Welcome to “The Cottage” a recently remodeled spacious and accessible brick ranch home in the heart of Jacksonville. Located in the desirable Isle of Palms neighborhood this charming transitional styled space offers close proximity to:

We believe you should feel right at home when you travel, that's why we think you will love the cozy at-home character the house and location gives off. Each room has been meticulously designed to provide a luxury feel, from the memory foam mattresses, to the way the wood colors from the furniture compliment one another. Style aside, there's tons to do for everyone inside and out.

Walk to the local park and play a game of tennis, afterwards cook up a roaring meal with the outdoor grill and large kitchen.

When you’re done, challenge your friends and family to a game of pool or darts while the kids play in the large backyard under the string lights and stars.

As the night settles down, relax in the backyard zen den lanai with the margarita you made seasoned with fresh limes you picked from the backyard lime tree.

Finally clean off in the fully accessible shower and retire to the captain's quarters on a luxury memory foam mattress that feels like a cloud.

Very responsive host, excellent stay. We were in Jacksonville to visit family and enjoy an early Christmas with grandkids. Very nice place to stay and we enjoyed our time. I would recommend this property and will definitely utilize it again. Thank you !

Clean, comfortable older home with some great upgrades to the bathrooms. I chose it because my brother is in a wheelchair and I wanted him to be with family inside and out for a family gathering. There are ramps to get inside and the entrance to the patio worked great too. He had a blast playing pool and cornhole. Host was responsive to my texts. Quiet neighborhood with enough off street parking for 4 vehicles.

This home was a blessing! It was spotless clean, well stocked and beautiful! My son is disabled from an accident and this home was so good for him. He was able to be independent, could shower by himself for the first time. They had ramps at the front door and it was easy for him to maneuver around the home. I can’t tell you how much that meant to him. I was surprised by a bathroom in the back room, it was beautifully done. I loved reading in the egg chairs. The beds were comfortable and we both slept really well. We had one small issue that Carson took care of immediately. He was so kind! This is the only place we could find that was truly accessible for my son and worth every single cent! We will be staying here again when we come back to visit family. I forgot to take photos of the amazing master suite but it was gorgeous!

Last two days couldn’t use toilets or showers in two bathrooms. Sewage backed up in shower onto bathroom floor. Not a great way to end our stay. Icemaker not working. Needs a filter.

Beautiful Home

Beautiful home in the inside, house was clean and welcoming. Everything that you may need that you would have in your own home, was there. I did wish it was a tv in all rooms. After long day out, i kind of wanted to get away from the rest of fam and watch a good movie, but i had to sit in living area with some. Other than that, nice location middle of everything, i dont even think we were 10 mins from beach. Cant wait til next time!

Pros: handicap accessible, comfortable mattresses, comfortable bedding, screened in patio, enough paper products like toilet paper to get you through a few days. Plenty of dishes, most light switches are labeled.////Cons: Ice-maker gets jammed easily, shower curtains were mildewed (I had to wash them and the towels with bleach), thermostat has a lock where it can’t be set below 70F, multiple lightbulbs burned out, sofa is uncomfortable, patio cushions mildewed, Captains quarters does not have TV, pots in kitchen are Teflon and deeply scratched, backyard is overgrown and has thorny vines growing around walkways, walkways need to be pressure washed as they are slick with algae/moss, walls have spots/stains in living room, vertical blinds are missing a slat, Dishwasher isn’t bolted into the cabinet structure.

Plenty of space

We chose this location because of its close proximity to UNF and the beach. There were 6 of us that came up to spend Easter weekend with our daughter. The property was very spacious with plenty of room for us to spread out. So large that I didn't realize where the closet was that had the towels. I reached out to Carson, who was very responsive. The house was very clean and the game room area was a huge hit. Publix was just minutes away.

The cottage in Jax

Christmas in Jacksonville!

Carson’s home was perfect. We were 5 adults, one being a senior. We chose this VRBO because it could handle people with disabilities. My mom had no problems getting around. There was even a walker for her to use in the house. Bedrooms were a good size. Plenty of closet space for everyone. The family room was great, all of us fitting nicely for some TV time before bed. Kitchen was well stocked for what we needed.The house in nicely decorated and spotless. I will definitely book this home again when visiting my brother. Thank you Carson.

Comfortable and Convenient

Perfect location for us. My son had surgery at the Mayo Clinic hospital. Multiple trips back and forth daily. Only 5 minute drive. Maybe 10 minutes to the beach - we went for an hour on the day he was finally discharged before we picked him up. Kitchen was well equipped. Don’t go to the grocery before going to the house. We bought things that were already there.

Bigger and better than it looked

Love staying here. We came with our family and our friends family, the house was way bigger than the photos shown, and it was perfectly laid out for our needs. The house was so clean and just so perfect for our stay. I think we’d literally come back just for the house. Thanks you guys!

The accessibility was great with our daughter’s wheelchair. The house was clean overall and had plenty of room for everyone. The only negative was the green room sofa and dining room rug which had a lot of stains.

Family vacation

The home was aesthetically pleasing and we appreciated the provided amenities. Everything was well labeled and it was easy to communicate with the owner if needed. There was plenty of room for everyone in our party. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

The property is wheelchair accessible and the "Captains Quarters" master bedroom was specifically designed with an attached walk in dual shower bathroom for use with a wheelchair or mobility aid.

In addition to this, the backyard lanai was completely redone to transform it from a boring concrete patio to a peaceful Zen Den for you to enjoy with family and friends...with some fresh drinks of course :)
