A 20 metros del océano y precios bajos, Mampoo Hill es una casa de playa muy especial en una isla. Relájese desde las cubiertas con la vista y el sonido del agua azul traslapada con palmeras que se balancean suavemente entre ellas O bucear en la vida privada en el océano "patio trasero". Y observe espectaculares puestas de sol desde el lujoso spa o sillones en la cubierta superior o inferior mientras el final de la luz del día brilla en los árboles y el océano Caribe.

Mampoo Hill (diseñado por el arquitecto más famoso de la isla que también hizo el icónico Mongoose Junction) fue meticulosamente diseñado para aprovechar sus fabulosas vistas al océano desde cualquier habitación. Esta rara y hermosa isla al aire libre tiene un enorme dormitorio principal con aire acondicionado, vestidor doble, cama king size, sofá futón tamaño queen, biblioteca, ventiladores de techo, TV y conexión a Internet, mientras que el dormitorio de invitados tiene dos camas individuales (que pueden estar hecho como un rey), un ventilador de techo, aire acondicionado, televisión por cable con control remoto y un baño completo. Fantastic house. Great view and falling asleep to the ocean waves at night was amazing. Stay on top of the jungle juice or learn the hard way mosquitoes are legitimately coming for you.

40th Anniversary Trip

We loved Mampoo Hill house. The open format of the house and the gorgeous view were amazing! We had everything we needed there. The rocky beach just below the house was beautiful and we snorkeled in the bay just down the beach. Loved it!

Dream Family Vacation

My husband and two teenage boys just got back from a week at Mampoo Hill. We had an amazing time staying at this gorgeous and unique house. The pictures don't even do it justice. The views from every part of the house are breathtaking and the house was clean and well stocked. We took advantage of the jeep which made our day trips much easier. Parking around the island was quite an experience but worked out. ;) Candice's artwork added to the overall beauty of the house. What a fantastic place to relax with my family. We hiked, snorkeled and loved the recommended restaurants. We hope to be back someday! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!

Perfect anniversary property

This is a 2 bedroom property but me and my husband were looking for a special property for our 30th wedding anniversary so did not have any other couples join us. And we nailed it with this one! Everything was perfect for what we were looking for. We rented the jeep and that made it super easy and convenient on arrival aWnd departure. The property was so beautiful and the critters of Mampoo Hill we entertaining to watch. The location is convenient for getting to Cruz Bay (can be to the ferry in 7 minutes) and other nearby beaches. We cooked in a few times and there is plenty of utensils and pots and pans to cook any meal and the grill was in great shape for grilling steaks our first night. We used the hot tub everyday and it was great for mornings and evenings. We had hired a photographer to capture some pictures to remember our special trip and had planned to go to another beach but the property was so beautiful and was so special for us we decided to have them take the photos there on the deck and down by the beach. Can't wait to see how they turned out. We will rebook the property the next time we stay on St John, which hopefully will be sooner rather than later.

Incredible views

We absolutely loved our time at Mampoo Hill. The sunset views were amazing. The house was very clean and well kept. Pictures don't do justice. Jennifer & Craig were great to work with and we really enjoyed seeing all of Candice's art work around the house. We can't wait to return to St Johns and plan on booking this home again when we do.

Amazing Private Paradise by the Caribbean

This beautiful home exceeded our expectations. Awesome open concept home with a private, air conditioned bedroom on both sides of the common areas. Beautiful views and only a few steps from the shore. Clean, well stocked and maintained. 5 stars! Local support staff was awesome and available to address any issues. Highly recommended.

Exactly as described—an extraordinary property

Mampoo Hill will go down as one of—if not THE—most extraordinary vacation properties we’ve ever experienced. The house is fun and well maintained, but words don’t do the scene, view, privacy, and lusciousness of the property justice. All the caveats shared by other reviewers are accurate—there are an abundance of no see ems, island life is unpredictable (power outages were a thing during our stay), etc—and this isn’t a “luxury” property in terms of sheer creature comforts, so go in with your eyes open. But we loved it and would definitely stay again! The owner and caretakers are fab, the jeep was great, and we are feeling very lucky to have spent 9 days in this special place.

Paradise

When we travel, we prefer to find places more "away" from the crowds and high-rises. This VRBO at Mampoo Place delivers. The sounds of the ocean, the views all day (and even sometimes at night!) The seashells, iguanas, hermit crabs, and marine life were all fantastic. I was nervous about the iguanas "visiting" but they stayed in their tree and were delightful entertainment. We stayed as a last family vacation with all of our 4 children still "in the nest" and my mama heart stuffed a million memories in with so many smiles! The mosquitoes are nothing to mess with here! They were violent little suckers (and I was born and raised in MN lakes country where they get to be the size of small birds!) Moral of the story; USE THE JUNGLE JUICE. We also had issues with sugar ants, but with an open-air concept like Mampoo Hill, it would be silly to complain, I just think a warning is due that if you don't want to share your snacks with critters of all sizes, shapes, and forms, then you should keep all opened foods in airtight containers, the fridge, or freezer and do your dishes promptly after eating. Taking out the trash daily is doubly recommended for the same reasons (we never left garbage to find out, but I wholeheartedly believe ANYTHING left out could bring in uninvited guests!) The people, the history, the water, and EVERYTHING about this island is magical. I have NEVER had my stress melt away like our two weeks here and I pray we can make it back again.

Our stay was amazing. When you walk in it’s open and has many chairs and sitting areas to check out the beach. Beach was beautiful, it is a rocky one so I recommend bringing good shoes in your bags. They provided us with everything included snorkeling gear. The bugs are definitely present, but they were kind enough to provide us with a great bug repellent, make sure to lather up. The iguanas were great company and fun to watch. Everything was so easy to get to, I definitely recommend you renting their jeep, it made the trip so much more convenient and much less pricey than renting at the airport. Everyone I talked to was responsive very quickly and accommodating. The people in general all around were just so kind.

This house was amazing. Anyone looking for a true island experience---this is it. If we were to return to St. John, it would be based on the availability of Mampoo hill. Craig was so nice and helpful. Meeting us at the ferry is a definite plus. Loved it.
