living room make it really bright. Totally updated with new bathroom and kitchen. With windows shut the road noise is minimal. Close to town, beach, stores. Great location Kevin very easily reached and he gives heads up about people staying at the house on the property We brought a baby gate so our dog could enjoy the porch. Pretty much everything you need is there. Loved all of the outlets and USB ports in the living room and bedroom. And also the lights on the stairs leading up to the apartment for after dark.

I'm originally from Montreal, Canada. Spent a few years traveling and living in different places & countries. UCONN alumni, and settled in Madison in 2003 where I've been a small business owner. We fell in love with this property the first time we saw it. The house was vacant for many years, so it was a labor of love updating & remodeling in the spring of 2021. We hope you love it as much as we do!

This neighborhood is the closest to Hammonasset Beach State Park than any other. You can certainly drive the 1 mile, but the Greenway Trail is a beautiful wooded walking and biking trail just across the street that goes directly to the beach.

This property has 2 separate airbnb rentals on it... one is the main house that sleeps 8, and then this newly renovated, fully equipped carriage house apartment which is 50ft from the main house, has a private entrance and is located on the second floor. The only space shared between the 2 buildings is the driveway; you will have your own entrance, private outdoor patio set and fire-pit area. Relax and enjoy your stay!"
