We were very disappointed with the overall condition of the home. Upon arrival, it was clear the house had not been cleaned at all after the previous guests. There was an unpleasant musty odor throughout, and during my stay, we also encountered a mouse inside the house, which was extremely unsettling.Our first night was essentially lost due to the time and effort required to clean the property before it was usable. We had also messaged the host, prior to our check-in date with some questions about the property and noone responded. After reporting the issues upon arrival directly to VRBO, as we could not get in touch with the host/property manager, the host sent the maintenance man to help us clean, which we appreciated. Don, property manager, later sent a message through VRBO apologizing and issued a small refund, but his overall communication was poor. We were disappointed that Don did not call us directly to apologize or discuss the situation in a more personal and professional manner.Given the overall condition of the property, inability to reach property manager and the lack of accountability from management, we cannot recommend this rental. We hope the owner takes the necessary steps to improve cleanliness, maintenance, and communication for future guests.
