Comfy Mayo Retreat; Heated Pool, Close to Beach

Palms Bungalow is a 3 bedroom 2 bath pool home, only 1 mile from Mayo Clinic and 3 miles from Jacksonville Beach. This one story home features a newly remodeled kitchen with all new appliances. Palms Bungalow offers 2 lounging areas, with plenty of space for everyone to relax. All 3 bedrooms have smart TV's, with cable in living rooms and primary suite. Step outside to, a large covered porch, sparkling heated pool, and a new tiki bar that includes AC, mini fridge, couch, Smart TV, and bar seating. Outback you will also find a grill with provided propane. Just one house away from Isle of Palms park, this bungalow is perfect for families.

POOL HEATERS:
Pool heaters are turned off from 5/15 to 9/15 as the pool temperatures are at or well above the 85 degree threshold. To request that the pools be heated between 9/15 - 5/15, contact management 72 hours before your arrival. Pools will not be heated for last minute bookings. The pool heaters heat the pools to 85 degrees. When we experience lows below 45 degrees, the heaters will not be able to reach a comfortable temperature for swimming. Though we rarely see temperatures with lows below 45 degrees, it can happen in the winter months. Thank you for understanding.

The house is 2 houses down from a park that we used! The home is very cute and cozy. Very spacious all the way around including the showers. The back sectional was oversized and amazingly comfortable. Everything we needed besides food and seasonings in the kitchen, very well stocked including wine glasses. TV in all rooms and both living rooms. The tiki hut was perfect to relax in with a TV as well when I watched the kids swim. We brought our dog, no grass in the back for her to use the restroom, but we can walk to front or down to the park just clean up after your pet always!! 8 min from the beach approximately maybe a little closer. Vinnys restaurant was delicious. Metro Diner is delicious. Mike and Yvonne were amazing to work with even with minor issues!! Thank you Welcome Home for a cozy stay!! Beautiful night sky from the backyard as well!

Perfect

As always, the property management company goes above and beyond to accommodate!! The house has a perfect layout for a group to spread out and the pool and other amenities far surpass any other properties we’ve stayed at in the Jacksonville area!!

Cozy home with pool

Property was as advertised, clean and comfy. Lots of beach chairs and places to sit outside. Was a little too hot to enjoy being outside but on the cooler days would be nice. Dog owners should note there is no grass in the back yard, not an issue for some. Everything was well labeled and a well stocked kitchen with lots of towels which was nice. Apartment complex in the back but was still quiet and private. Nice park within walking distance. Good communication!

Much needed Family Vacation!!

Me and my husband and 3 kids and there grandma stayed chose this home to stay in this year for vacation. We desperately needed to get away for awhile and this vacation home was so nice to stay in. My kids beyond loved the pool they was in it probably every day. The house was a nice size and having two living rooms was a nice touch as well. I loved how close Walmart and other stores/food places were to the home. Loved the fact that the hosts had already supplies like toilet paper,trash bags,laundry stuff which unfortunately I couldn’t use cause of my allergies, dishwasher pods and shampoo etc it was very much appreciated so I didn’t have to worry about buying!! All in all honestly we had a wonderful vacation at this beach home and wish it would have been longer!! The only Negatives I would honestly say about the place was it was hot for me to do the laundry in the room it’s in even with the fan going, the master bedroom bed was not comfortable me and my husband wish it would of been softer for our backs. But Honestly a Wonderful Beach home and wonderful hosts!!!!

Great stay! Location is not close to the beach but in a quiet neighborhood near the Mayo Clinic. Shops restaurants are close. House is a modest bungalow with an added family room. Plenty of room for up to six people. Pet friendly. Management is responsive. Nice pool in back. Nearby bright spots include Taco Loco, Mayday Icecream, an Irish Restaurant, a pizza brew-pub, and a large consignment store. Easy access to Butler Blvd. that gets you to Jax Beach or into downtown.

2nd stay at Palms Bungalow

This was the 2nd year my mom and I have stayed at the Palms Bungalow. It is so comfy and just perfect for our visits to Jacksonville to see family. We love the pool in the backyard and just the comfortable set up with the family room and front living room. It has worked perfectly for us. Very clean, everything we need is there. We went to the beach for a day and I was thrilled to find a beach wagon, umbrella and chairs ready to go in the garage. Will stay here every time we go back to JAX!

Wonderful little retreat!

Our stay was excellent and could not have gone better. The heated pool was amazing, all the amenities were there and accessible, would highly recommend this property. Hope to stay again soon.

Great Location, Excellent Communication

We are in Tampa and made a last minute reservation to here as part of us evacuating Hurricane Milton. This was one of the few places on VRBO that allowed last minute booking. The place is in great condition and had a bunch of new updates. It had an air conditioned shed/tiki bar thing that was an excellent place to work away from the house. It is also one house over from a pretty big park.

Best location for MAYO

I highly recommend this location for MAYO patients to convalesce. Husband had an organ transplant n it was best choice by price, with MAYO discount, location,1 mile from MAYO, stores, and a bedroom for each for germ purposes. We had to rent a recliner which was a Godsend but pool was excellent reprieve for caregivers. I recommend this for long term stay for patient n families.

Amazing Place

I’m so happy that I found this listing this was the best rental property that I’ve ever used great price and good value. I thought that I was going to need to go to the store and grab things everything was there ready and available to use. If I could I would give this a higher rating than 5 stars!!!!!

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay! House was well stocked and we didn’t need anything extra and it was great! They had it all! The only criticism is that it did come across that every room had a tv in it based on the pictures and 2 of the 3 bedrooms did not and that was the number two priority on our list. First priority was the private pool. Which again pictures made it seem bigger but the pool was great overall just was much smaller than we anticipated. Otherwise we loved the house! We had 2 tween boys and a five year old with my husband and I and it was great for us! The tweens stayed in the tiki bar area and made it their own apartment for the week which was awesome for them and us!! Thanks we had a blast!

Quiet and peaceful

House was in a quiet neighborhood and close to many great stores and the beach. The pool was perfect. We stayed here for a week after a procedure at the Mayo Clinic. It was great to rest and recoup in this home.

Great little house and nice neighborhood

We loved this house!! It had everything we needed. The pool was a big plus for my grandsons. They also enjoyed watching tv in the tiki hut. It was close to Mayo Clinic where I had several appointments. And the drive to the beach wasn’t far. I would definitely recommend. And I would also stay here again. And Welcome Home were very nice also.

Our family was comfortable. The pool was a blessing for me recovering from a procedure at the Mayo clinic. This place is so close to Mayo. We will definitely be booking another stay in 3 years! Please keep this property available to rent. What a blessing.

Nice house and pool!

We stayed the month of February and enjoyed every minute! The neighborhood is quiet and safe, there’s a park two doors down, and the house is well equipped. In fact, this was the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever seen in our many travels. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Close to great restaurants (Marker 32 and Dockside), five minutes from Publix, and close to the beach and shopping. A+!

Palms Bungalow

This property was just what we needed. Everything was clean, check in easy, comfortable bed, and fully stocked kitchen. The pool was amazing and the temperature just right thanks to Mike for my arthritis and for my 4 month old grandson. Having 2 living areas as well as a screened in Florida room was great! Location was perfect for us. Ten minutes from my son’s house and the beach. There is a park close by also. We throughly enjoyed our stay and our pups loved the fenced in back yard. We will be back.
