Our home is a totally renovated 4 bedroom 3.5 bath waterfront home. Located in Kill Devil Hills NC in a gated community called Colington Harbour. 4 very large bedrooms, 2 spacious living rooms , Comfy clean furniture. High quality mattresses . Plush linens and towels. Large well equipped kitchen, spacious jacuzzi tub in private Master bath. Beautiful electric fireplace. 3 expansive waterfront decks with the mid one totally screened in and covered. Huge gas grill on top deck, 2 back yard boat docks for fishing and crabbing. One lower dock for easy access boarding your kayaks. A custom built ladder to exit canal. Swimming paddle boarding in canal is permitted at your own risk. Bring your boat, kayaks, jet skis paddle board etc. or rent them from a local company. Deep water canals with quick access to the sound and ocean for boaters. Boat ramp is located in the Harbor by the pool. Small launch fee for that. Sound front community pool, tennis courts, as well as a private beach and park located just a mile or so from the house. The Ocean is a 10 minute car ride away. A small princess balcony off the expansive private Master Bedroom . The views are AMAZING! The night sky from top decks is the perfect place to stargaze., enjoy sunrises for you early birds and colorful sunsets. The Wright Brothers Monument and Ocean front just minutes away. Great restaurants and shopping close by as well. Come pamper yourselves in our newly renovated LUX home. Contact host for shorter stays available April thru May

Our family loved our stay at Karen’s house. The house has so many personal touches that made our stay much more enjoyable. The bath towels, beach towels, and bed linens were very nice quality. The house was also the cleanest rental we have ever been in. It was very clear that Karen takes great care of the property. It felt more like an upscale hotel than a vacation rental. The backyard is meticulously cared for and we loved sitting in the screened in porch and enjoying the view of the grounds and water. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to cook. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolute Perfection

This house was absolutely perfect. Not only was it clean, but every single detail was considered. From cocktail utensils to appliances to blankets to anything you can think of, Karen thought of it. The owner was so easy to deal with, very responsive and the nicest person in the world. The house was set up perfectly so that our teenagers had their own living room and place to hang out in and the master bedroom was upstairs with the living room as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely return.

Labor Day Trip

The house was very nice and very clean. The bedrooms were spacious and the tv area on the second level was a great space for the kids. The kitchen was very organized and had plenty of dinnerware, cups and utensils. The kids loved using the tiny spoons. Thanks for a great place.

Great house and host!

We had an amazing week at this house. The location was good, a 10 min drive to the beach and only 1 mile to community pool. There were so many little touches the host thought of, from beach towels and chairs to coffee. Thanks so much for a great vacation stay!

Summer trip

What a wonderful home and Karen was great to work with! It was a perfect location for our group and the kids loved the dock in the back while the adults enjoyed the screened in porch. Close to everything and the home itself was beautifully kept and well stocked with all the essentials! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!!!!

Exceptional Experience

I can't say enough about this property and host. The house was very clean, well appointed including kitchen wear, beach chairs, towels and linens at no additional cost. The area of Colington with private beach on the sound and pool. We had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone.

Perfect setup for a large family in the outer banks

From start to finish Karen made our stay great! She was very welcoming leaving us a welcome note and sweet treats! The house has everything you could need to feel like you are at home. It’s very accommodating if you are bringing a boat as well. The fishing is awesome in the Harbour and just outside the sea wall going into the sound. Thank you Karen we will definitely stay again when returning to the outer banks

We couldn't ask for a better Host for our family vacation.

Our family rented this beautiful home two years in a row and we absolutely love it. Karen is such a great Host and was always checking on us. She went out of her way to make both stays relaxing and care free!! We had a dryer issue and the next day she was on top of it and had a new one in and hooked up before we returned from our outing that day. Now that is service!!! Definitely will be back!! THANKS KAREN you are the best!!!! We love your home.. Home away from home..

Excellent Stay

Karen definitely goes above and beyond. She was quick and thorough with her responses to the questions we had. She even messaged to check in on us to see how our stay was going. The house is beautiful with a great layout and is very clean. Kitchen was well stocked and Karen even left some goodies to welcome us for our stay. It was nice to have outdoor games, beach chairs, and beach towels all provided with the linens - just another thing that we didn't have to pack or rent - very nice touch. Our family and friends enjoyed a nice relaxing stay and the kids enjoyed crabbing off the dock, the house is just 10 mins to the closest beaches and convenient to restaurants/grocery stores. Billie's Seafood is just down the road and has very fresh seafood. Would absolutely rent again if we come back to the area.

Great home base

Karen was a welcoming, available, and generous host. The whole family enjoyed this vacation rental. The house is spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated and set up for spending time together with options to spread out a bit too. The kitchen is very well supplied with any tool we could have ever needed. We loved having both a screened porch and an open deck, and the ability to access the water directly from the yard. We spent time each day on the beach and were surprised how clear the water was. We checked out Manteo, Fort Raleigh, Jockey's Ridge, and Pea Island. We all went on an evening fishing trip to the Oregon Inlet. We enjoyed meals at Awful Arthur's, Poor Richard's, and 3 Tequila's but mostly ate at home or packed picnics to carry along. Many thanks Karen!

Best mini vacation spot ☀️

I have been traveling to OBX every year since I was a little girl (36 years). It wasn’t until I was in my 20’s that I was able to start renting houses on my own. This is by FAR my favorite house I’ve ever stayed in. Karen pays attention to every single detail when renting out her house. It was thoroughly cleaned before our arrival, which I greatly appreciated. She baked me and my two little girls cookies and left us the sweetest note by the beautiful fireplace. She knew I was traveling late after work and made sure to leave the lights on for me. The view from the screened in porch was my favorite part (I sat out there nightly). The girls also loved fishing off of her private dock each night. Karen checked in each day to make sure we didn’t need anything and that we were enjoying our stay. She provides everything you need for your stay and then some. We can’t thank you enough Karen! We will definitely be back ❤️

Outdoor R&R at its best

Firstly, Karen is the kind of host who goes above and beyond. She anticpated our every question and need. Gave us good "intelligence" ahead of time to plan for things (like Kayak rental to use at the house during our stay- worth it!). She popped over to bring more towels and detergent. I love the care & attention she puts into assuring everything is just right and communicating quickly. She was more than gracious with the couple of "oops" that happened during the stay (our fault, not hers). The place is spotless (I'm picky. I notice). Personally my favorite thing was having 4 different places to sit outside (under tree, 2 decks- love the screened one during the day and top for sunsets and am coffee) and ground level. We made good use of the provided beach chairs, umbrella and yard games (all new it seemed). The layout allowed us all to have room to be together or time apart. Location was super close and convenient to grocery store and Wright monument. It's a drive further afield to see horses on Corolla or Hatteras seashore, but plenty to do including beaches withiin 10-20 min. There are places on the road from main drag to Colington Harbor that may be handy small convenience store, coffee shop & pizza place (did not try). 2 places to buy fresh seafood (Billy's and Endurance- got great yummy clams at the former). Loved kayaking & going for a run in the neighborhood. Take in the sunset down by the pool for a treat. This is a top-notch home to spend a relaxing and fun week- because Karen has made it so inviting. We all agree we would choose it again. Many thanks!

Great Home!

This was a beautiful home. It is very well kept, super clean and had everything you need to enjoy your vacation. We have been going to OBX for 12 years and this was the most well stocked kitchen we have ever had! There was a very nice grill on the upstairs deck which came in handy. The owner was very welcoming, accomodating, and provided assistance if it was needed. Thanks again for providing such a nice home for our week long stay.

Excellent stay

We would HIGHLY recommend this house if you plan on staying in the OBX. Karen was awesome from the start. From the time we purchased the rental to the time we left. She was very helpful and the house was very clean,comfortable and felt like home. She even left us a nice gift basket to welcome us. We had a wonderful stay and didn't want to come back to reality. We definitely would stay here again on our next trip here. Thank you Karen!! Your awesome!!

Beyond expectations

The house was newly renovated, spacious and beautiful. This host thought of everything—the kitchen was better equipped than my own! She was always available if we needed anything and very flexible and accommodating. You won’t be disappointed renting this property!!

FAMILY VACATION TAKES TURN FOR THE BEST!

Our family has grown up spending summer vacations in OBX, but this year was shaping up to be slightly different. Cabin fever, the result of the worst pandemic in the last 100-years, drove the demand for 2021 beach rentals sky-high. Inventories quickly dried up while prices soared. Unable to secure a place anywhere from Corolla to South Nags Head, our exhaustive search led us to a beach house in Sandbridge, a cozy costal community just south of Virginia Beach. Just five days before the start of our July 4th holiday week beach vacation I received a phone call from the property management company alerting me to a situation. Seems the house was double-booked, and our family was out. A prompt reimbursement of the week’s rental was promised. This shocking news nearly caused me to come unglued. How could this be and moreover, how was I going to tell my family the vacay was off?! Quick thinking and a handy iPhone saved the day. I clicked on the VRBO app and discovered 213 Broadbay Drive was a new listing. Shocked and amazed to find this home available I made a quick decision to book it and what a fantastic choice that was. This newly renovated property, located in a gated community on the sound side of Kill Devil Hills, exceeded expectations from the moment we pulled up. Blooming potted plants lined a stone walkway to the backyard where a beautiful mimosa tree covered half the yard was shade. No doubt the best place to sink into a lawn chair to enjoy a good book, the smell of salt air, see birds in flight, enjoy an adult beverage, and more.… whatever your choice! In addition, my sons brought a fishing boat and tied it off at the private dock just about 50’ away from the house. Inside matched the outside and attention to detail shinned through. A comfortable balance of earth tones and warm colors set the mood. No shortcuts here. This place felt more like a home as it was appointed with furnishings of better-than-expected quality. I believe everything was new. The second level screened porch was a hit with three generations. So much so, its design inspired us to start redecorating ours. All bedrooms were comfortable and spacious, especially the Master Bedroom. The dark cherry poster bed was unexpected but certainly appreciated and so was the walk-in closet and soak tub. My name is Karen and I welcome you to "NIGHTS ON BROADBAY"
I have been in the hospitality / customer service business for over 35 years.
I have taken care of other homes for vacation/residential homeowners. When my time came I purchased this home. I spent 15 months gutting and remodeling it. I do my own pristine cleaning and make sure to supply the most quality and comfy beds, sheets, and towels plus extra stuff not supplied in most vacation rental homes. I'm very pleased I was able to make it so beautiful and share it with you I know what I expect for myself when I travel and I do not mind paying a bit extra for luxury. Another plus for my guests is that I live close by so if any issues arise during your stay they will be taken care of swiftly. :)

Colington Harbor is a short ride to the ocean. If you are looking for a safe gated community , quiet neighborhood with zero traffic noise this is it! Lots of wildlife. Very peaceful. Fabulous waterfront views sunrise to sunsets and night sky's are dazzling! 10 minutes to ocean shopping and dining. If you are looking for relaxing high end homeplace choose us! I promise you will not be disappointed!

Beautiful recently redone spacious home with indoor and outdoor separate spaces for alone time or beautifully appointed areas for family time together. 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 living rooms on separate floors. 2 huge smart tv's. along with a sound bar if you want to fill the home with music. Electric fireplace and ambient lighting on dimmer switches throughout the home. Private Master en suite bath with a Jacuzzi tub and shower. 3 expansive waterfront decks. Mid one covered and screened. Really cool to sit out there in a rain storm and stay dry! Very large outside shower. Lots of beautiful birds visit as well. I leave seed out so you can enjoy them too! Water fowl are seen daily and there are deer in the neighborhood as well.
