High Tide is a perfect place for your next beach vacation. It is a top floor rental unit. We live on the bottom floor, Unit A, "Low Tide." We have a small family of 4 and our dog Daisy. It is located in Avon, North Carolina in the Hatteras Colony neighborhood. In just a three minute walk, you will be able to enjoy the wide open, uncrowded beautiful beaches. High Tide is conveniently located near a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream shops, and also our local grocery store. The famous Avon, Pier is just a short drive to enjoy some fishing, surfing, or just taking a walk to look for shells.

This property was a joy to stay in. The rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the and the kitchen was well equipped with all the essentials for our family of five. We especially loved the short walk to the beach and local ice cream shops. This was a perfect home for a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Get away for Hootens

Upon arriving cottage was clean and bright. The entire visit was comfortable The cottage was lacking nothing. Many times renters will scrimp on mattresses, but this place was top-notch. We will look forward to returning.

Comfortable and convenient!

The property was just as pictured. The bedrooms were large and comfortable with TVs in each room. Kitchen was well stocked (including All Clad pots!). Although the property is across Rt 12 from the beach, it was a short 5-10 min walk to the beach. The location is perfect for day trips to either end of the island. Great stay!

Perfect Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at High Tide. Very comfortable cozy accommodations. Beds slept wonderfully!! stocked kitchen for easy meal prep when we cooked. Great central location to everything you might want to do while in Avon. Kevin our host was timely to reply to our questions. Checking in and out was a breeze! Definitely would book another trip here!

Clean and inviting

We were impressed with how clean the unit was. Check in and communication were also on point. Had some doubts on location but despite being next to 12 it was quiet and comfortable. Would definitely book this unit again, great experience.

This is a nice spot in a great location, walking distance to the beach, multiple restaurants, and grocery store. The house has everything you need and is very clean and organized. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay right by the beach

We had the best time at High Tide! The space was perfect for us, family of 5 with a teenager and two littles. Quick drive to the pier that was never overcrowded. Would definitely stay again!

Super clean place great value

This place worked great for my wife and two young adult kids. It is super clean and well equipped for example the kitchen has All Clad pots and pans. Has been recently been remodeled and nicely done. Great place all around!

Just what we needed

Wonderful place to stay! Very comfortable, clean and cozy. Big bedrooms with comfy beds, cute decor, great location - close to beach and shops, food, etc. Owners that live downstairs are a sweet family, and very accommodating. We definitely hope to book again on our next Hatteras trip!

Back to paradise

This is our second time staying here- We have stayed in Avon each of the last 3 years for our family trip. We only didn’t stay in this wonderful home due to a much larger group than normal last summer (2022). That being said, we were so happy to be going back to what my kids simply call “the round house” and in fact this time they also called it “home”. That is exactly what this place is, a place that is cared for, extremely well kept, clean, and simply has everything you want. Large beds, a lovely relaxing space, tv’s, kitchen (has it all), outdoor showers. What we love the most is the easy walk across the street, and an easy walk to the beach. In the welcome Binder the owners provide they let you know to look out for the colorful fish to the public walk way to the beach, my kids remembered and were so excited to find it again, as were WE! I could go on and on, THIS PLACE IS PARADISE. Walking to everything you need LITERALLY! Imagine being on a much needed vacation that is quite and relaxing, AND still being only a short walk to; restaurants, ice cream, coffee, bakery and the beach. This home is exactly that, A HOME! We will keep coming back! We love it!

Great place in Avon

We had a great stay at High Tide...the place was exactly as described. Great location and easy access to the beach and walkable / easy bike ride to shops/restaurants. Owners living below was not an issue and were friendly & helpful. I certainly recommend this property for a family that is spending their time out enjoying OBX and coming back to this great place to crash!

Clean, comfortable, not far from beach

We were very happy and lucky to find this rental for our first post-baby beach vacation with family. Was new to the site when we found it, but looks like with us and other guests they've been doing everything right. Easy check in and out. House is in great shape with nice amenities. Right next to the main road through town, but at least in our case, wasn't ever noisy enough to wake the baby and we still enjoyed sitting on the deck. Not beach-front but not a bad walk through a nice neighborhood and the beach wasn't packed even though the island was full of tourists. Very laid back. Restaurant next door and ice cream within walking distance. But we ate in a lot, bought seafood and used the grill. Owner had good tips in the welcome binder. Check out the Farmer's Market on Tuesday if you can! Mostly arts and crafts but also a vendor with great fruit and vegetable selection. Wine-tasting the day we were there. Great place to get souvenirs! Enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it!

Great spot!

We enjoyed walking across to the beach. Nice wide beach with other people, but not crowded at all. Avon has many activities and restaurants to offer. We also enjoyed traveling down to Ocracoke and up to Nag Head. This location worked well for us since it was centrally located. Having Muffins and Scones so close made walking to breakfast an easy choice! Home owners were on the bottom floor if we needed something but we didn’t! We had a great time!
